CVS

Terrible Minute clinic. Up to 4 hour wait. Also, lady that works there although friendly doesn’t really tell you much. Great when you do a TB test and she doesn’t tell you that you have to come back within 72 hours, otherwise you have to re-​do it. Even better when you go there a week later and it’s a 4 hour wait, just to be told that.

They just can’t get my prescription right. Four months in a row I have had to deal with the exact same issue.
This month I called in my refill and then talked to the pharmacist to be sure it was handled correctly. It wasn’t. I’m moving my business to Walgreens.

At first, before these new Federal, State, and corporate [CVS] policies changed, aside from long lines this was a great team of pharmacists to work with.
HOWEVER
I have suffered chronic back pain, anxiety and depression for over 3 – 5 years. They have a long lasting record of my medications. These new rule changes now effectively say «If you have a class two medication, we will only refil it 2 days before 1 month after it was filled.»
IF THEY HAVE NO STOCK, A CLASS 2 ORDER CAN TAKE UP TO 5 DAYS!!!
Thanks for the policy changes. Now I run out of my medicine, and can’t get it while I wait in agony for days, for your STUPID policies. My entire family is moving our prescriptions elsewhere. After being mislead with several different refil dates, and admittedly, their app AND online system not working or showing proper dates — I was recommended not to use it. WELL WHY DONT YOU TAKE IT DOWN UNTIL IT WORKS???
So I went to the website, after learning the app they made doesn’t work, to find out the website is equally as useless! And not only that, but today I got ANOTHER new day it’s supposed to be «eligible to refill». That’s the 6^th different date I’ve gotten from 4 people, the app and the website!
This is insane! They call themselves the last line of defense against prescription medication abuse — how about call my doctor or look at your records!!! Is it not clear I have a permanent, chronic condition that will require surgery or pain management for the rest of my life?
THANKS FOR THE SUFFERING, CVS. Won’t be seeing you soon!

I get all my prescription’s filled at this CVS, it’s clean and full of fun aisles to browse when you have to wait for a prescription. I love the fact that it’s open 24 hours, and during normal hours I can make it a 2 for 1 trip with Ralphs next door :)
… There is also a Mall, a few Banks, and some very nice Restaurants in the area, so all around great location.
Oh forgot to mention the greeting from the employees when you walk in is always welcome…

Today, I visited the CVS at 8985 Venice Blvd in LA (near Culver City /​Palms district) and they had 90% off Christmas items on Monday 12÷30÷14, but the same day, this CVS had only 50% off, but a much bigger selection.
50% off isn’t too appealing for buying stuff you don’t need, but 90% off entices you to buy stuff you really don’t need or don’t want, but it’s hard to pass up pennies on the dollar priced bargains, especially candies and sweet food items on clearance closeout.

Good:
— The location. Right in the middle of a big shopping strip.
— open 24 hours.
— many pharmacists on-​site.
— courteous staff.
— clean and well organized.
— this location has one of those CVS minute clinics

Is it just me but do all the CVS’ look and feel the same. One in Manhattan Beach looks and feels like one in Los Altos or Santa Clara or Fresno. It’s eery. The level of people are also kinda strangely similar. Got some iced tea, water and some toiletries on the recent socal trip. The self check out here is a a great add, as you dont have to deal with the normal drudge of regular checkout

If I could give zero stars I would. This is 2014 CVS… Price match your website! I found out you will not price match after I got a few things. If you want me to buy something on the web I will and I will buy it elsewhere cheaper. Instead you will not price match in the store and I will now take my business next door to Ralphs or 1 block away to Walgreens. What a terrible business model.

The woman who is the manager (i assume) of the pharmacy is one of the rudest people i have ever encountered. I didnt even have the privileged of speaking to her but i was standing in line for good while and the way she spoke to people on the phone (at least 3 as i was standing there) was hands down the most jaw dropping conversations i have ever heard someone in public say to another person. Everyone in line was floored. The other pharmacist technicians looked at us apologizing with their eyes but you knoooow they werent about to speak up against her. She has no business speaking to other people the way she does. Someone in upper management needs to address that quick.

Rude and staff is short with me on the phone. They definitely do not go out of their way to be pleasant. I dread having to go to this pharmacy. Though luckily I don’t have to anymore because of mail order prescriptions. I will go out of my to go to any other pharmacy in the future because the staff here makes my blood boil.

This store is the best of all the CVS. Neat and clean, everything is well arrange and the customer service is exceptional. Just one man speaks for the whole store on what kind of people are working in there. «Alfred» or «Alfredo» was really a nice guy. Very accomodating, polite and respectful. He help me find some of the things that i am looking for and even asked me if i needed more help. He’s a really nice kid with a cheerful attitude. He is an asset to this company. Keep up the good work CVS manhattan.

Last night (12-​05-​2013) I happened to be visiting the Manhattan Beach mall when I decided to pay this CVS a visit. After leaving the mall I simply walked across the parking lot to this CVS. This CVS shares its parking lot with the Manhattan Beach mall, Ralph’s, Coffee bean & several other restaurants so it is great for a ‘one stop’ shop.
The parking lot that contains all of these businesses is quite a mess, so when planning your visit here make sure your visit is either early morning, right after lunch or late evening and you will not have a problem. Now that it is currently the Xmas 2013 season getting in and out of this parking lot can be quite taxing no matter the time of day.
Upon walking in the CVS you immediately notice how L-​A-​R-​G-​E this location is. This CVS was without question a supermarket at some point because I have never observed a CVS this big before. This CVS offers a food, alcohol, Pharmacy center, photo center, lottery kiosk, red box & always has a large selection of seasonal items on display.
CVS is currently having a promotion deal where if you purchase $ 20 of CVS related products, you receive a $ 10 coupon for further purchases at CVS. Well the brand of lotion I use is a CVS related brand. The only catch is you are limited to one $ 10 coupon per household unless you sign up for a card every time you visit, which I may or may not have been doing. If you were to sign up for a card every visit you would be able to purchase you favorite CVS related products at almost a 50% discount. The brand of lotion I use costs a little over $ 5 but when you take into account the $ 10 of CVS credit /​money you are receiving back you are basically paying $ 2.25 for the same product. In my opinion buying in bulk simply pays off especially when you have no plans and/​or desires to switch from one product to another. I buy when items are ‘on sale’ and when they aren’t I don’t but when that item in ‘on sale’ I hit them real hard and get the most ‘bang’ for my buck.
No matter how long the lines are at this location they always move quickly. There are plenty of open & manned cash registers to ensure you get in and out quickly. I have been visiting this CVS for years now and never once waited in line longer than 1 – 3 minutes no matter the time of year.
I really dig this CVS and their ban on plastic bags. I was pleasantly surprised to see that this CVS like ‘all’ of the businesses in Manhattan Beach provide only paper bags.
If and when I am in the area I give my business to businesses that support a cleaner beach & Ocean like this CVS does.

I came here with my friend Mariela D, with the intention of only buying sunscreen and some nail polish remover, when we saw the Booze Gift Sets.
Tis the season for saving, so we bought a Finlandia Vodka Set that came with three bonus flavored bottles for only $ 8.99. We also purchased lots of different mixers to go along with those. Woooohoooo, poolside partying!
We know a good deal when we see it.

I Love this CVS! Pharmacy wise, they are on their A game. We have had complications with insurance etc. and they have always figured it out. My husband and I fill our prescriptions here and the pharmacist always go out of their way to say hello to us. The pharmacist are super friendly and personal even with their crazy stack of prescriptions to fill. Pharmacist Annie always makes it a point to say hello to us even when she is not the one helping us. She is always so happy, positive and is working her butt off! The pharmacy assistants are also super friendly and personable as well! I believe in a company earning ones business and they definitely have gone above and beyond for us. Thank you CVS for taking care of us =)

***This is a decent CVS that sits right next to Ralphs; they have a lot of Christmas stuff right now (gifts, stocking stuffers, wrapping paper, decorations, snacks, candy, etc.)***
This CVS location is in the Manhattan Village Shopping Center, which has its own free parking lot; it is easy finding an open space in this part of the shopping center.

I love this CVS. I get all my perscriptions filled here and come here often for greeting cards, candy, magazines, beauty products and beer. The pharmacy can get crowded on weekends or right after everyone gets off work around 5 or 6pm, but that’s to be expected at all pharmacies. Most of the workers are nice and it seems like it’s alwasy the same people working. Familiarity is something I never take for granted.
The prices here can be steep compared to Target but if something is on sale, grab it! CVS has better sales than Target. Beer is usually a good buy here if you don’t mind the lack of choices.
I love this location because it’s right near Coffee Bean, Ralphs and the mall. The parking lot is large and never completely full. I regularly find spots right up front. They also have a great section of «as seen on tv» junk. I just got the super awesome genie bra and I love it. lol :)

I hate taking medication. I’m too paranoid about side effects and that it only covers the symptoms instead of curing it. And lastly I’m too lazy and disorganized to take daily doses of medicine for any length of time. Hence, I dread going to pharmacies.
Lately, circumstantial events had led me to my doctor who in turn, led me to CVS to pick up prescription meds (temporarily of course). I equate going to any pharmacy with going to the hospital. I shudder with fear just thinking about it.
My first visit to CVS was surprisingly pleasant. Of course it took me about 20 mins to reach to the end of the store where the pharmacy is located. I had to do a little warm up browsing through the beauty section… you know… easing it in. The pharmacists were super nice, attentive and actually very hospitable. They walked me through the chargeback process of my medical insurance and explained the details of the medication. Wow. I was really impressed. It was actually painless and very clear. It didn’t feel like a hospital. I saw normal people… healthy people, picking up meds just like me.
I’ve been to other pharmacies in the past… and it wasn’t always this pleasant or convenient. There were always problems, long lines, or crazy people making a scene. I’m a pretty simple person. I don’t like drama or when things get complicated. I just want to get my meds and get the hell outta there. This CVS at this location… provides exactly that. Fast, easy and friendly.

The pharmacy is crowded and unorganized — check out the picture I posted. Try the CVS around the corner at 1570 Rosecrans — the one adjacent to Bristol Farms.
They did not check to see if they had my meds in stock before they had me wait for an hour, just to tell me that they were sorry.
At least they are honest. They are sorry.

Slightly random but I just have many nice things to write about what I consider to be a very special CVS store.
— Easy parking, as it’s located in the Bristol Farms shopping center.
— I’ve filled prescriptions here 4 times and have always been out of there under 15 minutes, no matter what time I go in or how long the line.
–Today my pharmacist quickly discovered a way to cut my prescription price in half. This discovery took her an extra 30 seconds and I really appreciated how conscientious she was.
— The store is nicely laid out and well-​stocked, particularly in the areas of beauty and office supplies (My two drug-​store essentials.)
