Last year was my first time to participate in this walkathon and it was a lot of fun for everyone. You start at Manhattan Beach Pier, walk to Hermosa Pier and then return to Manhattan Beach Pier which is 3.4 miles total. It is non-​competitive and it is a fund raiser for the Richstone Family Center which is a program in Hawthorne that helps prevent and treat child abuse, strengthen families, and prevent violence in families, schools and communities.
This year the walkathon is on Saturday April 28th at 7:30am. After the walk there are live bands, entertainment, awards, and food.
Maybe we can get a Unilocal team together.
I am walking on my company team but I can raise money for both and be a part of both teams and I can walk with the Unilocalers.
FYI… teams do not necessarily walk together because different people have different paces.
