Gerich’s Service Station & Garage

I’ve driven past this place a hundred times and never even noticed it was there, until the check engine light came on and I turned to Unilocal to find a place that people seem to trust with their vehicles. I brought my car in and I could not be happier with the job they did.
When it comes to cars, I don’t know much other than how to change the oil and that «transmission» and «alternator» are words you never want to hear out of your mechanic’s mouth. If there’s a problem and I need to take my car in for work, I just want to know in simple terms what’s wrong with it, what they need to do to fix it, and how much it’s going to cost me. Gerich’s did all of this and gave me a great price to boot. I appreciated that they took smaller steps that might solve the problem before diving in and replacing everything in sight. When it became apparent that more detailed work was needed, they were up front about the whole process and even gave me the part they replaced in case the issue comes back and it turns out that particular repair wasn’t needed. I had an almost identical issue with the same car about a year ago, and these guys beat the price I paid then by over a hundred bucks.
The cynic in me says this is how garages do business — suck people in with a low price and quick turnaround, then rip them off before they know what hits them the next time they have to come in. I’d like to believe there are still places like Gerich’s that believe in honest work and service. I hope I don’t see them again soon, but they’ve earned my business.

I have a hyundai sonata 2007 and i suffered a problem of brake pad and rotor. Gerich’s is my first choice even i just look through the reviews on Unilocal.the guy here are very friendly, he help me find the problem and fix it well. what’s more, the price here is also very reasonable, and the price i got shocked many of my friends, all of them think this is a great price. I also ask he many questions about the car and he explain to me very patiently. if you want to choose a reliable garage, i definitely recommend Gerich’s.

Went to have them take a look at my car and they got me in right away. Got me an estimate (which was a decent price), and when I took my car in to be fixed for the problem, they explained what I might be experiencing with the new pump. Not many places are willing to take the time and explain everything to you (and I don’t know much about cars!). Cliff and George are good guys. I recommend calling ahead before you take your car in because they do get busy at times.

We’ve been looking for years for a good, reliable and honest garage to keep our vehicles in shape. Gerich’s has now proven to be just that. These are good guys, straight shooters, never feeding you a line and they stand behind their work.
I only hope they are around for many years to come!

Had problem with power steering and they got me in and fixed the problem. A great place if your in need of help.

4 years later they’re still my reliable autobody shop. Just a note — Gerich’s closed the gas station & convenience shop portion but the repair garage is still up, running, and convenient as ever.
I took my car in yesterday because I’ve been putting off a few essential repairs for a while (new serpentine belt, rattly water pump valve, etc) and needed to bite the bullet once and for all and spend the cash.
Cliff and George Gerich are fantastic to work with — they are prompt (I left my car overnight since I wasn’t in an immediate rush), reasonable in cost, and reliable. From regular maintenance to more costly services, I’d give ‘em my business over another mechanic any day. Family owned since the 1930s — something to be said for that!
