The Dry Cleaning Guru

I just moved to the West Village and I was looking for a new dry cleaner. Actually found a flyer for Dry Cleaning Guru and decided to just try it out. They do dry cleaning and wash & fold. All I do is text the phone number, request a time and someone immediately confirms with me.
Easy and super convenient! I live in a 5^th floor walk up (ugh) and they come straight to my apt door. They give you these reusable bags with your name on them and you just give it to them and then you get it back when all your clothes are cleaned. I’ve used them 4 times already and everything came back great. Prices are good. No extra fee for picking up/​dropping off!
Will continue to be a customer. :D

These people crush it. They save me so much time and hassle and are so insanely nice.

I am extremely disappointed with the service. When I started doing my laundry all seemed well. After 2 months or so, my dry cleaned suit jackets were not
cleaned well and I had to send them back. Then with another trip, my credit card was charged $ 200 for my laundry supposedly by accident. With that same trip, they lost one of my favorite shirts. I have been contacting them to compensate me back for my lost item now it has been weeks. I have been going back and forth with them on figuring out my payment and now they are ignoring my calls. I have left voicemails several times and nobody has called me back. This place is very unprofessional and I am extremely unhappy with the service.

This place is amazing! They’re so accommodating and extremely fast. Proces also cheaper than the dry cleaner around the corner that I previously used, and they’re so much more convenient. Love them 5 stars for sure.

Such wonderful service. They are on time and very professional. They are hip and up with times. Using text messages to coordinate pick ups and drop offs. The delivery guys are very cool young hip guys who are very professional and on time.

This place is the best! They are super fast and are always on top of calling you when they say they will (for drop off or pick up).
They are modern and text if that is easier for you, and are flexible if you need to change your scheduling for any reason.
They give you your own person laundry bag that is massive and has your name and info on it to make the process easier-​and you get to keep it.
you have the option to air dry clothes or machine dry, and it is all affordable. The clothes smell great, are folded to perfection and the delivery men are very young, kind, gentlemen!
Last but not least-​they always promptly email you a receipt!

I have been having my shirts dry cleaned and clothes wash-​and-​folded with Guru since I moved to West Village in May. These guys rock. They pick-​up and drop-​off. I’ve texted them last minute and they have never disappointed, showing up close to 10pm to pick up and as early as 7:30am. Shirts and clothes always ready the next day. As long as I live here I will use nobody else.

I needed to get all of my suits cleaned for work, but I needed to go to a place with a quick turn around. I found The Dry Cleaning Guru on Unilocal and decided to give them a try. The prices were on par with other cleaners in the neighborhood and the website said they had could have my order done the next day. I e-​mailed them late last night and they responded within half an hour saying they could pick up my clothes the next morning and have them back to me some time the following day.
I left my clothes with the doorman, and Dry Cleaning Guru sent me a text after they picked them up, which was greatly appreciated. I really like that this company will communicate by phone, text, or email, and they update you on the status of your order.
Later that evening there was a ring at my door. Lo and behold, it was my dry cleaning! It was already done! Super quick service and the young lady who delivered my clothes was very nice and even apologized for not texting me before she arrived. My clothes were brought back in a Garmento bag (as opposed to just plastic bags) with a luggage tag that had my information on it for easier pickup next time. This was such a nice extra touch that I was not expecting!
About 30 minutes later I received a call from Chris at the company who was following up to make sure I got my clothes back and that everything was okay. He explained the two payment options to me — pay per order or pay monthly. The monthly option is nice if you are constantly sending things out and don’t want to get a bill every single time.
I am definitely planning on using this service for my dry cleaning again in the future — the customer service was just great. While dry cleaning is dry cleaning and you can get it done at many places, Dry Cleaning Guru provided quick and friendly service, and good customer service goes a long way in my book.

Used their service last night. Super flexible service, they came to drop off my stuff within the hour I called them. Also very tech friendly, sent a text to me when my laundry was ready to get delivered. Cheap too! Perfect for banking interns or anyone else with long hours and a work schedule you don’t have much control over!

I’ve been having my clothes cleaned by the dry cleaning guru team for the past few months and have been very pleased with the quality of their work and their friendliness. So far, I haven’t had a single issue with them. In a couple of cases, I was shocked when they were able to wash two huge (and I mean huge) loads of laundry for me in one day.
I live in a walk up, so getting dry cleaning delivered to me can be quite painful, but this group makes it seamless. They take text messages, which is incredibly helpful and have always been able to deliver within an hour of me reaching out to them. As a bonus, they’re open later than most dry cleaners in my neighborhood.
The only potential downside is that they don’t have a store front for me to drop off last minute items at, but I prefer to have my clothes picked up and delivered so this hasn’t been an issue for me.
