The food met expectations and was very much in line with what you would see at one of the ‘authentic’ Mexican restaurants in any town this size. The service was good. The margarita was not drinkable. It tasted like an awful pre-mix. Once I tasted it I asked for a shot of Grand Marnier to float and they were out. I couldn’t drink it. If you are only looking to eat, this place is fine but I do not at all recommend ordering a margarita.

This place is doomed, but not sure why. By that I mean the place was completely empty on a Friday night. Very pleasant and nice place. Good service. But honestly the carne asada was the worst I’ve had, dry. The enchiladas also not the best. Margaritas and chips were good.

Great Tex-Mex food. My wife and I are both from Houston and miss good Tex-Mex. when we found this spot, it instantly became our go-to! good food, good service PS. I recommend the carnitas! They go great with a margarita on the rocks.

Excellent service and excellent food. Los Texanos is a great family oriented restaurant with great options to eat for the tenured Mexican food connoisseur, but also keeps the simple options for the casual eater. I highly recommend this place for any occasion.

Love this place, and am so happy they’ve replaced El Mariachi! For starters, the fact I can now have a margarita with my meal is a star all on its own – El Mariachi had an unfortunate circumstance leaving them stripped of a liquor license – such is no longer the case! While I’m notorious for wanting to try something new each time, I’ve found my favorites and I’m sticking to them. Their chicken Texan nachos are FABULOUS, and could be a meal all on their own – I personally have them add pinto beans on mine and it’s made all the difference. Very fairly priced, my favorite menu item(the burrito gigante with steak/chicken and red enchilada sauce added inside) is a modest $ 8.99 for a mammoth sized burrito I can eat for lunch the next day. I’ve noticed this place is usually always pretty quiet when we go, and I’m assuming it’s simply suffering from the wake El Mariachi left when they closed down. This is so sad! This place is so deserving of a full restaurant every night their doors are open – I’ve already replaced them in front of El Tapatio as my favorite Mexican spot, and that says something. Friendly, attentive staff always – Russell is always prompt and great! Highly recommend this place. The only reason it’s missing the last star is because I’ve noticed some inconsistencies in the usually delicious chips and salsa – otherwise they’re spot-on!

Definitely not tex-mex. The Queso had little to no flavor, the meat was dry, and the salsa only tasted like cilantro. I’m from Texas and I expected better but was sorely disappointed. The only thing I liked was the chips, which are pretty good.

Omg! I love this place! Their margaritas are delicious! Their tacos are amazing! Real chorizo and real carne de al pastor.(I’ve been to some places where they mix«chorizo» with eggs and call it a chorizo taco, NO. I’m Mexican and that is NOT how you make a chorizo taco) Anyways, their food is really good and the price is just right! I remember a waitress named rosa, she is so sweet, attended us very good! I could go on and on about how great this place is lol.
