Never have had a bad experience with Good Luck. Love the burgers but most of all I love the country setting.

I drive by here every weekday going to/from work so I finally stopped and tried it. I got a deluxe cheeseburger which was really tasty. Service was friendly and quick. I like the relaxed atmosphere. There was live music on the porch and places to sit out back. Nice little restaurant and I will definitely be back, maybe even for carry out on a night when I don’t want to cook.

Don’t be discouraged when you drive up — the restaurant is a trailer of some sort. If you have a stroller, it is a little inconvenient that the ramp is located on the side where they hang the terrible smelling mops. However, they probably have the best catfish ever — it’s white, fluffy and fresh. A few other suggestions are the fried okra(limited time) the grilled chicken salad, and grilled vegetables. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. Outside, they have an area for kids to run around and play which is really nice. The porch on the back does not have a ramp so again — if you’re rockin a stroller, you will be carrying it down the stairs. Overall, great good and service. We always enjoy dining here.

The food and good vibes of this place deserve 5 stars, but the styrofoam plates knocked it down a star. The food is very simple and down home, totally fresh and made from scratch with care! Loved everything we got, from catfish to chicken fried steak. Even the side salad used fresh, well prepared produce. And the patio and yard are so nice for families. The styrofoam was the only downer.

So glad we found this gem in Manor! Decided to visit on the recommendation of a friend and we were very satisfied with the meal. I ordered the catfish toes and coleslaw. The bf had the chicken fried chicken and mashed potatoes and a side salad. The catfish toes were some of the best catfish I’ve had in some time, hands down the best Ive had in Manor. The bf had only good things to say about his chicken, and the mashed potatoes were rich and flavorful.(The only downside for me was no mac n’ cheese or yams on the menu. But that’s not enough to deduct for) There’s a reason this place has such high reviews, if you are looking for fried and/or southern cooking this is the place to go in Manor.

This place definitely brings you good luck to your tapeworm! The food is delicious and plenty to keep your appetite full afterwards with even left overs. The facility is nice inside and outside. Plenty of seating outside. Inside if it were raining and this place w a busy as it was when I came last night people would be waiting under the porch out front. It would well worth the wait. The outside seating is great for families with kids. The kids have plenty of space to run and around play to get all that energy out of them. Our kids were playing tag with other kids that showed up. They all made friends with other kids pretty quick. They have the washers game that you can play. Parking area is big with unpaved white gravel. Now for the food I got the 8 ounce country fried steak. Man it was bigger than I thought it would be. It came with one side and a salad. The salad was fresh and really great and we’ll portioned. The kids meals come with tokens for your kids to get a prize out of the machine after you get done ordering your food. My wife and oldest got themselves some burgers and those look delicious as well. They look really fresh and the patties were cooked just right on some Texas toasted bread. My family and I will be returning again to try out the rest of the menu.

Average fried food served on styrofoam plates along with plastic utensils. Oh yeah, styrofoam cups too! It reminded me of Grandy’s without rolls and real plates. I just can’t recommend this place.

This place was delicious! I was surprised by how small it was inside but it was really cute. Lots of fried food, we had the sampler platter which was so good. Fried pickles, fried mushrooms and fried tomatoes! We came for lunch and I had a fried chicken sandwich, it was huge and super yummy! I had to take have of it home and it was still delicious for lunch the next day! We will be back soon! Especially when I am craving some good old American fried food!

Great all around place to eat and entertain. Love the patio and outside play yard. Great live entertainment. Food is very good! Tea is perfect. Shrimp is a little pricey but I can deal with it since it’s cooked right and flavorful. Nice quiet not the average place to eat. And clean.

This small location offers less than organized/well planned lighted parking. Plus, the entrance is not clearly marked if you are coming in from Manor and if later in the evening; not very well lighted securely(only the exit is clearly lit and marked by some huge lawn art-fruit). It was a fairly welcoming, small location; yet the follow-up service was mildy annoying. You place your order, leaving your name to be called. The help yourself beverage station or condiments seems to be kept pretty clean and somewhat organized. It is sad that the menu options are very limited and that you have to pick up your own order and almost bus your own table, yet the prices seem briefly reasonable. For easy access and an option; then going there for an early dinner – not when its darker.

Saw this place a couple of times while exploring the backroads to avoid the toll. There were always a lot of cars parked out front for lunch, so finally decided to try it one weekend. The chicken fried steak is very thin, so it comes out crispy, almost like a fritter, which is the way I prefer it. I ordered the small 4oz, but because it was so thin, it took up most of the plate! The salad was fresh and much larger than I expected. My only complaint was that the mashed potato serving was only the size of an ice cream scoop. The cream gravy was very tasty. I went back the next weekend to try their catfish, which other posters had raved about. Being from Pflugerville, I always compare catfish to Springhill’s, and I thought Good Luck’s was just as good. I ordered with the shrimp combo, and those were also good sized and tasted great! I think the Good Luck Grill has become one of my regular spots!

This place has been a regular for us. Great chicken fried Steaks, chef salads, and mushroom steak burgers are our favorites. The décor is homy cowboy in nice condition. They have great homemade pies. It’s nice when the server knows your name. Will be back soon.

I love this place! I have tried almost everything on the menu. Food is always amazing! My favorites… grilled zucchini, fried catfish and the chili. It is a very casual atmosphere and great décor. If I could offer a suggestion it would be a TV for football games and/or other sporting events… but it maybe by design that they don’t have one. Locals… check your mailbox for great coupons!

We went here for the first time this weekend to try something new and we weren’t disappointed. One thing that caught me off-guard was the fact that you order after you walk in and you pick up your food when the your name is called. I left a big tip when I paid thinking we would be served at the table after we ordered, but that is not the case. The menu is basic but the items we tried(catfish, chicken fried steak, steak salad) were all real solid. The catfish pieces were generous and cooked to perfection. I liked that the cornmeal batter had decent seasoning because many places make it way too bland. If possible, I would like the option to order spicy catfish which adds some heat. The hushpuppies were outstanding. A very distinct jalapeño flavor without being too spicy if that’s not your thing. My son ordered the big chicken fried steak and it was really good. The meat was very tender and not gristly at all. The only complaint were two minor things: A more flavorful white gravy and more than a tiny scoop of mashed potatoes would be good next to that huge steak. The setup is really nice and we ate on the patio. The weather this fall has been perfect, and it gives little kids a place to run around while waiting for food.
