Always love this place! Best tacos in town and you have to try a Nancy beer if you are from out of town! Seriously crave this place. The only downside is there is not a good amount of seating so you have to go early and they do not seat you until your whole party is present.

Outstanding! Staff was very welcoming, and the food was delicious! Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for good Mexican food. I showed up a few minutes before they opened, and as welcomed to come in and sit at the bar, and was made comfortable and not like I was inconveniencing anyone at all. If you’re feeling brave enough, order The Beast!

Every aspect of my meal was so spicy(it was not labelled as such on the menu) that it was almost inedible and no other flavors could be distinguished. I can’t eat here again.

I only had the nachos as an appetizer so can’t speak for the rest of the menu but goodness gracious they were incredible. Plenty for two people, especially if you are going to have an entrée afterward, but man oh man I didn’t want to stop eating this delicious mountain of nachos. Every chip seemed to have something on it which is the best kind there is. I also had a frozen house margarita and tried a few sips of the same but it was on the rocks… both were great, maybe a little pricey, but went down smoothly nonetheless. Could have been made a bit stronger but if you are a margarita newbie then you’ll probably be a fan. Great indoor and outdoor seating on the patio… even in the winter you can sit outside because they have a nice fire going and heaters. No complaints with the service either. One thing though is I don’t like all of the plastic… wish our drinks were served in glassware instead, since I hate thinking about all the waste that is generated on a daily basis.

Love the black bean raspberry bean dip to start with and I get the grilled ensalada with avocado and chicken with pineapple salsa. My husband orders the tacos and you really can’t go wrong with any of them

Great food, however, the wait and crowd can be a bit much on the weekends or during lunch. The food is definitely delicious!

Wow!!! Amazing tacos and fun atmosphere! This line was out the door on a Friday night. We had margaritas while packed in the entrance, and they didn’t short us on the booze:) Friendly and quick service. We started with the trifecta with salsa guac and queso, YUM! My wife and I got six different tacos to share and had a blast!!! Each one was unique and delicious.

My husband and I are new to the area. We are both young professionals, and still getting a feel for the area. A friend had recommended this place, but warned us that it was small. We had a drink at the bar while waiting for a table, and the host came up to us and told us we were being removed from the wait list. I explained to her that we still wanted a table to eat at, we were just having a drink while we waited. Then she said, «I’m going to have to ask you to get up, and pay your tab.» She follows that pleasant demand with, «You can either sit in the bar or in the restaurant, you can’t do both.» She told us that we would need to stand and drink(there is no real waiting area to accommodate a crowd), and that the bar was for eating customers only. The bartender was nice and got us our tab right away, but that was embarrassingly rude! I know she doesn’t work for tips, but what an awful way to talk to customers. We finished our drinks and went to CoCo Bollos instead. There we were treated well, and have gone there ever since. She was so rude to us about it that I can’t even fathom going back there. I do feel kind of bad if people were waiting to sit there, and we just took there spot. However, I’ve never been to a place that has a waiting list for the bar. Usually businesses(and bartenders) welcome people just coming to get a drink while they wait for their table. Our bill for drinks in 3 minutes was $ 15.00 which equals a $ 3 tip and increased sales for the business. We would have had 2 or 3 a piece, and the friends who were meeting us would have as well. Food is $ 9 a plate, and we stay in the spot for over an hour. You don’t want that at the bar. Drink sales are always more than food sales when you factor in time. It’s just good business. You are providing an experience for people when they come in. This was an awful one.

Love the buffalo chicken and mexicano tacos. Menu is very original and the atmosphere is great for a night out in Aggieville. Only downside is the wait on busy nights because it is a small place.

Best Mexican food in Manhattan. You may not think that’s saying a lot, but it is. Mexican beverages(including horchata and imported Coke and Pepsi), fantastic and very authentic tacos with traditional ingredients, all at great prices. Definitely worth a visit!

Started with the raspberry bean dip — a must! So good — you’ll want to scrape out and/or lick the dish clean. Trust me. Ordered 2 tacos: –Black & Blue. Delish! So good with steak, pico, & salsa. Packs a bit of heat/spice from the jalapeños and light sauce. Crisp, tasty shell. Definitely will get this again. –Fish. Equally delicious. Light. Fresh. Tasty. Lots of great tastes wrapped into the shell. Definitely will get this again, too! Great service. Kind staff. Consistent refills. Went at 11am and beat the noon rush! Definitely a great spot with handcrafted food! Yummmmm!

The tradition of going to Taco Lucha every Tuesday became one of my favorite in Manhattan. I can’t speak more highly of Taco Lucha. My only recommendation would be to check out the specials on other days of the week, as many are quite good.

I don’t give a 5 star unless it’s really a 5 and this place really is. We were in town for 3 days, ate here twice and ordered take out Delicious. The menu is pretty basic focused on Taco’s but they are SO good! There are many options for your taco selection. Every one we tried was great. The chipotle raspberry and black bean dip was excellent. Even the naysayers in our group loved it. We had to order more. If you’re in the area it’s a must have. I wish we lived closer, I’d be a regular.

Good place to go for lunch. The service was good and the food came out fast. I had the Slayer and Fish taco. Both had a lot of good flavor. I would come back again for lunch. The only con was it seemed a little overpriced for lunch, especially their chips and salsa appetizer. Popular spot in Aggieville, so apparently people don’t mind paying that price.

This place is great. Great atmosphere, great food, cant ask for more than what you get here at Taco Lucha. I got the El Mexicano tacos and they were delicious. Got one with steak, chicken, and pork. The pork one was ok but the other two were delicious. Would definitely go back.

The place was PACKED! Always a good sign. We followed recommendations off of Unilocal and was not disappointed. We were traveling from CO to STL and thought«why not drive 7 miles off the exit for a good meal» Nachos, Black and Blue Tacos and regular Taco were spot on. If you are ever in need of a good Mexican fix while in Manhattan, this is the place.

I asked my server to decide which two tacos I should try and he ordered it up! They were the best tacos I’ve had!!! Try the Peanut Butter taco on Tuesday, the beef was tender and the sauces were divine. Can wait to come back.

This is a fun spot in Aggieville that you should come to at least once. The service is excellent and I love the patio. The food is so-so. I am from Texas so I am a bit particular about tacos. I understand this is fusion and have tried a variety of items on the menu, including various tacos, the famous chipotle-raspberry black bean queso dip, different house salsas, and the grilled salad. Everything is okay, but nothing is really wow. For spicy fans, get the slayer and tinga tacos. Otherwise, the dip is a house special which is also available at the sister restaurant So Long Saloon next door. Today on the patio, the fireplace was going, which was nice. When you have to wait for a table, you can get drinks which is a nice touch.

This is probably the one restaurant I miss since moving away. My favorite tacos were the Mexicano and the black& bleu with beef. Nom nom. Their sangria or mango margaritas are great to wash it down with. This place is small and they don’t have high chairs for kiddos, so plan on bringing a booster seat that attaches to the regular chair if you really need one. I absolutely adore their outdoor patio, but eating indoors at the bar with my husband on a date night is a treat as well. It shares a kitchen with the restaurant next door, but they’re normally pretty expedient about getting food out. Sometimes the wait can get long, this place is popular for the right reasons… the food is amazing and normally the service is spot on. Definitely a place to stop at when you’re in town.
