all good, great bartenders and fun to talk to when in between customers. The pretezl is $ 10 bucks but huge. The boys know their beers.

So so. I ordered the pastrami burger but instead I got a coleslaw burger with a thin layer of pastrami, I think. I ate it because I was hungry, but left feeling like a victim of false advertising. Don’t call it a pastrami burger, call it a coleslaw burger. Also, my son got the southwestern penne pasta but it tasted like pasta with salsa as the sauce. Meh…

Good beer selection. Quality food and a decent staff. It’s made to lure in the tourists, but continues to work in the locals as well. A bit crowded on the weekends, but still the feel you want when you have a beer with a few friends. Come catch the game and enjoy the MB downtown. A Staple of the downtown area.

This place has terrible customer service. The hostess(Bianca) has the wait be seated sign up. I wait and they ask me if I need something. I ask to sit at a very empty table near a window in a half full restaurant and she replied,” no, I can’t. you don’t have enough people.” Bianca is the face of the company when she hosting, don’t get an attitude with potential guests when they don’t want to sit at the very back near the kitchen. Last time I checked, any number of people is enough people to spend money in any establishment. The table by the window was 2 two tops pushed together for the group of 3 that was just there. Sit the next person at the back table. Extremely rude. I stopped into brewco before I catch my flight and can’t even get anything to eat. If this is how you represent Manhattan beach I’m glad I know now instead of wasting time coming back here. Pass on this place, the generic menu doesn’t make up for the lack of common sense and courtesy provided by the staff. Thank you Michael M. For reaching out. If I am back in LA I will stop by.

The food was great, but the beer selection was not what I was expecting. As a Tap room they should have some local beers from around the area or unique and hard to find beers, out of the 30 some plus taps they had only two! The beer list was not up to date, the server had no idea what beer they had on tap, didn’t seem to care and didn’t offer any suggestions.

To cut right to the chase Brewco is a great place to come for ambiance and its exhaustive and nicely curated beer list but only plan to stay for the food if you are really hungry. One rule of thumb to follow with the menu is that the quality is inversely related to the amount of cooking involved. That means salads, apps are a good bet but that burgers less so. My burger, ordered medium rare as good sense and respectability demand, arrived closer to medium well/hockey puck. Alas. The truth is that the burger patties are too thin to cook to temp. They would be better off not asking for a temperature. But when you are asked you expect a certain end product. Other nice features of Brewco are the open air windows(you can see the beach from some seats); the TVs; rotating tap list; and solid décor.

Food is good and there are plenty of seating options depending on who you’re with. Good for dates, hanging out with friends or just having a night cap at the bar. Close enough to parking structure and very close to the pier for those romantic beach walks!

Pulled Pork Sliders from Brewco Manhattan Beach. I’ve had a bunch of great experiences at Brewco and some amazing dishes. This was not one of them. To go food is always a crap shoot. But these would be a mess either way. Sloppy with a flat flavor of sweet and gross. The side salad was decent but could not make up for the sliders. I’ll have to go in and try something else to give a more fair review. This dish needs to be off the menu. Sorry but sometimes things just miss.

A-Okay place right next to the pier. I would come back for a beer but skip the food which is overpriced. They have a lot of beers on tap, including my favorite, Nut Brown by Ale Smith. My chipotle burger was surprisingly good. I really liked the green chilies and guacamole. I chose the Brussel sprouts for my side. They were well seasoned and a nice relatively healthier option. Other sides include fries, curly fries, sweet potato fries, and Mac and cheese to name a few.

My husband and I were walking in the area and thought we’d stop in for lunch. We were seated quickly and our server came by and took our drink orders right away. The menu is pretty extensive, so it took us a few minutes to decide. I ordered a lunch size kale salad, and a cup of split pea soup. My husband ordered a filet mignon quesadilla. The soup came out within five minutes, and was nice and hot. It didn’t taste like it was made from scratch, but was passable. The entrees came out very fast, and I noticed fairly quickly that my kale salad was missing the raisins, sunflower seeds, and pine nuts. Our server was very pleasant about the missing items and brought them out very fast. She apologized and it really wasn’t that big of a deal. I appreciated her apology, but it wasn’t necessary. The salad was great, and my husband said the quesadilla was one of the best he’s ever had. There was a ton of meat in it and it was nice and tender. This coupled with the great service earns Brewco five stars. It was a little pricey, but so are most of the rest of the restaurants in the area. We would definitely return.

BrewCo is an anomaly. it has a great view and the menu seems like it covers all the bases, but somehow the flavors don’t match the view. But, in all fairness… the view is special from the front tables. And the people watching and the cocktails/beer makes you forget the«just Ok» food. We came here for lunch yesterday and had a couple of salads with some garlic bread. The Honey lime and the barbecued chicken to be specific. Both OK, the barbecued chicken felt bland but the honey lime was good. The bread was a pass and dried out. Have I mentioned the view? That rocked all the way from sit down to leave. We also have had the steak(which used to be $ 19.99 and a steal. Now, its $ 23.00 and still the best thing on the menu. Service is great, attentive without being over the top. Parking is MB tough. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the brew part of BrewCo. I’m not a beer guy, but it looks like a killer selection. They know what is up in that department. So, recco is come for the view and stay and drink then eat. Nothing wrong with that plan! Solid spot.

I’m torn about my review for Brewco because the food and beer selection is so great, but the prices make my stomach hurt. I was shocked to find that my Red Trolley Ale was $ 8 when I got my check. I don’t think I’ve ever paid that much for a Karl Strauss beer in my life. I only ordered a beer and fish tacos and my tab with tip was over $ 30. Very pricey. I ordered the fish tacos on the recommendation of the bartender and they didn’t disappoint. I would be afraid to see what they charge for their specialty beers like the barrel aged FW beers they had during my visit.

My girl and I were being tourists so as we walked by we went in. David was behind the bar and let me sample a few beers on tap that Idid not know and helped me choose a few good ones. Great vibe in here as we were able to chat with locals and out of towners alike. We did not eat but menu is creative and alive. Will see you again.

For starters, BrewCo has a nice beer selection. Maybe could be $ 1 cheaper, but otherwise reasonable. During dinner time, they do enforce a policy on the high tops and tables that requires at least each person to order a starter/entrée. We came in with hopes of possibly splitting something to allow room for an Ercoles burger. However, suffice to say, that was not an option if we wanted to watch the sunset as well(or sit for that matter given the full bar). The street-facing portion of the restaurant is open which is nice and allows for a view of the Manhattan Beach sunset. They also have ample TV’s, which featured the football game and a good vantage point from most seats. For food, I went with the Cajun Quesadilla, which had a nice kick and was surprisingly good. The cheese was melted perfectly, the ingredients well proportioned and it came with a nice crispiness to keep it together well. My girlfriend opted for the Spinach and Artichoke Dip, which she devoured with some assistance from me. Another tasty dish. I wouldn’t say the prices were cheap, but they were reasonable. Fairly standard for brewery style fare. Would have no problem coming back for food or stopping in for beers.

Sit by the outside to people watch, get a great beer and some pretty good grub, I adore the fish tacos. HALIBUT. Even better than Simmy’s(white cod I think) The guac is REALLY great with their house-made chips. Their salads are HUGE — even the lunch size. We split the B E A C H C L U B salad– Mixed greens with southern-style fried chicken pieces, bacon, avocado, tomatoes, croutons and blue cheese crumbles tossed in ranch dressing. This is a meal, people. Trust me. On Sunday I like to grab a spot at the bar and pretend to care about whatever game is on and order a bloody Mary. I got a tip from one of the servers –I get a quarter of their mix and have them add the rest in tomato juice because I’m not a huge fan of chunky horse radish in it. Solid food Great beers Excellent service Open to outside Comfortable w/cool atmosphere

If there is a missing link between typical beach pubs and newer gastropubs, this is it. Because the food is still the typical inexpensive pub grub featured at so many(but fewer and fewer) places these days. You know: non-updated burgers, potato skins, nothing special but perfectly absorbent pizza, and fried this, that and the other thing(actually, we did have a pretty good salad). But the craft beer selection is excellent, and their drinks are«crafty» enough that metro-types and that fine lady you lucked into escorting can still get a decent cocktail. While it could be argued that the menu needs some work(fewer items, more quality and creativity), the interior layout is very good for watching a game. The garage-style roll-up doors open to the street to let in all that juicy Manhattan Beach air(gratis!). And there are flat panels everywhere, so no matter where you sit, you can watch your favs teams and playoff games(Go Kings!). I would say the interior needs updating, but it appears that it HAS been updated – just not in a trendiest designer style. Not necessarily a bad thing when you stumble up from the beach wearing biker shorts or a wet swim suit and flip flops.

BrewCo has a pretty decent selection of draft and bottled beers. At one point, they had a banana bread flavored beer that was fantastic; but I’ve only seen it there once. I had a bottle of Acai flavored beer, which was decent; but the bottle was so big that I couldn’t drink it all. The food was pretty good too. I ordered a cheese burger and my friend ordered a chicken salad. The burger was pretty good and my friend really seemed to enjoy his salad. I’ll definitely be coming back for the beer selection and comfortable atmosphere.
