This save mart is so
Expensive maybe it’s all save marts but it’s so expensive double the cost then other food stores but it’s close to where I live so I will keep taking it up the rear. The customers in this store make me feel like I live in the ghetto, so maybe I do. My review is based on the prices and the other shoppers and people asking for money outside.

I really dislike this save-​mart their customer service is horrible and any mothers who are being help with WIC I suggest you do you’re WIC shopping at rayley’s or save way or even food for less they offer more options and organic options for you’re infants, self there not trying to sell their brand items which is ridiculous because we have the right to purchase practically any healthily product that is high in vitamins and fresh. That store wants to dictate what they sell. So I say to them fuck off I rather go to any other local grocery store then theirs.

The customer service at this SaveMart is wonderful. There are newer, cheaper stores to shop at but the great customer service is what brings me back.

I hope no one experiences the following.
I would give this store’s department zero stars, because that’s what has truly been earned.
I ordered a cake from the bakery department, a general multicolor confetti cake for my daughter’s 4^th birthday party. I ordered it Wednesday, and was reassured that it would be ready to go by Friday. It was, but when I saw the cake I ordered, I was utterly discgusted and so angry that I asked to speak with management immediately.
Either the bakery department has someone that is lazy, or shouldn’t be working in the bakery because my four year old could writes better than that! I ordered a ¹⁄₈ sheet confetti cake (square), and asked for «Happy birthday —(name confidential)» be written as professionally as they claim to be on the cake. Instead, what I got was a total mess! The «H» on happy was nearly a good half inch into the margin of the cake. At the end if the cake, whether the border of the cake ended, Happt Birthday was cut off by «d-​a-​y» stacked on top of it.
The manager was called, she immediately apologized and scraped off the writing, re-​wrote it and gave me an extreme lazy version of what my cake should have looked like. What a joke! They didn’t even try!
I’m extremely disappointed, but the coordinating decorations were already purchased and there was NO TIME to re-​do the cake. I do have photos, and I’m appalled at the inexcusable and unprofessional demeanor of the bakery department.
According to several Unilocal reviews, this is a common problem that remains undealt with, so management should either step up and deal with the problem or get out of the way and allow someone else to hold their staff accountable when customers pay good money for a cake.
They ought to be ashamed of themselves! Several others that were in line to get a cake also took a peak at mine and agreed that they wouldn’t accept such a cheap and crappy job. To the bakery department: SHAME ON YOU!
BEWARE, MANTECA! The other SaveMart has a much better reputation. However, I doubt I’d gamble with any Save Mart ever again.
I would appreciate an apology from the staff in that department. Quite frankly, none of them seemed to even care. I find that even more of an outrage. I will never purchase a cake from this department again l, and I’m sharing the same with as many friends and family as possible in hopes that they can avoid the inexcusable error that never should have happened.
The date of my visit to pick up my cake was 8÷8÷2014.

I’ve looked at a couple Save Mart stores already and they’re just really expensive for what I buy. However, I’ll be back as this seems to be the only place in town that has my House Foods tofu. It’s quite a bit higher than I had normally paid and if I’d bought it in a Japanese or Korean market, which are typically high, it would be even more of a bargain than here.
I was shocked that the Bolthouse Farms Mocha Cappucino for which I normally pay $ 3.99 was $ 5.99 here. That’s practically a Walgreens/​CVS price. I’ve seen it for $ 4.49 elsewhere, which I would have paid in a pinch but $ 2.00 more? I don’t think so.
The store is clean, but it should be for these prices. I was surprised when I found three people working on putting up hot dogs and other sausages. I guess that’s a great way to get it done quickly. They were surprisingly not talking.
It seems okay, but I would only shop here for any item I couldn’t find anywhere else.

Oh boy… this is the second time I’ve had this location do a birthday cake and again, they screwed it up. You’d think I would’ve learned from the first time! So, on the first go round (about 2 years ago), I had them make a birthday cake for my son decorated with SpongeBob. When we got it, I swear it looked like it belonged on that cake wrecks site! It was laughable! The writing was all messy, drippy and looked like someone decorated the cake using their feet instead of their hands. It was such a joke. Okay, so I thought I’d give it another try for my daughter’s cake today. I went in Wednesday (3 days prior to when I needed it) and placed my order. I asked for the Despicable Me cake for her. The woman who wrote down my order seemed kind of flaky. She started walking away before she even asked what day and time I wanted to pick it up! Aside from that, she said they did not have the Despicable Me kit for the cake, but that she’d call another location to see if they had it. She came back and told us that yes, the other location had one and some woman employee would bring it over later that day. Then I get the phone call this morning; we don’t have the kit after all. The lady that called me said she checked with 3 different locations and no one had it, but that they did have an edible picture of DM2 they could place on the cake instead. Like I told her, what choice did I have? I already bought the decorations, so what can I do? What irritates me is that no one bothered to follow up on this to confirm that they had the kit to make the cake BEFORE the day they had to have it ready. No one seemed capable of doing this apparently.
So we pick up the cake and at first it looks alright. When we slice into it, we find shards of thin, hard plastic on 4 different places on the cake. Great… Everyone went ahead and ate it. It was nasty! There is no way that cake was fresh. None. It tasted dry and old. Also, I had asked for chocolate cake with vanilla custard in the middle, what a laugh! The middle, apparently is about ¼ from the top and consists of an extremely thin layer of vanilla custard.
Never, EVER again! The third time will not be the charm, because there will never be a third time. Seriously, do not purchase your birthday cakes from Savemart. Even Wal-​Mart had a better quality of birthday cakes. Our daughter’s last year was fresh, moist and tasted great!

The produce is never fresh, waits are always long. If it weren’t for the fact that it is around the corner from my house I would likely never shop here.
