Wally’s Chicken Coop

My girlfriend called to order for delivery from here. They took her order and address and gave her the time frame. She got home expecting (disgustingly dry and poorly prepared) bits and puds, but instead had to call because her order was not yet here. They said she was outside of the delivery radius. Okay, fine. But we ordered from here before and they delivered. And you couldn’t have told us that when we called you? What kind of business is this? I’d give them less than a star if I could. Save your money and get real food instead.

I HATE it when they put iced drink under hot food. When the delivery gets here everything is COLD.

Came to visit UCONN for a day for a conference. Since Mansfield isn’t on their Unilocal game, my friends and I asked a few students what their go-​to joint was… and it led us here.
Upon entering this small joint, there was a wave of college frat-​looking boys, lol. The fact that it was pretty crowded led me to believe we came to the right place. There are only 3 little tables to eat on, but most of the guys ate standing up, on the counter top.
At first glance of the menu, the burgers and chicken bits stood out to me. I ordered «The Wally» with Puds– puds are heavenly little potatos filled with like mashed potatoes. They were by far my favorite part of the menu. The chicken bits were fried and delicous as well. They ask you if you want seasoning, and do yourself a favor and say yes! It makes your meal 5x tastier.
The reason it’s getting 3 stars instead of 4 is because they forgot me and my friend’s meal (there were 3 of us and only my friend got his burger, the 2 of us with the chicken bits didnt get our order)… we sat there for almost 30 minutes, and by the 15 min mark my friends and i were the only ones in the restaurant… like, cmon. We thought it was taking a wbile bc my friend oredered an XL order… nope asked them about it and they completely forgot. Didn’t even apologize for it… smh.
In conclusion, food was good. Customer service, not so much (except for the tall, muscular built guy… he was super nice and even gave us some extra food while we waited, but he left around the 10min mark).

Been here a handful of times. I like their selection of food but it’s seriously a hit or miss. Let me explain.
Of all the choices I’ve gotten the mini with puds the most. The chicken bites are thick cut squares that are fried. The flavor is good but sometimes it comes out very rubbery. As for the puds, they are phenomenal if cooked correctly. Mash potatoes in the middle that should have a light/​crispy batter on the outside after frying. I don’t know if the oil is not hot enough, not changed enough or if the puds are not cooked long enough but they came out drenched in oil and mushy a few times. If they come out crispy, they are awesome with seasoning and ketchup.
I’ve also gotten a Boars Head turkey sandwich with chipotle mayo. Huge portion and very tasty. No complaints here since nothing is fried.
