Waited over 15 minutes for a pulled pork sandwich… bun was soggy when I finally got it. Way overpriced!

Tried the pork buns from their pop up at Madison Square Eats.( ) It was $ 5 for two pork buns, but I wouldve only paid dollar for both of em. The meat was BLAND and the bun was dry. DISAPPOINTED. I had heard so much about the whole fatty crew but was let down. I hope the rest of the restaurants are better! I currently have a reservation at fatty crab, so hopefully that join can save the fatty name!

tried the pork buns from their POP-UP shop at the Madison Square Eats event MEDIOCRE. $ 5 for 2 pork buns. the meat just wasn’t flavorful & i would have preferred a sweeter steamed bun. the entire«snack» was pretty bland i’d definitely go to Baohaus or Ippudo for pork buns over this joint! HOPETHISISNT A REFLECTIONOFFATTYCREW’S OTHERRESTAURANTS: fatty ‘cue & fatty crab

I tried their version of the Pork Bun at their Madison Square Eats stand. It was basically pulled pork in an awesome bun, i really enjoyed it. They were a little pricey, i think $ 6 for 2, but worth the splurge.

Went to Fatty Snack at Mad.Sq.Eats. and this blew my mind! Veg-o steamed buns made with mushrooms! One of the most well seasoned and tasty things I had at MadSqEats. I went back the next day and they were closed, but open again the day after cuz I wanted MORE and I wanted to share it with my friends. Those veg buns are amazeballs if u ask me. :)

The Pulled Pork Sandwich and the Johnson Burger at the Fatty ‘Cue Kiosk is worth a visit. The pulled pork itself is excellent, tender and juicy without the BBQ sauce being too overwhelming. The burger was juicy and nearly melt in your mouth. However, I am not a fan of their choice of the bread at all. Untoasted and starchy, the bun is the same ones that are served across public schools and prisons. The bread is undeserving of the pulled pork or the burger and the fact that the Fatty ‘Cue folks decided to serve these buns leads me to think that they don’t care. At $ 9 for the pulled pork and $ 12 for the burger by themselves, lunch at the kiosk is not cheap. Despite all this, I still recommend you give it a try because the proteins are that damn tasty. The pulled pork sandwich was delicious. While $ 9 is definitely expensive for just one sandwich, I can say that this was the best pulled pork sandwich I have ever had. The meat is fatty and juicy, with a hint of spiciness. The slaw does a good job of complementing the richness of the pork. And the bun soaks up all the fat and sauce, making for a delicious final bite. The sandwich is filling, but not so filling that you aren’t left contemplating buying another one and spending $ 18 on lunch. I’ve gone twice and resisted that urge, but I don’t know if I’ll be able to hold out next time.

I wondered why the line wasn’t as long, i knew the prices were steep, but i had the trust in the Fatty Crab name to try this place for lunch. When i was served this little roll with a few pieces of pulled pork, i said to myself, «where am i going to get additional food?” My co-worker, who also happens to be a pretty tall dude ate this sandwich in one bite… I don’t know if it’s worth the price to wait online to try this place, at least not until they consider bulking up on the portion. When Shake Shack opens, that money will definately secure me a nice belly bomb on my lunch break. How i can’t wait…

I was so looking forward to this. I got the Fatty Dog to go and it was a complete mess when I got back to my desk. The bun was drenched and I absolutely could not bite through the sausage casing. Had to use a knife/fork and it was okay after that. I decided to throw in an extra star for the good potato salad.

I thought it’d be pretty hard to screw up a lunch stand, but I was not a fan of this place. I tried the fatty dog($ 7), which was very tasty, but the carrots could have used more flavor — they didn’t like anything, even carrots! I also tried the potato salad($ 4) which was good at first, but after subsequent bites tasted overpoweringly like just horseradish and Dijon mustard. The container was also a bit small for the $ 4 price tag. That would have merited a 3-star review, but the fact that I ordered«to go» and all my food was handed over individually with no bag or way of carrying was pretty lame, considering I paid $ 14 for this lunch — including an outrageously-priced $ 3 bottle of water(tip: buy your drink at Rite Aid inside the WFC beforehand if you eat here). I also heard they were out of the Thai Iced Coffee, so that doesn’t bode well for a stand that only has a few items to begin with. The fact that the burger stand a few feet away had a line of at least 30 people and this place had a line of 2 people should have been a warning. Granted, Fatty Snack is a very new stand, but the food, prices, and lack of basic expectations(brown paper bags!!) would not make me return or recommend this place to anyone else.

Another popup from the Fatty empire of Crab, ‘Cue and the dear departed Johnson’s. The kiosk on the WFC plaza is on the pricey side for lunch, but the pulled pork sandwich($ 9) is excellent and worth it. They make it in a sweet and slightly vinegary style(sort of Carolinian) with coleslaw on bun. I’d prefer a more vinegary sauce, but the meat is just astoundingly good. Up there with Fette Sau. The Wedge Salad looked like a throwaway, but I didn’t have it. Ribs are $ 12, but they looked at me funny when I asked«How much for just one rib?»
