What a great restaurant. First time and we enjoyed everything. The food was wonderfully flavorful and the service was dialed in perfectly, especially for a holiday weekend. Nice park setting across the street to enjoy a after meal sit on the bench. We will be back.

The place is super spacious. Love the potatoes skin. My sausages sampler was alright. What keep us going back is mostly because of the overall package, food, location, service and etc.

Usually one of my favorite breakfast spots. Not today! Absolutely horrible service. Walked in around 9 am and after being told to seat ourselves sat for at least 5 minutes with no server coming over despite the fact that there were at least 4 waitresses and only 3 other occupied tables. I had to get up and ask if we had a server to which one waitress threw up her hands and said«yeah I’ll be right over» When food arrived it was good, although I never got the baked beans i ordered. I would have simply reminded the waitress when she returned to check on us… But that never happened. She strolled by about a half hour later and left the check. We would have wrapped up some leftover however we didn’t get the opportunity to ask for a take out box. Ordinarily I’m a 20% tipper even if the service is so so… Not this time. All together awful experience with servers who seemed annoyed to wait on us.

March 26– Excellent breakfast this morning. Almost perfect. Home fries were just a little inconsistent but the atmosphere is nice. A touch busy but not an overlong wait. Very nice waitress, had a nice chat about books. :-) I’d say it’s an average to slightly above average price range. I do recommend it

I met up with an old friend for breakfast here on a Saturday morning. What an adorable eatery! The menu had all the basics plus some fun items such as the Fenway omelette. It was all very delicious and the service was great! Our coffee cups were never empty and my toddlers food came out quickly so that the grown ups were able to talk more easily. We’ll definitely be back!

Went for breakfast for the first time and food was average. Corned beef hash was on the wet, soft side; tasted like it’s from the can and not housemade or anything. Hollandaise had a slightly off taste to it. Husband’s Fenway omelet was a little bland, but decent. Home fries were quite good though and had a very nice crisp. Big menu with a lot of options, but the dishes we had were nothing to rave about. The place was consistently full on a Sunday morning, so maybe we should have tried other dishes.

A very popular place for lunch at my office. Excellent food, excellent service. Little bit slow on turning around the check, but I’m more than happy to stick around for another coffee before going to /back to the office. The Popeye Eggs Benedict is a new-found favorite!

They have great breakfast. Have not been there for lunch or dinner but always go for breakfast and every time it has been amazing. I don’t give five stars because I have not been there for their other options for lunch and or dinner.

My boyfriend and I went here last weekend and I have to say it was fabulous! Not surprisingly, we pig out every time we go out to breakfast and this time was not different. I got a Belgium waffle, egg whites, sausage, bacon and an english muffin. My boyfriend got french toast, home fires, a ton of bacon and an english muffin as well. The food was absolutely fantastic. First off, I was super excited and pleasantly surprised they had egg whites, which just happen to be my favorite, and they cooked them perfectly. Next I dove into the Belgium waffle which was perfect! I was craving a waffle and they did not disappoint! Super fluffy, yet crispy, with plenty of butter. My boyfriends french toast was also a unique twist that we have been noticing many breakfast places are using. Instead of the typical pieces of bread, most places are now using two long pieces of french bread which is so much better than regular bread! It was crispy and fluffy with lots of butter and just the right amount of cinnamon. We went on a Sunday which meant it was ridiculously packed and though we don’t mind waiting for a table, it took us 15 minutes to find the person we were suppose to give our name too. The only other issue we really had was the service. Don’t get me wrong our waitress was very kind and sweet; however, we waited about 20 minutes just to put our drinks in and almost half an hour to get our bill. Thats a little frustrating when you really just want to head out and continue your day. Nonetheless, the food was delicious so perhaps she was new or stressed so we forgive! Lastly, the mimosa that my boyfriend got was not something we would recommend — at least not at 10 am. There was barely any orange juice, it looked like dirty water instead. Typically he wouldn’t care but he would prefer to not be on his butt the entire day because of one over the top strong drink. Perhaps it is better to order it light champagne and heavy OJ in the future for us. Great place that we will surely be visiting again.

Cute place and clean, the service started off not so good. But then I asked for our drinks that we where waiting on for 15 mins. It got better after that. Good for great value!

Typical little diner in the suburbs — but what an amazing menu! It took us ages to figure out what we wanted to order, and I went for the classics: I ordered the buttermilk pancakes and the homefries and both were scrumptious. The pancakes were light and fluffy and sumptuous, and the homefries were tasty and the perfect size. The coffee was great too. Overall, great breakfast, and a very quaint little spot!

Even though the stuffed blueberry French toast is yummy, DON’T sit at the counter and expect good service, unless you are a regular. I’ve literally had 4 waitresses in front of me and get nothing. A regular walked in and had coffee within 30 seconds.

Love this place. Been coming in for the past year. Everyone I have taken has been in love with one of their dishes. The eggs benny with crab cakes steals the first place prize in my heart. Excellent food. Lovely staff. And they always have big portions. Highly recommended.

Great little Gem! Went on a Sunday at 11 am and only had to wait 20min. Not bad at all. The food was great and the portions were so big I needed a togo box :) The Corned beef hash was OK. Not homemade so I’ll save u the trouble, but everything else was absolutely delish. Home fries were awesome, Pancakes were fluffy and the coffee cups were filled pretty quickly considering how busy it was. It gets filled up quickly and it can be hard to find parking, but if you’re a local to Mansfield you know this already. Btw, The sandwiches, fries and onion rings looked good too from what I saw on others peoples plates. LoL

Café on the Common is a traditional ‘go to place’ for Breakfast or Brunch. The lines on Saturday and Sunday«forget about it» crazy. The place is packed and people will wait in long lines to get in. Having gone to Café on the Common for years — the most impressive thing is the specials — always throwing a twist on the traditional Eggs Benedict — which is why I go there — love to see what the cooks will come up with next. The Menu is comprehensive and can be overwhelming to someone who has never eaten there — but for the people who go there often, like me, you know the items that this place truly does the best. I am also impressed that Café on the Common has stayed strong — many other breakfast places have come and gone in Mansfield — but this is a destination place and has remained strong. I love the Eggs Benedict dishes — from traditional to the specials — you name it, they will do it. I love the Prime Rib Eggs Benedict, Crab Cake version, to just Tomatoes, Cheese and Eggs topped on the English muffin. Food is consistent and plentiful. Watch out for Pancakes — the cover the plate and often I have seen people order one in addition to another breakfast item and are shocked at the size of it. Service can be a little rushed and impersonal — but considering an open table is at a premium — I will give them a pass on this one. Coffee is always flowing and the atmosphere is buzzing. Be prepared to be in a line if you go on Saturday or Sunday — but it is worth it. Parking can be the other challenge — the street fills up quick — so you may have to park at City Hall or the street next to it and walk a bit. The place could use a remodel(or at least find something to hang on the walls — like photo’s of destination or historical places in Mansfield would be nice) — it’s a little plain and has been the same for years. But you go for the food and quickly get wrapped up into the busy atmosphere and before you know it — you are done.

Great breakfast spot! I enjoyed the eggs Benedict with crab cakes instead of ham. If you want a more healthful side, I recommend trying the baked beans instead of home fries; they have a tasty, slightly tangy flavor. Service is prompt. The food is yummy. The facility is clean and bright. What’s not to like?

Loved our breakfast at the Café. I got the steak tips and was amazed at the tangy teriyaki style flavor. Much tastier than I expected for a steak and eggs breakfast. The sausage options in the no carb breakfast was also wonderful. Definitely kid friendly as well. Lots of room and fast friendly service.

I’m one of those weird people who doesn’t really like breakfast food. It’s always been a little bit of an issue, the fact that I won’t eat eggs or sausage, and that bacon is gross to me, mostly because other humans like those things so very much. So, when I go out to breakfast, I have to hope for some decent pancake options. Some places have a couple pancake plates, or a single waffle you can order, virtually no place is smart enough to offer multiple variations of both, which is odd because you don’t have to be all that creative to come up with variations of pancakes using things you’re already stocking in your kitchen. For example: Sweet & Sour Pancakes! They were really delicious! Cranberries and blueberries, together at last! That option was a lot more interesting than a simple blueberry pancake, and they were kinda perfect– fluffy and large and delicious! I ate almost 2 ½ pancakes, a personal record. My hubs got one of the specials, the Meatloaf Omelette. He loved it as well! So the food was fantastic, that’s clear! The staff was also friendly, fast and attentive. This is a great spot to hit up for a quick and filling breakfast any day of the week!

I can’t wait to come back here. Food was what you want, like you’ve cooked breakfast for yourself and you were satisfied with it. I had the No Carb Breakfast, asked for it in am omelette and with the sausage, kielbasa etc… diced and put in it and it was perfect! Everything at the table was perfect. The waitress. Was awesome from the second she approached our table. It was like we had known her before. One of the best things about our time there was her. Good staff, good food and decent prices.
