I was given false information regarding price and availability of an item and encouraged to open a credit card for further savings. Turns out the item cost more and was not even available which was only relayed to me after the credit card was opened. Huge waste of time and wrong on many levels.

Visited the Manhattan Beach location and Emily helped me. What a pleasure she was assisting me every step of the way. I will return to this location. Plenty of parking. I had to re-​visit the store a few days later, and the customer service was excellent that day as well. Thank you to the Staff.

While the people who worked here appeared friendly, they also ignored me for over 5 minutes while I was hovering to ask a quick question. I understand when you’re with a guest but a quick glance and an «I’ll be right with you» goes a long way. Also, the place was a mess. They had too much inventory and you had to bob and weave just to get to the back of the store (which is where the registers and workers are). I don’t think i’ll come back to this location again.

I love the way that you can smell this store before you even go in! It’s a beautiful store with some really nice people. We have even had them tell us to bring back our receipt in a few days to receive refunds on future mark downs. Knowing that they care that much about their shoppers keeps me coming back!

Looooove this store! The staff is super helpful. Most go out of their way to give you some great ideas. Katrina is my favorite! Super sweet girl. I come back to this store because of her.
Store is clean and there is plenty of parking since its in a small shopping center.

I have been shopping at this particular store for 20 years and could navigate it blindfolded. Today, the person helping me named Donna was rude and condescending. I had purchased about $ 300 worth of merchandise. Once in line she made us go around stating, «see the sign that says line starts here?» So by the time we had finished finished playing, duck duck goose with the registers we had finally landed at the third one. Other employees were trying to help her since we had gone over thirty minutes of her scanning our items. She was quick to dismiss them even rude to her fellow employees. During this time another customer asked her a question and she stated, «can’t you see I’m busy.» To top it off she then started to scan my wrapping paper laughing and quote, «this is so ugly it looks like my grandmothers old couch from the seventies.» Well that made everyone stop to see my hideous Xmas paper. There is so much more that this woman said to us which started on the floor before the register. I have been a good girl this Xmas season and did not deserve this large piece of coal named Donna. So, I will now look for a new store to take my money.

Customer service here is beyond awesome. We were looking for three bar stools for our new patio. They only had two left in the store and they were a little dinged up, but the associate let us take them home while we waited for the new ones we ordered to come in.
When we came back to return the two stools we borrowed and pick up our new ones, the manager greeted us by name and grabbed us our new stools immediately. No problems at all & everyone was so friendly.
Truly refreshing, excellent service– kudos to this store.

My boyfriend and I went there today (3÷7÷13) looking for a table and picture frames and as soon as we walked in, there were no employees to greet us considering the place was really slow and only had one customer. All the employees were busy talking, standing around and one lady was there by the front door fixing merchandise and didn’t even bother to say hi. It was by far the worst experience I’ve had at this place. I walked out of there not wanting to buy anything bec the customer service sucks !

We came here to purchase the wood base for our dining room table, but after looking around the store at the great selection and different styles available, we purchased the dining room chairs and all the dining room table accessories, as well.
The dining room table we liked came with a round glass top with a modern dark wood base. We liked the base and was glad to see that we can purchase the glass table top separately. We ended up getting a rectangular glass custom made from a glass make.
As for our dining room chairs, we saw one chair that had just came in and really liked it. Since it was new to their store and their inventory, our sales person, Shanyn, was extremely helpful in locating and ordering the 3 other chairs we needed.
We also worked with the coordinating place mats, napkins, and napkin rings — even a glass tray centerpiece for the new table. It was a very efficient shopping trip, plus we had fun with Shanyn putting it all together.
In the end, we got what we wanted and it was all in our budget. I’ve always looked to Marshall and Ross for home goods items, so I’m beyond excited to find the items we needed in the price we wanted to pay here at Pier 1.

I went here looking for random kitchen items (a major weakness of mine), but realized that it was all for naught. Specifically, I was looking for a pretty carafe so that I could make a nice sangria to go with a special dinner I’m planning to cook. Alas, what do you do when you find out your guest isn’t really a wine drinker? You buy the carafe anyway! Come on, the chef should be allowed to have a drink if they’re doing all the work.
Tons of home and kitchen accessories all around, the store has everything that I could imagine decorating my kitchen, dining, and living spaces with AND THEN SOME. Almost to the point of overkill, but they’ve got to have something for everyone, right?
Parking’s easy, the store was really quiet, and the staff was helpful. Be careful though, it’s really easy to spend too much!

I came here to look for things for my son’s new place. One of the ladies that worked there was very helpful… I can’t remember her name but she is really friendly.
This store has everything from furniture, to drapes, table clothes, dishes, stemware, pillow and a whole lot more.
I always forget about this store and apparently I am not the only one because I am the first to review it.
It is in the same parking lot as REI, Old Navy, Barnes & Noble and TJ’s on Rosecrans.
