Have loved this place since I was an undergrad. Their raspberry bean dip is legendary and rightfully so! I’m a beef loving KS girl, and I have never had a burger here that I didn’t enjoy(ie-the table goes silent once the food is around haha). The staff has always been amazing, even on busier nights, and it has a great laid back atmosphere.

Food and service is fantastic. We had the cheese fries, raspberry black bean dip, green chili burger and the peanut butter burger with potato salads. Can’t wait to go back.

We never go visit Manhattan without stopping at SoLong Saloon for some fried pickles, raspberry bean salsa dip and a peanut butter burger. The place has limited seating, so sometimes there is a bit of a wait for a table.

Courtney was such a great waitress. She made he best recommendations. We had the Chipotle Raspberry Black Bean Dip as an appetizer. It was out of this world. She also recommended the PB burger, I would of never ordered this on my own. It was DELICIOUS!

Dirt cheap drinks. Wasn’t even happy hour and I paid next to nothing for em. Bartender also gave me a free shot for being military!

The food here is AMAZING!!! My husband and I went here based on reviews listed in Unilocal alone. He had the«can’t resist» burger and said it was the best burger he has ever had. We also had the raspberry bean dip, heaven!!! I forgot to take pictures because I was busy stuffing my face, but can’t wait to go back!

Awesome burgers… all of them are half pound and handmade! Another good menu item is the buffalo chicken sandwich with avocado and jalapeño ranch! Go for the onion rings… worth the small up charge! If you want to get a starter the I would try the raspberry and black bean cheese dip! Not sure who invented it but… YUM!

If this isn’t the best burger in Manhattan, I don’t know what is. Get the resist temptation and the raspberry bean dip!

Located in Aggieville(off-campus of K-State, heart of Manhattan), this place was packed on game day(right up until kickoff, when everyone must have gone to the game). A Unilocal check in gets you a free appetizer of raspberry bean dip which tasted absolutely incredible. I never would have thought to put raspberry with beans… but I am so glad that we tried it. Most of the other tables had it too, meaning it must be a well-known hit for everyone! Servers were friendly and it was great to see Old Milwaukee on tap! The peanut butter burger was one of the best I’ve ever had(And I’ve had a lot…) The aloha burger was decent but nothing over the top. Only giving it three stars because I like to see places that are conscious of reducing their waste and, well, everything was served in plastic(beers and water). Would love to see this changed to keep up with the trend.

This place is awesome. In town on business with a coworker, saw the reviews on Unilocal and decided to try. It is definitely a small place and there was a wait on a Tuesday night, but they manage it well and got us seats at the bar in ten minutes. They have a decent beer selection, but the food really impressed us. The raspberry chipotle black bean dip was amazing and as good as people said it was. We both had the special jalapeño burger with the spicy slaw and ate every bite. Highly recommend for people to try.

I had an excellent burger here, possibly one of the best in Manhattan. The toppings could have been more pronounced, but the meat was seasoned so well that it did not detract from the taste. The service was prompt and friendly, and the ambience was upbeat and welcoming.

Great little bar. I went for lunch on a Saturday and it was pretty packed. The wait staff were very friendly and the food was spot on. I had a greasy burger with a fried egg and bacon. This is definitely on my list for a good burger but it doesn’t get the fifth star because I didn’t see much else on the menu I was interested in, and they are a bit cramped.

Fantastic recommendation from a friend! Kids enjoyed everything. Raspberry bean dip delicious! Service here was outstanding! It’s a must see while traveling through Kansas or visiting KSU. The burger I had was baon, peanut butter, jack cheese, and siracha! Perfect!

One piece of advice: plan to wait a bit! I really wasn’t expecting a wait at lunch time during the week in the summer(especially since the rest of the town seemed a bit empty due to students being away) but there was one as wait! Luckily it was not too long, but I’m told this place is pretty popular and waits are expected as the space isn’t huge and it’s a popular spot for students, families and alumni. We started with the Raspberry Chipotle Bean Dip(Thanks to Unilocal for a free order of this! Just make sure to check in when you arrive ;)) and it was really delicious! I will admit that I was pretty hesitant to order it as our appetizer because it just did not sound appetizing to me, but it’s really strange how well the raspberry flavor, chiptole sauce, cheese and beans go together! Would definitely recommend to anyone who hasn’t tried it yet! For my entrée I ordered the Resist Temptation because I was told I would be glad I didn’t resist… and they were right, but it is hard(at least for me) not to like a burger with an egg and bacon. It was very filling though so order if you are hungry! I did substitute the cheese out for pepperjack because I like some heat on my burger and I thought it paired well with it. The onion rings were a great pair with it as they weren’t the overly fried and deep fried type of onion rings but just seemed to be battered and fried once which I prefer. The ambiance here reminds me of the college town feel I get when I’m back in Chapel Hill so I really loved it here. It seemed like a great place to go for a quick bite, a drink, or hanging out especially with TVs all around the place. The space is small though but they really utilized all of it with some big communal tables. The service here was awesome! Everyone was really friendly and patient despite how busy it was! If I’m ever in Manhattan, I’ll have to stop by and order the raspberry chipotle bean dip and a Nancy(an Old Milwaukee beer with pineapple juice! Very refreshing in the summer!)!

This is an amazingly fun place and a must go if you ever get a chance to make it out to Manhattan ks! It’s located in the hart of Aggieville and is truly unique! During my stay in KS, I was told that the bar is actually an original bar that was shipped in from an old Texas saloon! Every scratch on it was preserved! The decorations in this place are unlike anything you will find anywhere. The service at this place was always super friendly now matter how long the wait list would be. The place is so good that you can expect a wait list most days and on weekends, you can expect a bigger wait. So get there before you are completely starved! When we would go there we would usually start off with the Texas Nachos to share and then I would get the Aloha Burger! It would hit the spot every time! The quality meat that they use is top quality too! They use bison meat which smells and tastes amazing! If I come back to Aggieville, this will be one of the first places that I make sure to stop in at!

Visiting the area and was told I had to give this place a try and I’m glad we did. Started with the Raspberry Black Bean dip and that was s treat. Mix it up and keep those chips coming. I went for the sriracha peanut butter burger. First off big burgers. Good quality meat, heat form the rooster sauce and a little unique sweet from the peanut butter made this sledgehammer shine. I say sledgehammer because its one big meal. I’d recommend coming hungry or taking half home in a box. The place is kind has a funky day of the dead vibe with pictures of past music legends and hand carved skeletons. Not dark or anything just fitting in with the theme. Prices were very good too. We will be back.

By far the favorite bar in Aggieville, cold local beers, a delicious black n blue burger with thin crispy fries, incredible bad ass fish tacos and a solid cocktail, I’m sold and I’ll be back for sure!

This place is the CURE to alumni cravings! So Long Saloon is definitely a staple of Aggieville. The place is small but they make it work. The atmosphere is unique with skeletons & old school vintage Nashville art & sayings. Literally… Everything is good on the menu! Check in on Unilocal and get their world famous Raspberry bean dip(caution you WILL crave this)! The Bird is my absolute favorite. Chicken breast on Texas toast with all the fixins’ and you must try the potato salad and Fried pickles. They have your App out in about 5 – 10 mins and your food out shortly after you finish your app. Service is always fast but efficient. Try a «Nancy» beer, you won’t be disappointed. The only con: They will NOT seat you unless your whole group is there so take that in to consideration before walking in without your group! #MuchLove #KSUALUM

Delicious. Never disappoints. Worth the wait. Resist Temptation. Fries with a side of bbq sauce. Finger lickin’ good every time. Raspberry bean dip is also a must! Wash it all down with a Nancy.

The only downside is the size of the restaurant and the wait time. Although the staff did a good job getting us started with drinks while we waited. For an appetizer the chipotle raspberry and black bean dip is surprisingly good. The green chili cheese burger and onion rings were good. The buffalo burger was slightly overlooked.
