CLOSED? This place seems to have abruptly closed a month ago. It was the closest place to go for when I had a hankering for Chinese, and they had a great variety of other foods, too. I’ve been trying to call intermittently, and have also gone by there twice, but no one is around. Someone please tell me they’ll reopen again!!! Does anyone have any info?

ordered the 20 piece fried chick wings and they were surprisingly good. I would suggest to add more season to the wings. The food was ready in 10−15mins and was hot when we arrived home w/the order… I am a fan of Popeye Chicken and usually will drive the distance to Ma or Portsmouth, NH… This is my new go to spot!

Delivery was super fast and friendly. Food is middle of the pack for Chinese delivery in Manchester; not great, but not bad either. Consider Golden Chicken II if you’re looking for something quick, reliable, and cheap. Just don’t set your expectations too high for delicious food. Super friendly customer service! I ordered delivery online, then received a call that they were out of one of my items. He made up for it with a large(14pc) crab Rangoon when the item I ordered only came to about $ 3. The chicken teriyaki sticks were amazing, fried rice a tad salty but duck sauce fixed it. Prices are great, delivery was fast too. Will be ordering again!

I just moved and after a long day of painting and cleaning I decided to order some food. It took an hour and a half to arrive but the guy did call after an hour and 20 minutes to tell me. They gave me the food and left. I wasn’t giving any napkins or silverware. I no way to eat my lo mein or two soups that I got. I wasn’t very happy. I drove to the market to grab some silverware. Couldn’t believe I had to do that after waiting an hour and a half. The soups were terrible. The first one Tom yum soup was horrid. The taste was just off. The hot and sour soup had a very thick broth and instead of the normal tofu that goes in hot and sour soup they used weird morsels of chicken. The soup was not spicy in the least. Worst hot and sour soup I’ve ever had. The lo mein was good the shrimp salad was bland. I paid $ 30 for lo mein basically.

Came here out of desperation trying to find decent southeast Asian food in Manchester. Service is super friendly and they have specials for free apps for spending $ 20 $ 30 etc. Pork fried rice was ok but nothing to write home about. Shrimp in the Pad Thai was particularly good, juicy and marinated. Real winner was the coconut soup, pair that with a rice dish and I’m pretty happy. So far this is the best I’ve found in the area as the place down the street seems to always be closed.

Golden Chicken II opened recently in the former China Kitchen space on Hanover St, east of Pine St. This place is very cozy and small, which has a small waiting area in front of the takeout counter and 4 high seats along the front window for eating in. The original Golden Chicken(now closed) was located on S Main St, which is now occupied by Gyroscope. The menu offerings at Golden Chicken II are similar to Golden Chicken, which consists of mostly Chinese dishes/items/combos, Japanese dishes(hibachi combos, teriyaki bowls), Thai style curry dishes, fried chicken, chicken tenders, wings, fried seafood, side dishes, and can soda(the other location has self serve fountain soda). The prices here are pretty reasonable, most individual items and combo meals under $ 10 and family size meals(Chinese, fried chicken pieces/buckets with sides) priced accordingly. I stopped in at Golden Chicken II for a quick dinner. I ordered a Special Combo Eggplant with Shrimp served with fried rice and can of soda($ 6.49 plus tax). The food was hot and ready in under 10 minutes. I grabbed a can of cold Diet Coke from the cooler. The portion of food was just right, enough to eat in one sitting. The main entrée had good flavors, which had soft pieces of Chinese eggplant, fresh snow peas, sliced carrots, bamboo shoots, baby corn, tender shrimp(cleaned) in a savory brown sauce. The fried rice(tan color) was soft with small pieces of egg in the mix. I would definitely return here again for the fresh cooked combo meals(with fried rice and drink) at reasonable prices. NOTE: This location does not deliver, but the other location on S Main St offers delivery. PARKING: Pay street parking in front of business. Free street parking, one block to the east along Hanover St.
