Madame Tomate

I ordered delivery through Unilocal Eat 24 this morning, the sandwiches and salad were delivered in a timely matter and with the best presentation! The girl who delivered was super cool too. I will definitely keep this spot in mind next time I need a catering sized sandwich order… Oh and did I mention the food was AMAZING??? Because it was. :)

. Once I saw the pictures and read the menu, I knew all the associates would love it. Needles to say, we have ordered from this place 3 days in a row. This place is a must, exquisite European style sandwiches and they offer macaroons for dessert!!!

Good sandwiches but if you’re ordering delivery expect a good hour wait or more. I’m currently waiting on an order of 2 sandwiches and it’s right now been 2 hours since I placed the order.
1 hour per sandwich?
Sigh.
Arrived with an extra 10 $ delivery charge too, how nice.
Revising my review because shortly after reviewing the owner contacted me and offered a meal on them due to the inconvenience of a new delivery service. Much appreciated and happy to see good recovery customer service.

My coworkers and I ordered from Madame Tomate via Eat24. 45 minutes later we got a message from Eat24 saying that the restaurant had not responded (maybe that part is eat24’s fault for waiting so long) but then when we called the restaurant NO ONE answered. We all called several times and there was never an answer. Eat24 refunded our money and we went somewhere else about 2 hours later. It was a terrible experience, especially since we had a short amount of time to eat and we didn’t even get to have lunch until 3:30/4pm. Do not even try to go here.

BOO! We ordered online for a group and 45 minutes after placing the order we get word that their delivery drivers can’t drop off to a location 3 minutes away. We tried calling them to see if we could pick up and no one picked up the phone. Left messages but still have not gotten a return call. Very disappointing since it took a group of us at the office a while to order.

Best lunch in the south bay. The sandwiches are amazing (Try the Vegetarien one) and the salads are to die for. Super healthy, fresh and just delicious.

I stopped by Boba Loca for a couple drinks, and saw the Madame Tomate sandwiches. On a whim, I ordered the Prairie (turkey, cheese, green blend, and fig jam on cranberry walnut bread) and it was great! Yes, the bread was on the harder side as other reviews mention, but because the sandwich was so tasty I didn’t mind it as much as I normally would have.
I highly recommend this sandwich if you’re looking for something delicious, fresh and unique. I will definitely try other menu options in the future.

The office I work at orders from Madame Tomate frequently and we always have a great experience. You can place an order the same day, which is great for last minute meetings. Everything from the bread to the presentation is exquisite. The ingredients are always fresh and the sandwiches are simple but delicious, the way a sandwich should be. They also have great, friendly service!

My office orders from this place as often as possible for lunch. Their salads and sandwiches are so delicious, and I am very picky! The ingredients are fresh and light, the combinations are creative and they make the best macarons I have ever tasted. The ‘Lunch Boxes’ are the best. The come in a cute bag with half a sandwich (on the small side), a salad (on the large side) and two macarons. Must haves are the Fermier Sandwich, Du Marche Salad and My Little Basket (amazing dipping sauce). I wish they had a sit down café instead of just delivery, I would be there once a week!

Madame Tomate catered my wedding last week. We had a total of about 30 guests and absolutely unanimously everyone just raved about the food. The presentation was outstanding, the quality and taste just fantastic. They worked with me to stay within my constrained budget and I can say we got more than we bargained for! Plenty of food, made the event feel ‘opulent’ and the best is that we had the yummiest left-over’s the next day! Highly recommend and will use them again for whatever my next party will be!

We ordered :
–Californien Sandwich: Homemade guacamole, sun-​dried tomatoes, bacon, Parmigiano-​Reggiano on french baguette.
–Brie Sandwich: Brie cheese, sun-​dried tomato pesto, mixed greens on Kalamata olive bread.
We split them so I got to try both. These are $ 9 each and in my opinion, pretty small for the price. The whole experience feels gourmet, fresh, and it was good. It just didn’t leave me feeling too impressed.
I will say, we got them to-​go and the packaging was very cute, clean and convenient (what can I say, I’m a graphic designer).

Ordered 4 macarons, no chocolate flavors. 1 Boba tea with no milk, 1 ham and cheese croissant, and 1 egg muffin sandwich.
Very good food. Very quick service. Will be ordering from here again tomorrow, hopefully I can get a green macaron tomorrow with my order! Thanks for such great food and service.

If I had to review Madame Tomate in three words, I’d use «expensive,» «salty,» and «meh.»
Their sandwich bread is too hard and cuts up the roof of your mouth like it was a pair of Fiskers. The insides are tasty and delicious (I’ve had every variety), but the pesto is straight up too salty.
Their salad with kidney beans, parmesan, and prosciutto is too salty. Their pesto dressing is too salty. All this for a gourmet price tag. After eating their catering, I can’t help but feeling… salty. Womp.

I just ordered a catering order of sandwiches, macaroons and croissants. Everything was packaged so cute with names and dates on the little bags. The French bread is crispy but soft and the ingredients are really high quality.
I will Definitely order again!

I’ve only had the sandwiches here so I can’t speak about the rest of the menu. For reference, Madame Tomate is in Boba Loca off of Aviation.
We have Madame Tomate for our catered breakfast/​lunches all the time and it’s damn good. The Italien (prosciutto, mozzarella and pesto) is to die for. If I was a piggy, I would try to shove two in my mouth. The bread is fantastically crunchy but not too harsh. The fruit that comes with our breakfast is fresh, none of that goopy mess you get at the supermarket or cheapo places. The macarons are very good as well.
The owners obviously have a great pride in the quality of ingredients they use. Every now and then I’ll stop in after the gym to pick up some sandwiches and never have I been disappointed. I’m a fan!

My poor roommate went out to pick up the food we ordered online here. He was circling for quite a bit until he realized that Madame Tomate is actually located inside of the local boba shop. They had a little a-​frame sign with chalk writing on one side that said Madame Tomate outside — and that side was facing away from the direction cars are coming on the closer side of the street. Overall not the cleverest placement.
Onto the food — the sandwiches were actually good — as people say, the ingredients are fresh and tasty. They aren’t particularly big however, and they aren’t the very best sandwiches of the sort I’ve had. But they are definitely worth eating.
I also order the duck confit salad. It was almost completely mixed greens with a few shards of smoked duck (they almost looks like duck cold-​cut bacon strips) on top, as well as a decent helping of cheese and some croutons. I wasn’t impressed with the duck, as it didn’t deliver the fatty/​juicy duck experience I love. The salad seemed unbalanced in the direction of the mixed greens, so overall it was just lacking in flavor and substance.
Will I eat there again? Probably, since it’s so close to my place and I still like the sandwiches. Is it a go to place for me? Probably not.

Fantastique!- Was referred by a friend and had sandwiches and salads delivered to my outdoor party. The chef/​owner was more than happy to accommodate any changes to the menu that I desired (all within reason, of course) and sliced the baguette sandwiches to smaller-​portioned servings. I was thrilled with the fresh ingredients they use, and my guests were impressed!
I will be calling again soon!

This could possibly be the best sandwich in Los Angeles. I had Patricks sandwiches at my nephews brithday party and the food was to die for! I will have Madame Tomate cater all my lunches from now on. If you are in the area I suggest you stop by here and get one of Patricks sandwiches. You will not be sorry.

J’adore Madame Tomate! We had Patrick cater a company function for us and everything was great. There were about 70 of us and everyone was super pleased with the food and the price was great. The service was great as well. I am totally hooked on the Italien sandwich and all of his salads. I now go to his shop a couple times a week for these items. Whether you’re looking for great catering or just stopping by for a great sandwich, Madame Tomate is the place!
