Needed a move in clean on short notice. Star for: easy scheduling. Also did a good job in the bathroom and inside the oven.
I was severely disappointed with the quality of cleaning that occurred (or did not, as it were) in the rest of the apartment. Unfortunately, I did not do a thorough enough look-​over before Mariola and her partner left. However, after the fact (and $ 180 cash spent, plus tip), I noticed that the top of the stove still had some old food on it (I had not used it yet). I thought it might just be a one-​off so I cleaned it myself and moved on. The next morning, though, when my husband and I were preparing to paint, I realized the walls were still dirty, and there was dust in a couple of the corners. The base boards had not been touched and had that caked-​on dirt/​dust layer on top of them. A deeper look showed me that other things that had not been addressed were: top of the refrigerator, behind the fridge, under the stove (pulled the drawer out), in the kitchen cabinets behind the drawers, light fixtures, microwave vent which was full of grease (there was no cover on it, as it was broken when we moved in). Also, the outside of the windows were not cleaned. Don’t know if I should have specified but if I am paying someone to «clean the windows,» I would expect the whole window to be done?
I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but after spending several hours cleaning AFTER the cleaning service, I was pretty frustrated. Within 24 hrs of the service, I e-​mailed Mariola about my dissatisfaction. She did call me back, and I explained to her why I was very displeased with the quality of service. Mariola basically gave me a whole line of excuses, saying that she always does her best etc etc. She did offer to send one of her girls to clean for another hour, but I told her I had already done it all myself. I told her, a couple of times, my belief was that I should be compensated back for the services that were not performed, but there was no recognition of that statement.
I hate to give a bad review, and I would have given stars back for customer service if the conversation afterward had gone differently. Unfortunately, that was not the case. If you are looking for a thorough cleaning, this is not the place to go.

I can’t remember how I found Mariola originally, but now I can’t remember how I lived without her either!
She does a fantastic job, scheduling is easy and prices are great. I trust her completely– I’ve given her a key and just leave a check. She comes and goes while I am at work, and I return to a spotless apartment. Definitely worth a try!

I discovered Mariola by accident when I was tracking down a move-​in cleaning for my old loft. She impressed us by scaling the wall and cleaning the pipes that had amassed years of dirt. Then we used her again for a move-​out cleaning and got our *entire* deposit back which I heard was rare with our old landlord.
Now we live in a clean, modern apt and call Mariola when life gets messy and we need our sanity back :)
