If I’m going out for the night, I’m coming to the Shaskeen. Best bartenders, best crowd, and not a total shit show like McGarveys. Food is good too!

Was here during the New Hampshire primary election 2016. Great service! Not THE BEST food but really very good bar food, and the bartenders and waitstaff are terrific. Very solid burger!

I have been here 3 times for lunch within the last 3 months. The food has always been great! I really think they make an outstanding reuben which I ordered 2 of the 3 times and both times it was equally satisfying.
I could only give 3 stars because twice lunch took an abnormally long amount of tkme. Both times there were less than 6 people in the entire place. One time it took 35 mins and the other 40 mins. There was nothing complicated ordered just sandwiches with no substitutions or changes. The waitresses were always apologetic and felt horrible about the wait time. The service on that time shines but both times I say there thinking what couid take so long to make a Reuben and burger?!
My take away is that I do like this place but only for dinner or a couple of pints after hours.

Food here is great, best hot wings I’ve ever had. The Haddock was really good, fresh and hot. My wife got the Ruben and that was great too. My only complaint is the service isn’t that great, at all actually. Very long wait times while the waitress just walks by over and over again and didn’t even acknowledge your existence.

The sister bar to the Burren in Sommerville (of which I know quite well), I managed to make it here the other night. It’s a nice place — neat setup with a bar in the front and one in back as well. Neat seating arrangements — I personally like the little two-person cubby. Guinness is awesome here. Thumbs up from me!

I don’t even have a star to give this place. The bartenders were cool. But I find it very disrespectful to kick a Marine out of the bar for being «too drunk» on his birthday celebrating with his brothers. What a disgrace. I will NEVER come here as well as EVER recommend this place to anyone. Make sure you don’t drink more than one beer at this establishment or else they’ll accuse you of having too many!

Awesome Irish pub. Excellent selection of beer and food. They play Irish music because it’s great and we like it.
