Serenity Home and Gifts

Serenity is a great place to shop! Kim always has a large variety of unique Louisiana/​New Orleans-​type items… lots of fleur-​de-​lis jewelry, art, glassware, scarves, shirts, etc., at reasonable prices. She has a wonderful selection of gorgeous handmade jewelry which I think rivals Mignon Faget, but for a MUCH more reasonable price! I have bought numerous gifts there, and they seemed to make an impression (even the one I bought for my picky son). I have returned or exchanged once or twice, and there has never been a problem. Kim is always helpful, makes great suggestions, and will go out of her way to try to get whatever you’re looking for. Stop in here and you won’t leave empty-​handed; it’s impossible!

I love this shop! Kim is always so friendly and helpful when I stop in and she always has the perfect gift at an awesome price. I noticed that some one complained about bad customer service, but I have NEVER experienced anything but the best.
I would reccomend that you give them another shot. Kim prides herself on making her customers feel at home, while they are in her shop.

While visiting home for the holidays, my mom and I decided to check out Serenity and hopefully get me some cute NOLA stuff for my home. The selection was good-​many cute gifts!
However we did not buy anything because the customer service was so poor. When we walked in the woman working was sitting behind the register on the phone. It was apparent that her conversation was personal-​yes, it was that loud. I found that I was whispering to my mom so we didn’t interrupt her unprofessional and rude behavior. We were the only people in the store and were in there for at least 10 – 15 minutes before she hung up and finally greeted us.
I was so annoyed that I decided to just go to Fleurty Girl. They have a lot of the same stuff and the girl who works there is great!

Serenity is a wonderful locally-​owned gift shop, filled with unique items representative of Louisiana and New Orleans. I have bought several gifts here (as well as some things for myself!) that I definitely felt were «different», and I think the people I gave them to really loved them. Great place for fleur de lis gifts… LSU…Saints. Some really beautiful jewelry at a reasonable price (Kim designs some of it herself). And there is no problem with returning an item if you need to do so. Kim and her staff are always helpful and pleasant, and will go out of their way to try to get anything you need if it’s not on display. Absolutely recommend shopping here! Christmas is coming, and I have my eye on a couple of things right now!

I loved this place! I spent quite some time in New Orleans hunting for the right fleur de lis jewelry, and the friend I was staying with brought me here before I headed to the airport for home. I wish I’d checked here first! I got a beautiful, locally made scarf; a large sterling silver fleur de lis charm, fleur de lis earrings with pink pearls on the bottom, and more. Kim was super nice and helpful and went out of her way to help me find what I was looking for. Prices were good. I’m always happy to support a local business and buy things that weren’t made in China. Kim said she’d ship to me as well if I was interested in the necklace that matched the earrings. Now I just wish Serenity was in California!
