Went there for lunch about a month ago. Place was dead other than for two other parties. She took forever to take my order, and the food wasn’t good either. They also didn’t have a good variety to choose from for lunch. I’m wondering how they’re still open?

Food was not that good. She did not ask for our drink orders but was friendly and polite. I ordered the pad thai… It was alright. The scariest part was that there was a microwave near the counter and I saw her heating up my food… that was very disturbing as I am paying for that. Prices were reasonable is the pad Thai tasted better. But it tasted eh so it wasn’t worth it. Won’t be going back

I am surprised that this restaurant is lower rated on Unilocal. There are not many places in Manchester which serve rice! I am talking on behalf of vegetarians as I don’t eat meat. My fav soup here is tom yum soup. Some of the good main course dishes are vegetable fried rice, pad thai, stir fry. You can ask any dish without meat like basil rice! If you like asian cuisine you might like this place, check it out.

I’m only giving one star because Unilocal requires it. Their food here is very bland which is the exact opposite of what Thai food should be. Service is very slow. They have odd hours, mostly just a lunch spot. There is another great Thai restaurant in tiwn, Lakorn. You’re better off going there if you want authentic Thai food.

Meh. This place is fine, but nothing particularly good. It was too cold inside. I asked for the wide rice noodles and got skinny yellow noodles. Which tasted fine but wasn’t what I wanted. The sweet and sour was too sweet and also too spicy. The prices were higher than the quality/size do the food. They didn’t have lemons so they brought me lime for my water. I’m sick and cranky today so not much will make me happy which is why this review is all complaining but they still get 3 stars.

Ordered the chicken pad thai. The chicken was boiled and tasted like it had been in the fridge for a weak

Massaman Curry, Delish! My partner and I came up from NC for a quick visit and my cousin said«I’m bringing you guys out for lunch for the best Thai ever!» This was a 12:15 lunch on a Friday. Indeed, it was very satisfying. To be honest I have only had Thai about six times in my life, but regardless, I was impressed and would make this a regular spot if I still lived here. I got the Massaman Curry — spicy, warm, and found this to be what I would consider a perfect comfort food. Go order this on a chilly fall or winter day, or on a summer day and just sweat! :) And ask for extra spicy if you really need some warming up! Tiya and her husband the chef are quite friendly and accommodating. Don’t forget to have a Mai Tai while you’re there. Wow, those were some tasty drinks — be careful, you will like them! The restaurant itself may be 15 – 20 years old or so, but you’re not going there necessarily for home décor ideas — you’re going there for a big delicious portion of Massaman, a well made(potent) cocktail, and friendly service! Enjoy!

had lunch today and absolutely loved the Basil Chicken. I asked for it not too spicey and it was just right. Service was perfect and everyone was friendly.

This is the only Thai restaurant down town so I eat here relatively often. I can tell you the pad thai is hit or miss– sometimes it is steaming hot, delicious, and the peanut sauce has just the right kick to it. Other times it is overcooked and a bit bland. It isn’t worth getting chicken in it because i’m pretty sure they just boil it. The portion size is huge though. I almost always get the pad thai so I won’t comment on the other dishes. Service is pretty good and they know you after just a couple visits.

If I had written this review three months ago, I would have given Tiya’s four stars, because I’ve been absolutely ADDICTED to their Pad Thai for about that long. I get it with tofu; have had it with chicken, but it never sat well with me, never tasted really fresh. Now I know why. I was picking up several orders and arrived about five minutes before they were ready. If you are in the cash out area, you have view of the entire kitchen. I watched fresh, steaming pad thais heading out to diners, but our styrofoam containers of it were microwaved before being parceled to go. This was a turning point for me. I had read another review that said their food was reheated lunch leftovers and now I understand why. Won’t be taking out from there again.

This place is owned and operated by bigots. After discovering a party of 3, 2 adults, 1 child, was a family with two moms, they talked about it «He has twwwooooo moms???» loudly, with every other staff member. This family was then, stared at and gawked at until they finished their meal and left. You may not agree with their«lifestyle», but wrong is wrong. Boycott this restaurant run by bigots, or your race or gender could be next to be gawked at and made fun of.

I LOVE Tiya’s. It is always great, fresh food that you can tell is prepared with love. I have tried tons of other Thai restaurants and will always crave Tiya’s. The Pad Thai is my favorite with a sweet and spicy, creamy peanut sauce. It is the best sauce around and is available for purchase on its own. I love it. If you are a fan of the dry Pad Thai then don’t be disappointed when you get their yummy creamy sauce. Their spring rolls(the fried ones) are totally awesome too and the sauce that comes with it is great as well. I have also had the Masaman Curry and would have it again but I just love the Pad Thai so much… Over all, I would highly recommend Tiya’s and often do. I take visitors there regularly and miss having it around the corner from my work… I now work out of town. But, I order it regularly for take-out. Of course, the cherry on top is always Tiya who has such a friendly and great attitude that you look forward to visiting each time. It is a real treat! If the food is Americanized as others have said, so what?!? It is still yummy food. Give it a try! You won’t be disappointed!

One of the best lunches in Manchester. Excellent massaman curry chicken, green curry, and basil chicken or beef. Also get the beef satay(skewers with peanut sauce)! Hi quality meat. The service is excellent! Tiya is fun and caring and the wait staff is just cute as a button.

One of our favorite restaurants. Always a terrific meal. We’ve been there at least a dozen times and takeout many dozens of times. We’ve brought family and friends there and they’ve all loved it to a point where they return regularly. Tiya is very nice and loves to talk and joke with the customers. We loved the beef basil(hot) and beef satay. The pork-fried rice(light and sweet) and spring rolls are the best we’ve ever had. You won’t be dissapointed.

The first time I go to a thai restaurant I like to get the Pad Thai as a starting point for comparison to other restaurants. I ordered takeout and the service was friendly. It was a Friday and was pretty busy inside when I went to pickup my order so I was getting excited it would be good, at least decent. I was wrong. The pad thai was dry and bland. It tasted almost like it had actual peanut butter in it. The noodles were over cooked and the combination of the lack of sauce and flavor with the overcooked noodles made me feel like I was eating paste. I gave it 2 stars because of their good service and I do want to go back and try something else on the menu before I completely write Tiya’s off. Maybe it was a bad night. ..

Not the best Thai Food I had in Town. It is really americanized. Everything was bland and had no taste. I had the Chicken with Ginger. I feel like I am eating more of a chinese food than Thai??? Pad Thai also was very bland and had very little taste. Service was okay. Portions are good but I would rather have good food than more food. The owner was very nice but the food does not approve. Sorry Tiya!!!

Food was really not that good. It’s been way too americanized and evolved into a sort of chinese-takeout-esque style. The padthai was extremely off and had no flavor. My friend asked the waitress to recommend something and he got a bland lomein-like noodle dish. My green curry was the only dish that was decent with spice. I would’ve hands down given this place 1 star, but Tiya was a sweetheart. She came over and talked to us for a good while. I guess this shows that service does somewhat make up for less than spectacular food.

This is a good place for Thai food in Downtown Manchester(takeout or dine-in). The menu offers soups, appetizers(satay, spring rolls), Thai salads, curry dishes, hot pots, house specialties, vegetarian dishes, healthy dishes, noodle/rice dishes, and some Chinese dishes. Beer and wine are served here. I stopped in here around 5:00PM(opening for dinner) on a quiet Saturday evening. The open dining area with high ceiling has lunch counter stool seating and table seating with table cloth & linen napkins/silverware and wooden chairs. I started out with a bowl of Tom Kar Gai Soup($ 2.75) which had chicken, sliced mushrooms in a spicy coconut milk/chile broth, a good start. For dinner, I had the Pad Thai($ 8.50), which was a good portion of rice noodles, shrimp, chicken, bean sprouts, egg, lots of spices, topped with crushed peanuts and served with a side of peanut sauce. This Pad Thai was prepared the way I like it, SPICY&NOTGREASY, yet very tasty. The staff will prepare any dish with more or less spices. The service here was friendly. The hours of operation are limited: Lunch: Monday-Friday(11:00AM to 3:00PM) Dinner: Friday-Saturday(5:00PM to 10:00PM)
