This restaurant is beautiful. They chose great furniture and they decorate the space with unique art that I just love. The silverware artist in particular that created silverware«people» to hold salt and pepper. So cute. The service is also really great. They are almost always authentic and outgoing. A couple make honest suggestions when you ask about menu items. I like honest. Occasionally, a server is crabby but still good. I like authentic, super nice comes across to me as super phony. I like my waitstaff human and good at their jobs. Here’s what I have noticed about the food. Most of it is good and some of it is great. Their homemade toasts are bomb, truly. Their muffins, meh. They choose the blandest flavors and I have been in around a dozen times and have never heard the featured muffin and been like, «oh yeah, I will forgo my benedict or my bangin’ pile of gravy for that muffin». It’s usually like, banana nut or cranberry nut or made from organic tree bark. Yawn. Give me a chocolate chip banana or an apple crumb or, geez, anything that doesn’t sound like granola. I like my muffins bad for me, thank you. The bland: Their hollandaise. The unfortunate muffin flavor choices Their pancakes are average; I had banana nut and the bananas were not ripe enough and I didn’t love the pecans(I can’t remember now but I think they don’t have walnuts). The good: I don’t usually like homefries(I am a hashbrown girl all the way) but theirs are good. The great: Sausage gravy; they do breakfast piles and this is a really decadent breakfast option. I can efficiently put it all in my face. They cook their eggs correctly to temperature; this is a big deal because most CT diners can’t manage this. The Cinnamon toast; yes, please. Wish I lived more local, my grad school UCONN days have recently ended so I won’t be around anymore. All the best, Toast, be flexible and be great!

This is a great brunch place. Whether you’re hungover and looking for a bite or looking for something classier/romantic, this is the place to go. Definitely a place to go for Valentine’s Brunch. There is nothing like this place in the area– they offer normal breakfast food with southern inspired twists(biscuits and gravy, chicken and waffles, etc). The interior is bright and yellow, which really lightens the place up and the walls are filled with UConn and FSU memorabilia. The seating and environment are really welcoming. The hostess is great and I think the owner works alongside with his employees(he has a presence in the restaurant) which really gives the place a locally-owned vibe. Definitely someplace I’d recommend/try again.

Absolutely great! Outstanding food, good selections, abundant portions, can’t say enough good things about this place that is barely 6 months into their business success! Try the homemade jam!

The food was good, but it took nearly 45 minutes to get it. Breakfast food should take no longer than 20 minutes. The prices are also way too high. Staff was friendly. 3⁄5

Best breakfast place in the area(lived in Willington for past 3 years). First time there today and it was a very nice, new looking establishment. I asked if they could make something different but similar to their«Pile»; they obliged and it was amazing. We called it the«JD Heap» and it consisted of a biscuit with home fries, eggs, bacon, cheese, and sausage gravy over the top. Guaranteed to fill you up and be delicious! I assure you it’s worth the trip just to try it. :) All in all, it was a great atmosphere. The wait staff and John the owner were all great and had a good sense of humor. I will be frequenting Toast for sure.

Great food and cute atmosphere. Fried chicken there is awesome. I have been there numerous of times for to go orders and even when I order the same item, I pay a different price each time. It gets annoying

Wonderful, clean and Quant breakfast & lunch nook just west of the Rte 44&195 intersection. For lunch we enjoyed a tasty cup of homemade chili, and over roasted turkey sandwich. My friend enjoyed her Angus burger, fries with lettuce & tomato. Our waitress Emily, was terrific) They had a good crowd on a Wednesday afternoon! Don’t forget to say hi to John, the owner.

Cute place and atmosphere. We waited an extremely long time but the food is cheap. I got the special of the day, pumpkin French toast. It didn’t taste like pumpkin and was extremely dry. I wouldn’t get it again but my friends had a western egg sandwich and said it was good. They don’t serve lunch on the weekends and local maple syrup is extra. The service is also really slow but they just opened so I’ll give them 4 stars because it’s really busy and people seem to enjoy it.
