3 weeks ago my wife was shopping at Benefit makeup counter when she experienced the worst customer service by an associate name Vivianna. I called the store myself and spoke to Chris who stated he was a manager and would have an conversation with the associate to make sure this type of behavior would be corrected. To my surprise while my wife was shopping at the Benefit counter again this past week the associate was still there. I’m not sure what type of customer service training was giving to this associate because she was the worst being the the makeup counter you’ll think this person was have some sort of personality. Her lack of attention and attitude was horrendous. When my wife was asking questions she replied back with a condescending remark and walked as if she had more important thing to take care of. We’ve have been to many different department stores and have never been treated so badly. If my wife was treated this way how many other customers have been treated the same way? Needless to our busy was taken to Sephora which is only a few stores down. When I’ve tried to contact the Store Manager Tracy she is never available shows how much customer feedback really is at this store.

My favorite Macy’s to shop at in the South Bay! Great selection of women’s clothing on the first floor as well as dresses on the second floor. Located in Manhattan Village shopping mall so has a more upscale feel and styles tailored to working women. Came here once to look for a swimsuit and they have a really cool and modern way of shopping for swimsuits that’s hassle free. They basically have manikins with swimsuits on them and a salesperson with an iPad will help you «order» swimsuits to try. They then bring the swimsuits you selected to your dressing room and there’s a cubby hole where you put unwanted swimsuits which they will quickly take away. You can even order more swimsuits to try from a touchscreen in your dressing room and the salesperson will put it in your cubby hole so you can try it. Definitely made shopping a lot more fun and took customer service up a notch!

This review is specifically based upon my experience with the lovely Joanne (and Stephanie!) who work at the Chanel cosmetics counter. I came to the Chanel counter today hoping to find a lovely Christmas gift for my boyfriend’s mom, and Joanne’s extensive knowledge of Chanel’s skin care products led me to select the perfect gift that I am confident anyone would love! Joanne also helped me select a new foundation to achieve that natural dewy flawless skin look that Chanel is known for. First time buying Chanel foundation and I am already SO in love– never going back to my former brand. It makes sense that Joanne would be able to steer me in the right direction for a foundation that helps hydrate my ultra dry skin– she has been representing Chanel for 7 years! I picked up some amazing products here today and I had a blast talking with Joanne and Stephanie, they were so sweet and fun I was giddy and blushing the whole time! Stephanie also did beautiful holiday gift wrapping with the most darling Chanel gift wrap. World class service, but of course I’d expect nothing less of Chanel.

Wow… I remember when this was the classiest place to shop at the MB mall. It is clearly going the way of Sears and JC Penny. Sorry to witness your decline Macy’s.

Found great deals in the PLUS size section, really great deals and not even on a sale day.

Came on my weekend to do a little shopping with my grandmother and I had never been here before. First I loved how every Macy’s was separate and I could get right to the woman’s without getting lost. Loved all the designers they had on display this season and the shoes were all to die for. The staff was phenomenal. Any question or request we had they were right there to support us and help us to find anything we were looking for. Amazing We love this macys.

Nice and clean store, staff upbeat and friendly. I was greeted at the door as they were opening. When ringing up my purchases the cashier was so nice she took time to find current coupons to apply to my puchases. She saved me $ 30. Thank you :)

This based on two consecutive days’ visit. One star for selection, one for the one attendant that was going around trying to help different departments. First day, understaffed, no acknowledgement. Second day, nobody at the register, go to another, am turned away as it has been determined that it would be a while however am directed back to the original desk where the manager is now helping someone. Again, zero acknowledgment. Zero. A manager in Manhattan Beach. The helpful employee who seems to be a floater helping out where she can finally helps me, answers my question and then goes to help out in another department. «Manager» walks away never apologized for the wait. Lesson learned. Don’t shop here unless you have all the time in the world and aren’t bothered by atrocious customer service.

I really like this Macy’s, customer service has always been top notch. Found a dress I really liked here, and when I looked it up online it was significantly cheaper. The cashier was very receptive and appreciative of my need to save a buck, and gave me discounted price with no hassles, yes please!!! The girls at the MAC counter are bright, cheery, sweet, and very helpful of all your needs. The dressing room is huge and their is a nice size waiting area right outside of it.

Went in today to buy a specific band of perfume. Walked inside straight to the Gucci counter. Sampled and sniffed a few and some other brands surrounding the one I intended on getting. I probably spent 10 minutes or so, with no one around. I waited and waited, and still no one! Finally, I looked around the other counters for some help. Finally, from the time I stepped in to the time I was ready, It was almost 20 minutes.
The woman who helped me, was nice but didn’t know too much on the perfumes. Still, I bought one. She just handed over the perfume but I asked for a bag. So she put it in a bag and that’s all I got.
I’ve been buying perfumes from Macy’s for over 20 years. This is the first time I didn’t receive anything extra. Most often there’s a free gift with purchase. If no gift or promotion is available, then the sales associate will give a few free samples of other scents.
Such a real bummer. I kind of thought Macy’s in Manhattan Beach would have been different. I should’ve just stuck to the Macy’s in Torrance. They’re always a pleasure. I never need to ask for my purchases to be put in a bag, and without asking, I always get a sample. I don’t care if I only get one little sample. A sample is a sample, and it’s always nice to get a little something extra.
Very disappointed!

The sales associate Laurie from the home department was very helpful to my boyfriend and I last weekend! We were searching for a new bed set. Laurie was very knowledgable. She answered all of our questions and even gave us some tips. Thank you Laurie! Well done!

This Macy’s is smaller than most and the men’s and women’s sections are on opposite sides of the mall, but parking is great, selections for what I like is great and they always have great items on the clearance rack.
Wen to buy some Calvin Klein pants and from parking to pulling out, it took less than 15 minutes.

Will they ever fix that escalator? Always broken when I go there. Looks like senior citizens and children are going to fall going down. Elevator broken as well. If you’re in a wheel
Chair or have bad balance 2^nd floor shopping is not an option.

Macy’s has really upped the customer service game and the sales are incredible! I was surprised at the quality and variety just in the handbag section. Everytime I just head in to browse outside of sale days I come away with a great find at a super price. Enjoy shopping here more than ever because of their surprise pricing at the register
Make sure you use the coupons, ask for a discount, and that Macy’s card will also snag you another reduction. The helpfulness of cashiers to the floor managers rival none. I have shopped at higher end stores and I feel very welcome here even though I dress in workout attire. Thanks to management for making this place a destination for pleasurable value purchases.

I like Macy’s because there seems to always be a sale! Unfortunately, shopping here makes me want to go into a cleaning frenzy! In particular, the shoe department is a massive wreck. I literally want to start cleaning up the never ending mess all over the floor and the piles of shoes on the displays. Meanwhile, the sales associates walk around like the living dead (and not the fast ones). I will still shop here because it’s close to me and they will have a sale anytime I go there. But if you have a bit of OCD, or just like to experience a clean store and good customer service, spare yourself.

I just want to say that a Manger by the name of Toni (female) has been very very helpful and grateful for helping me with a refund issue that should have been done correctly yesterday when I was here. She’s very pleasant, patient, and very helpful on rectifying this situation. Also, a lady by the name of Joan who works in the men’s department was also very helpful as well .

Understaffed but they are helpful. Selection is OK for really small people or really big people. The shoe department is not friendly.

This Macy’s is the anchor store for the Manhattan Village mall. This location was formerly separate May Co. and a Robinson’s department stores. The former May Co. is located on the north end of the mall and is now the women’s department and the former Robinson’s, located on the south end of the mall is now the home furnishings and men’s department. The stores are well stocked and the service is good.

The Ralph Lauren section for mens is outstanding they have a great selection and lots of clearance items that I can’t find at most other Macy’s locations. The other good thing is that they always have my size in stock and they have a phenomenal mens shoe department. Doing some Christmas shopping and maybe some shopping for myself thanks Macys team.

Got lucky! Eileen Fisher sale item… yes! The young salesperson was very nice and helpful… I love it when I get a bargain!
