I was surprised to find this place in Storrs. It is a little slice of California right in the heart of Storrs CT. The salads and sandwiches are excellent, they have a wide range of baked goods(gluten free) that are delicious. They also have a non perishable pantry and toiletries, household items that are similar to Willimantic Co-Op, with less selection but really good if you need to pick up something quick. For example, very delicious, high end organic chocolate, candies, etc, hand printed cool t shirts, lots of essential oils, etc. I would highly recommend. The quality of the sandwiches, smoothies, soups, baked goods rival some very expensive and trendy vegan places in Cambridge, NYC, California, etc. Check them out! Its going to be my new lunch spot.

I really wanted to check out this place and have an early lunch from their deli. I walked in around 11 this past Thursday and was the only one in the store. Literally the only one in the store. I walked around for about 10 minutes and stood by the deli for about a minute before it was just too weird and I left. Never seeing any employee the whole time.

Stopped in on a whim here on a Sunday with my girlfriend and was pleasantly surprised to see how big it is on the inside compared to how it looks. They have a modest but varied selection of a lot of the types of products I look for(GF, Preservative Free, Paleo, etc). Then in the back they have a deli/bakery and there are even places to sit and hang out while you eat. The selection of foods leans more towards vegan but not exclusively. I wasn’t terribly hungry but I did grab a smoothie which was delicious. I do wish there were a few more food options with a bit more meat to them, but other than that I can definitely see myself returning here every week or two to restock my paleo kitchen, check out their creative selection of baked goods/food or just to grab a smoothie.

Lots of healthy foods found here, though the selection of dry/shelf-stable goods greatly outdoes the number of refrigerated or frozen goods. They sell local, free-range eggs here, which is awesome. There’s also a nice café inside, where you can order naturally-made deli-type items, smoothies, coffee, tea, etc. The only downside is the downside of nearly every health food store: It’s so d*** expensive.
