Great food. I come all the way from Queens for their food. Their Hummus is one if best in New York. Their falafel’s are great, very light not heavy with a lot of oil after frying.

Greatest falafel I’ve ever had. Service is quick and friendly. They have many other items available on the menu.

I live in the neighborhood and this is one of the few mom and pop middle eastern joints around– so I decided, eh. to give it another try, after a not so great experience. Same thing happened, bland and overpriced. I ordered a falafel platter and it just wasn’t any good. The salad was just some iceberg lettuce, a few onions and like one slice of tomato. Tahini sauce side was so small. Falafels were just alright, I’ve exed this place for good– apart from the fact it’s always empty.

If you want a healthy alternative for a lunch spot you can try this spot. I got the Greek Salad with chicken Kebab. It came full of greens, tomatos, and cucumbers, with grilled chicken. I opted out for the pita, but it come with a warm pita as well. Great spot!

I love middle eastern food and I was super excited for their menu, especially since I was super hungry and in a rush. I thought it would be quick, since they just had to microwave the veggie dishes I ordered, but it took over 15 minutes(and they really did just microwave it). When I got the food, it looked awful. I tasted it and confirmed, it was just plain old. The rice was soggy, and the flavors were non-existent. I took it to go and figured maybe I could do something with it at home to salvage it, but then realized that it wasn’t worth it. The food was definitely old, and I’m not looking to get sick. I ended up throwing away my whole $ 10 meal, which is not something I EVER do. I will never go back to this place.

Avenge middle eastern quick bite. Nothing too special here, I came in here because I was really hungry. I ordered the chicken over rice bowl. When I first received it… I was scared it wasn’t enough food. But, it turned out it was fine. The chicken had a great flavor to it.

Honestly, the food is great, the prices are great, the location is great, the people who work there are great. Go there and support local places like these that give you a good meal at a fair price!

I love the food here, and the people are nice. And it’s great stuff to pack for a long Amtrak ride. But they don’t seem to keep any regular hours at all. They’re regularly closed at dinnertime on weeknights. They’re not on Seamless anymore. So I can’t ever make plans to get dinner there.

The problem with Pita Pan is they don’t spread stuff out throughout the pita. At the top of your pita it’s a straight up salad with your sauces, then at the bottom of your pita is all your meat, in a big, dry, un-marinated pile. Very unappetizing. However, on the customer-service level, I love the gesture of putting free ice-water out.

Pita Pan Café WAS an occasional work lunch, but not after today. After waiting politely for twenty minute for a simple vegetarian pita, we arrived back at the office to discover a pita of meat. After calling several times and no pick up, the person there finally picked up, and then hung up on me. After they hung up, they didn’t pick up the phone again. Which is why I’m putting this out on Unilocal. No more Pita Pan Café.

I come here every now and again for a falafel sandwich for lunch and they do a good job. I also love that they have a juicer. Since they are right across from NYSC, I will go in for a healthy post-workout juice. I miss the previous management that let you snack on pita chips for free while you waited for your order.

I don’t like to give bad reviews, but«I’ve had better,» was the first thing I thought when I bit into my gyro. And I feel bad because the people there are nice and friendly and the service is quick. I think I feel this way because I’m pretty sure they put tahini(sesame sauce) instead of tzatziki(greek yogurt sauce) which made it bitter. I don’t really care for tahini because to me, it makes fresh things taste rotten. I thought it was closed when I looked in because everything is made of particle board. The juice I had made was a little watery and they used a blender — maybe to add ice into it? They had a juicer, but it still ended up a little pulpy. I spent like $ 12 here on a gyro and juice and am not very satisfied with either… there they are still sitting right next to me as I type this. On the up side, the meat is pretty tasty — and the pita is alright… since I picked all the tahini covered tomatoes out. Anyhow, I wouldn’t call their gyro a gyro, I might call it a schwarma without all the veggies in it. It had lettuce, tomato, tahini and meat. Done.

I usually don’t go into a place that displays«Grade Pending» in the window. But the other restaurants in the area lack personality so I chose to eat here. First of all, you can see that this is a family running their own business. I ordered a fresh juice which was large and delicious for $ 4. Then I ordered a vegetable platter, which was fava beans, lentil with rice, and eggplant. I find it so hard to get a tasty vegetable dish, so I was very happy with this serving, even at $ 9. The restaurant does need some sprucing up, but that’s what they will do when they get more paying customers. They are across the street from NY Sports Club and near Clearview Cinemas, and I think I will return. They are friendly people.

I come here often for falafel sandwiches and their yummy deep fried pita chips. So yummy. 3.5 stars for Décor. 4 stars for cleanliness. the block is on the sketchy side, but they keep the restroom locked and decent — keys upon request. Come hungry, but not after 10pm. Yes, they close that early.

Ambiance: A small restaurant with some wooden booths and sticky tables. The décor is pretty stark with exception of framed drawings of Egyptian pyramids and sphinx. Do yourself a favor and do not go to the bathroom — fairly terrifying. As I walked towards the back I immediately noticed the incredible noise that my shoes made — the floor was crazy sticky dirty. The bathroom was pretty dirty and when I went to wipe the toilet bowl so that I could lower the seat, it was covered in dust. It was clear that this toilet, floor, bathroom has long been crying for a cleaning. It made me glad that I had not ordered anything with meat or that could spoil. Service: You order over the counter and they just call out the order number when it’s ready. The cashier seemed gentle mannered and nice enough. It seemed to be that the cashier and another guy did all the cooking and prepping. Food: I only wanted a snack, so my review is limited to fries. I did see a lot of other people who got more full meals and did not seem to have an extreme reaction of delight or hate. I would not get food again now that I know the low level of hygiene that have in the back half of the restaurant and bathroom. Overall: The people who worked there seemed nice enough, but I wouldn’t return on account of the lack of cleanliness.

I had two hours to kill between appointments in Chelsea(I live in E. Village) so I stopped in here for a late lunch. The menu is slightly overwhelming with«make your own» sandwiches, platters and kabobs — with different prices for every possible option. I just went with the basic falafel platter for about $ 9. Decent falafel and hummus, nothing to rave about or go out of your way for. Nobody complained about me sitting at a table for two hours reading my magazine though, which I appreciated.

Definitely not impressed. This was most definitely the worst thing I had in NY. The falafel was not very tasty. There wasn’t enough sauce, though maybe that is what makes it healthy. The gyro(jee-ro) tasted kind of weird and I wanted to drown it in tzatziki, hummus, spicy sauce, ANYTHING. I’m in NY. I want digustingly unhealthy(delicious) food. I’m going to mamouns.
