Hate to give low stars but this location truly has too many franchises in a small location – end result, nothing is great. I ordered a simple chicken noodle soup. The broth has a thick film of oil on top and the actual broth is cloudy. The noodles are pretty much disintegrated(I assume from just sitting there). I literally just took one sip and I don’t feel like taking a risk of getting sick. Would have given it 1 star, but the guy who served was rather nice. I don’t think I’ll be going back for the soup. The Tim Horton’s part of it is good(most of the time).

Ehhh, this SoupMan location is combined with a Tim Hortons and Tasti D lite, so the result is a small depressing dining establishment that is surprisingly always empty. I get the whole«rules» thing is part of the SoupMan brand–«know what you want, have money ready, step to the EXTREME left» but I find it more rude and obnoxious than amusing. I had a large lobster bisque and paid $ 9.79 for it. There weren’t «chunks» of lobster in mine as a another reviewer described, but rather tiny little stringy pieces. Couldn’t really taste it either since it was extremely salty. Don’t really envision coming back.

I got the potato leek soup for a little over five dollars. It was so disgusting that I only had one bite before throwing the whole thing into the trash can. It was very watery — not creamy like it should be. The potatoes looked like little machine created squares — very contrived and unnatural. It had a bitter taste that reminded me of old trash. It was honestly the worst soup I’ve ever had. The one plus was that it came with a banana, which I didn’t expect. However, since I paid $ 5 for the ensemble and threw away the soup, I basically paid $ 5 for ONEBANANA. Do not go here!!! It is so disgusting! The«soup» is like mildewy sweat and is an insult to true soup.

I had tried the jambalaya at their Hells Kitchen location and wasn’t into it, but here it was pretty good. Their still really generous with the sausage but the flavors are more balanced. The shrimp corn chowder is also solid, though I still think Hale & Hearty is better all around. Staff is nice. Pricing is high. No bathroom. You still get free bread and an apple.

Broccoli cheddar soup was great and hot. Staff was friendly and offered tastings of any of their soups.

They don’t even deserve one star. Horrible customer service. Does the manager even train their employees? Obnoxious behavior towards customer just because I didn’t understand what she was asking me. After a few regular visits, I noticed that this woman at the cashier is always angry and shows very bad manner. You’ve just lost another customer.

Ehhhh… First time trying this place. But I didn’t think it was a big deal. Maybe it was choice of soup. Corn chowder it was if you might ask… Service was good, and quick! Since I was the only one there. They also have Tim Hortons and a yogurt wall call tasti d light or something. I might come back for some other kind of soups, maybe the Jambalaya? Or Chicken Chilli. I guess I can’t really say I wont come back just based on one soup.

Came in because I was tempted by the lobster bisque ad on the windows. As a bonus, they also had lobster rolls for sale. The place is small and shares it with a TIm Horton’s. The two employees were very pleasant and helpful. I got a lobster bisque AND a lobster roll. Both were on the pricey side. I got the large bisque. It was filling but I only found a couple chunks of lobster and lots of teeny bits of old seeming something-or-other. The flavor was just okay. I took the lobster roll to go but when I ate it later in the day — it was delicious! Small, but delicious! The hot-dog-bunlike roll was buttered and the lobster filling was very flavorful.

Wandered in for soup, realized it was all overpriced, so I got a wrap. Bad call. Wrap was stiff and freezing. I must say, the staff was SO nice, but very unimpressed with the food.

The lobster bisque was quite good though expensive. The place is tiny but if you come here when it’s not busy, there are a enough seats to go around. The cashiers were helpful and rather nice. There are plenty of soups. I would go back to try them all out.

Lobster bisque is outstanding! Make sure you follow the rules! I really enjoyed my soup. Yes, almost $ 8 is a lot for a small cup of soup BUT it’s lobster bisque and it’s in the heart of Manhattan! So, for $ 8 does the soup have bits of lobster or chunks of lobster? Thankfully, the answer is CHUNKS. I mean lots and lots of chunks of lobster. The flavor was amazing. I wish we would have gotten a bowl instead of the cup. It was that good. Service was good, price was in line with Manhattan prices and soup was delish! I’d come back just for the lobster bisque!

I walked by this place and noticed that had a soup and sandwich special for $ 5. I thought I’d try it out. Although this chain was started by the guy who was the inspiration for Seinfeld’s «Soup Nazi» episode, the people who work here are very nice and helpful. They are generous with free samples. I was almost disappointed. I think a «NOSOUPFORYOU!» might have made my day. I got a butternut squash soup that was pretty good, but nothing special. I also saw them hand make my roast beef sandwich(and the guy was wearing gloves, so the place is hygenic), which was a very nice touch. And the sandwich was OK. Again, nothing special. What killed it for me was the small portions. I know this is NYC, but I could have gotten much more at a local deli. If you are starving, you should not go here. I want to emphasize that the people who work here are SUPERNICE. I wish there was a way I could rate service separately, so I could give them 5 stars. Unfortunately, the food, while not bad, was nothing that would make me want to come back.

Three weeks ago it was raining and really miserable outside. I wasn’t particularly feeling well and decided soup should be on the agenda. I checked out the Soupman and found him to be OK as he served his purpose… DISCLAIMER: I really like soup. Most likely there will be an upward bias… So my coworker D and I walked in and luckily there was no one on line. The cashier was very nice despite the Soup Nazi theme as seen on Seinfeld. I found it to be a bit weird as i was expecting something more similar to the show. Instead we were dealing with a smiley and perky lady offering free soup samples to guide us in our decision making… Anyways, I wound up choosing a bowl of some corn type of soup for $ 6.99 before tax. Along with my soup, I was given 2 small pieces of bread and chocolate as I did indeed FOLLOWTHERULES. The soup wasn’t bad. But it was small for the amount I paid. Luckily it did make me feel better and filled me up adequately… Savvy tip: Get a piece of your favorite bread and make this meal more filling! Summary: OK soup, but expensive. This is not my go-to soup place but now and then it’s OK.

I have not ever been to Al Yeganeh’s original stand made famous on Seinfeld. However, I did have high quality Jambalaya at this little combo stand that included Tim Horton’s and Tasti DLite. The frozen yogurt looked good, but skip the doughnuts at Tim Horton’s – Dunkin Donuts they are not – much too heavy! The jambalaya was very good but not special. Balducci’s does a better job.

This restaurant advertises«Free WiFi Available» at the door. Once inside they tell you to use the service from the nail salon next door — which does not work! Then they claim that the lack of WiFi«is not their fault». Poor(single) restroom with broken seat and unimpressive food gives me enough reasons not to return.
