Its a good place for a simple breakfast. There’s a lot of options as well. I don’t see much of a wow factor to the place, but then again I didn’t try their cosmic omelette. The décor is very unique to the place though, which is cool

I’ve lived in Manchester FOREVER it feels like and had NEVER eaten here. Being a lover of all things brunch I was excited when friends asked me if I wanted to join them I jumped all over the idea. Being 11:30 on a Sunday the placed was PACKED! I mean people waiting out the door and inside and everywhere you could wait. This is by far the mark of a good joint. So we waited about 20 minutes for a table and it was totally worth it. Our waitress was fun and cheery and legitimately loved her job. She offered up some great suggestions but we all pretty much decided on the staples. Biscuits and gravy, pancakes, french toast, sausage, corned beef hash and hashbrowns. Every single bite was amazing and the service was impeccable. Will definitely go back and would recommend anyone in the area to give it a shot too.

Came in with a group for lunch during the week. It’s an interesting place, the artwork is a little too triply for me. The menu is a little overwhelming at first, everyone at the table ended up with different breakfast dishes and we were content. My only real complaint is that the home fries were cold, but it wasn’t worth complaining about. 7 of us were in and out in an hour, I don’t think that would be the case on a weekend.

I would say the reviews are pretty accurate. it is in a little multi store front, and is good breakfast fair. the menu is very attractive with lots of options. the whole cosmic concept helps to make the place attractive. the food was good, being my first time I played it safe, eggs and bacon. home fries were very tasty and service good. I would go back next time I am in the area

Oh man. This place. This place is like the Disney World of hippie breakfast restaurants. And the food’s good too! I’ll have to start this review with the atmosphere here — they really take their name to heart, just about every inch of the joint is decked out in some form of eggs or space. Make sure to ‘follow the yellow brick road’ toward the back. You will come upon quite a trippy little art shop in the back, sometimes with an artist at work. If you can, definitely pick up a piece or two and support the talents sharing their work here. And now that you’ve got that image in your mind… The food! It may take a little while to get, but I haven’t found a bad menu item yet. Be sure to get your first omelet ‘cosmic style’, it’s a gamechanger in the omelet world. Outside of the eggs, I’ve found similar quality in the pancakes, sandwiches, and hashbrowns. Coffee could be a little less watery, but I love that their mugs are sponsored by local businesses — clever! The staff is always super pleasant and upbeat, amidst a ton of choas. You really gotta tip your hat to these folks, they operate pretty much at capacity all of breakfast-brunch hours while everyone else lounges and works off their hangovers, and somehow they don’t quit their jobs. Love Cosmic Omelet, will nom at again! P. S.: if you’re nearby, ordering breakfast for pick up is a godsend

I’ve been coming here since 2010. It’s my boyfriends and my favorite breakfast place. Go for the Tiffany’s omelet and cubed homefries! The soda is local to Manchester. They also showcase local artists work, just follow the yellow brick road!

I think this is the best breakfast joint in Manchester. I took my mom here recently and she said, ‘They’re really working the stoner angle, huh?’. I can’t really disagree with her– Stoner Cereal is a menu option, and they do things with carbs I never would have thought of doing– high or not. I’ve tried multiple items on the menu and all of them have been amazing. I never would have thought to put cream cheese in an omelet, and since I’ve had it I can’t imagine not putting it in. My favorite is the Joey’s Cosmic Omelet.

I get it, it’s Mothers day. Your going to have a wait no matter what, but unfortunately this was not worth it. As much as I love supporting small owned businesses, it is a «been there, done that» experience for me. Huge amount of space yet only a small part of it is used for dining. Not clean at all, the kitchen was filthy, food was anything you can get at any greasy diner and the one positive is that the waitress was very sweet and pleasant.

Let me start by saying that I used to love love this place. Favorite breakfast spot ever. I visited this morning though and was a bit disappointed. In reading some recent reviews it looks like that may be a recent theme. Pros: very nice waitress who was very accommodating to where we were seated. Wished my happy Mother’s Day and was all together pleasant. Loaded potatoes were delightful and on point. Cons: joeys cosmic omelet was less than cosmic there was no detectable cream cheese at all. Sausage was strips of sausage patty. If I recall correctly it used to be served ground. Husband had the alligator with no onions. This used to be ground up beef. He got cut up hamburger patty. He likened to a weird burger instead of an omelet. Service was just slow. Although the waitress was super friendly and nice the service was just overall slow. So I may think twice before going back. They are losing their special. I miss what made them special.

My girlfriend and I came here for breakfast on Sunday and although we had to wait about half an hour for a seat, there was enough things to do to keep us occupied until our table was ready. There were arcade games in the back and a lot of interesting decorations all around. When we had the chance to sit down, there was even a set of cards at the table and we played some cards as we waited for our waitress. We ordered a coffee and apple juice and I got a cosmic mad max omelet(with steak, cream cheese, peppers, onions, cilantro, and cheddar. I got it with a toasted muffin and loaded home fries. My girlfriend, on the other hand, got a breakfast with eggs over medium, bacon, and hash browns, along with a side of corned beef hash. I thought the home fries were pretty good, although I was disappointed that it wasn’t as flavorful as it looked. The omelet was alright, but didn’t really amaze me. I found that the cream cheese wasn’t as weird as I had expected. It kind of acted like sour cream the way it worked in the omelet, providing a creamy texture to go along with the omelet. I really enjoyed the snickerdoodle muffin though — it was cut in half and very crispy around the edges. My girlfriend enjoyed her dish, though she chose not to get her hash browns loaded. The corned beef hash, which I nabbed a little bit of, was also ok. Overall, I found this place to be pretty good, but not amazing. That said, I did like the fact that they gave the remainder of your coffee in a to-go cup and topped it off for you, which was very nice of them. That’s good service.

This place is cosmic and may change your day! Although service is a bit slow it’s definitely because it is packed and busy this Friday. In fact, the local news is here doing a food service segment. You have everything here to feed your stomach, mind and soul so stop by when in town. My Philly Cheesesteak Omelette was fantastic and the cubed-style hashed browns equally so.

It took me too long to eat here! The staff is wonderful, environment welcoming and I love that they support local artists. After you eat a homemade meal, you must visit the gallery in the back! Me and my friends were seated immediately and the waitress came over to take our order soon after that. She sat down and had a conversation with us as well. I love the easy going vibe here, yet everyone is always working hard! A great restaurant for everyone!

Nice, fun local place, great breakfast! Interior is uniquely painted and decorated with local art, including an outer space themed floor with a yellow-brick road. A nice change over more corporate venues. An enticing selection of omelets includes half a dozen«cosmic» suggestions(«cosmic» includes whipped cream cheese — highly recommended). I went with«Joey’s Cosmic Omelet» — sausage, mushrooms, cheddar, jalepeños and cream cheese. The omelet was very good, if a tad dry(my own fault), and they certainly don’t skimp on the filling!(I wish I had read the heading more carefully — they offer to cook omelets«soft» for those who don’t care for dry eggs — note for next time). As good as the omelet was, the sides were a little less inspiring. When I ordered grits I was offered cheese(80¢ undisclosed upcharge btw) which still didn’t help. I may have been spoiled by having grits below the Mason-Dixon line but these are simply dull. The biscuit had apparently been heated on the grill which I don’t think is the right way to treat it, but was ok once I got a side of butter.** Overall, small shortcomings that didn’t really detract from my meal. No complaints about the service: Kristen was pleasant and showed up promptly and at appropriate times. Food preparation time was appropriate: neither slow nor so fast as to cause alarm. Nice to see that they serve locally-made Hosmer Mountain sodas rather than one of the cola giant’s offerings. It would be nice to see more local restaurants catch on to the importance of local sourcing. This was my first visit and I look forward to coming back and trying the house-made corned beef hash and Tracy’s Cosmic Omelet(no grits this time). , **A rarity: the butter arrived at a spreadable temperature. For some unfathomable reason manyrestaurants, including so-called«upscale» venues, can’t seem to do any better than rock-hard butter nuggets, which are completely incompatable with warm food. **

I’ve been here twice. On my first visit, I had their biscuits and gravy; it didn’t blow me away, but one can’t expect too much from Southern food made in New England. For my second visit, I went with the dish that’s in their name — and it was first-rate: my Western omelet had the flexible fluffiness that you would want, and was generously filled with fresh ingredients. It was so good that it made up for the home fries, which were serviceable but not as impressive as some I’ve had elsewhere. Service was quick and friendly, and it played a large part in my coming back. The place itself is somewhat younger than other diners, but it feels like it’s been around longer despite the quirky(and awesome) décor. While I was there, an elderly gent took the seat next to me, and, without looking at the menu, ordered a sausage, egg, and cheese on a hard roll with mayo. One thing I really appreciated was their selection of hot sauces. Most places only have one or two, but there were *eight* in the carrier in front of me, and I tried almost all of them.(The best was the green El Yucateco.) Cosmic Omelet is solid, and definitely one of the better options in the area. I think I want to work my way through all of their different omelets.

One of my favorite places to visit when I visit CT! From the menu to the décor, all of your senses are delighted when dining at this gem. My favorite menu item is the«Brave and Curious». I like to end breakfast wth a tour of their art room in the back, just follow the yellow brick road!

Cream cheese and eggs… who would have ever thought?! I was very surprised by the food and how it tasted. The food came quick and our waitress was very nice. I think the layout of the restaurant could be a little better. There was one instance where a customer and server collided, spilling orange juice and coffees everywhere. And as I was leaving, I almost bumped into the server carrying many plates of fresh food. If you are heading here on the weekends, expect a wait.

Spaceships. BREAKFAST, spaceships. Eggs, spaceships. Though there were no spaceships to be found in and/or around this place, the plates were round, so that’s close. Now that we’ve gotten past the name — «Coz Om» as(nobody?) calls it, was recommended to me by my brother and his girlfriend, as they often take up residence at a table or booth on days that end in «y» for breakfast, brunch, and/or lunch. Before I moved to NJ I never really did the breakfast/brunch thing, so there is plenty of northern CT breakfast real estate i’ve yet to conquer. Despite that, I will find it difficult not to come back here instead of trying something new. The menu here encompasses so much CT down-home goodness and has so many options(especially for omelettes, hence the name) that I had trouble figuring out what I wanted. I went fairly classic with the fajita omelette(100% conquered), though the McOmelette found its way diagonally across the table from me(in a wrap) and despite the odd description and my propensity not to eat breakfast hamburgers… it looked really awesome and is on my list of «gotta try this.» Even with the entire page of compiled omelette options… there is always an option to create your own masterpiece. The hash browns were crispy and I was all about that toast(I love toast) — so much so that I would have been happy with a few more slices. We also threw a plate of biscuits and gravy right in the middle of the table for all to share. I can count the number of times i’ve ever had this dish on two fingers, and I was open to adding a third. Definitely worth trying, though I’d be hard pressed to get more than ¼ of the way through the dish — they are, as the name so gallantly suggests… super heavy. I washed it all down with grapefruit juice and called it a day. Be prepared to wait, especially if you come during prime weekend hours. There seem to be video games in the back(I did not see which ones) so there is the possibility of pre-food, during food, or even post-food game playing. Also, the best time to come is when it’s close to your birthday and your brother is taking care of the check. Got any gold flakes back there? My omelette needs to sparkle. Money is no object.

Late review, we stopped here for breakfast on Monday February 16th. I noticed a lot of reviews for the Cosmic Omelet, I’ve had it bookmarked on Unilocal for a short time. Since we were going to be in the Manchester area, decided to stop for breakfast and see what all the fanfare was about. I liked the«Alien theme» inside, was pretty neat. But after that, things went downhill. First thing we noticed was that the staff seemed like they didn’t want to be there, just miserable attitudes. One girl filling up coffee smiled when she came by, but that was only smile we saw while we were eating breakfast. And as in my last review(First & Last Tavern in Avon), the staff was arguing in the kitchen area, which is in full view of all the customers. Maybe this winter has been hard on the people in Connecticut, but try to lighten up people ! Anyway, on to the food. We might have made a mistake by not ordering the namesake, omelets, but honestly, the food we did receive was very bland & boring. My fiancée ordered the Eggs Benedict, I went with the Sausage pancakes. Everything was flavorless. My fiancée’s hash brown’s were clumpy. I could barely detect the sausage in my «sausage pancakes». And the pancakes themselves were dry. What’s the point of going out to eat if you can make something better at home?(and I’m no cook, by any means). Needless to say, we won’t be coming back. You’ve got to do better than have a cool theme folks.
