Surprised at the negative reviews, I’ve had nothing but good experiences at this office with both the doctors and the front office personnel. In fact, I would say the front office staff have gone out of their way to be helpful to both myself and my daughter. We visited earlier in 2015(my second exam there, daughter’s first) but I stopped by about a month ago to fill a prescription and was assisted right away and very pleasantly, even without an appointment.

Had a less then perfect experience at this office with the lady Doctor. Wouldn’t go if you had to see her but if you can see Dr. Boyd you will be happy with this office. I had a bad experience with one of my child’s glasses and left an review and they called me quickly to try and fix the situation. Brandi was sweet kind and helpful and took care of my problems for me.

Wow, never had such a bad interaction with front office staff. Upsell, upsell, upsell! I was never notified my glasses had arrived. I was handed my glasses out of the delivery box and asked if I could read a sales pamphlet off the counter, no fitting or adjustments. I explained the glasses didn’t feel right and was told that was due to the new prescription and I’d grow into them. I returned and complained and was told I’d have to pay for a new office visit and exam. I walked out. Well I guess they have to pay for the new pretty building some how. PS to the doctors. You need a room for those front office peeps to make personal calls. I don’t need to know she is thrice divorced and would the bank rerun a bounced check because her husbands paycheck hit the bank last night.

I will never recommended these guys even to my worst enemy. The service is just HORRIBLE. The Doctors & owners were great but the front desk personnel seem like they just go in there to get a pay check and careless about the customers. First Saturday I went to the office and sat for over 2 hours before I could see the Doctor of Optometry. I was asked to check back a week later to which I obliged. The next Saturday it was the same ordeal of time wasting. I ordered my glasses and to my dismay I was told it won’t be ready until the next Sayurday… I endured. Someone called me and left a voicemail but I was unable to make it that weekend. I then decided to pick it after leaving my office the following Monday. I called in because I wanted them to know I was coming in. I walked in and there was only 1 customer these ladies were attending to. There was no greeting or acknowledgement… perhaps they had issue with the color of my skin… which I don’t care except they had no issue getting over $ 700 of my money for the services. One of the ladies was on a call when I walked in, ended the call and walked in where she stayed for about 5 – 6 mins —-probably had some paper work to do right! no issues. By this time this lady was done with the ONLY customer but kept talking about non service related issue while I kept walking in the hallway still unacknowledged. The lady that had been inside came out and eventually attended to me still not a hello. I had to ask her how her day was going. She brought my glasses out and tried to fit it. Of course it was loose! She walked away without a word to say she was going to heat the glasses to fit. To her credit, the 2nd came to tell me that she left to heat those glasses. She finally came out with it with some CHEAP glass case but I knew at the time that was the last time and I had no time to waste anymore. If u are ready to spend close to 4 hrs at the office, 3 trips and be treated like crap for a very expensive service, Boyd is the place to go! I tried them because a family member referred me but henceforth, there’s no substitute for my 1 hour service at one of the major eyeglass stores.

I have a high chance of developing glaucoma and I’ve always known that from previous doctor visits. When I first went to boyd eye care they told me that I would need advanced testing done and that it could be done there. I recently returned for the glaucoma work up and it turns out that I need an Ophthalmologist for additional testing and a second opinion. I figured that based on my previous visit with them that they could have referred me to the Ophthalmologist right there and then instead of misleading me to pay them an additional $ 250 for tests they could not perform.

Visited today despite the various negative comments and have to say I was extremely pleased. Great customer service and caring folks. Both ladies at the front were super in providing assistance. Sandi(think that was her name) helped me to find the right shape and type glasses for me even though I left undecided on the reading glasses I wanted. Just overall great service with no up charge sales type pitches which turn most off. I will recommend them to friends.

Found them through groupon. Makes me never want to use another groupon(but groupon gave me a credit so I will). They rang up the total and handed me a bill for $ 694 more than the $ 300 groupon. The total bill was $ 1049 for an eye exam and one pair of glasses. I complained and they said the frames were only $ 125 and that the cost was in the lenses because I was getting the top of the line. When I read the receipt I discovered they charged me $ 25 to measure my eyes for the prescription. The lenses alone were $ 600 and the frames were $ 125 after the groupon plus they added on $ 75 for the sunglasses the sales lady said were included with the frames.

I got to this place from Groupon. I had to go back twice for my contacts because they got my prescription wrong(too high) and 3 times for my glasses(again, too high). They claim I didn’t bring in my old glasses. But if I’m going to a new eye doctor, I always bring my old glasses in. When it came down to it, I requested a refund for the glasses because they couldn’t resolve it. It’s been about a month and I’ve received nothing. I keep calling and they tell me that they’ll call me back after they call their accountant, but they never call me back. I have never had this kind of problem with an eye doctor or an eyeglasses manufacturer. Don’t go to these people.
