HORRIBLE experience and I didn’t even get my hair cut. Walked in shortly after opening. One lady was getting her haircut and I waited for her to finish. She paid and the lady called me back and told me to have a seat. The chair was still covered in hair from the previous customer and the apron was laying on the floor. I waited to sit down and had to ask the lady cutting hair to please clean it up. She made some under the breath comment about it, though the entire footrest and area around the chair were covered in hair. She picked up the apron off the floor and got ready to put in on me. Now, just to be clear. I am no neat freak. I am also not a high maintenance guy who is overly particular about things. But I don’t want my feet(I had flip flops on) covered in someone else’s hair or having to put on something that has been laying on a hair covered floor. So, here I sit, kinda grossed out about the situation and the lady asks how I want my hair cut. I tell her short on the sides and show her the poof I want cut off. She asks if I want a razor cut or a #1. I don’t know what a #1 is and I tell her I just want the poof taken off and my hair cleaned up. Same as I tell every other person who cuts my hair. She tells me she can’t cut my hair until she knows how short I want it, but in a tone like I was putting her out by being the only customer in the place. I will say, I am not a young kid. I have had more than my share of haircuts in my life. NEVER before have I had a barber/stylist/whatever not be able to cut my hair off the description I give them on what I want. I’m about as easy of a haircut person there is. But the level of incompetence in this lady(I won’t even dignify her with any label associated with cutting hair) hindered her ability to ration any form of thought and treat me like a valued customer. Disgusting, rude and nasty. That was my experience with this location. Probably the reason I was the only one there and then had a 45 minute wait literally across the street at a rival company.

Supercuts is open on Sunday! I try and get my hair cut every three weeks or so. I normally go to the same spot and just wait for the first stylist available. This is my routine and I rarely deviate from it. This past Sunday I realized it had been nearly five weeks and my head was looking quite shabby. When I pulled up to my regular spot I quickly realized it was closed. I exclaimed(to no one in particular): «EGAD! What am I to do?» Lucky for me, Unilocal informed me of Supercuts being open. From there the experience gets less exciting. The shop appeared very worn out and somewhat dated. The carpet was completely worn through in spots and there weren’t many chairs or cutting positions. There were also only two stylists on duty, and many people waiting for a cut. Once I was seated, my stylist was friendly and did a decent job with one exception. She trimmed my sideburns where they ended up completely uneven. I didn’t realize till a day later which meant I walked around with my left sideburn significantly shorter than the right for an entire day. Luckily I am handy with a razor and fixed it so people would stop ridiculing me, at least for that particular reason. I did appreciate them being open on Sunday, but I don’t think this will become my go-to spot.
