The Hope Chest Thrift Store

Their selection of books is pretty good & I recently shopped their .10 book sale all week. Their clothing can be sometimes be a little over priced but majority of the time I can find something for a good deal. The workers/​volunteer are usually helpful or nice, never encountered a problem. I like checking this place out every couple of weeks because they always have lots of different items they’re putting out. The furniture deals are cool too. Overall nice place!

My family comes to this thrift shop at least once a week. Good deals can be found. I love the huge book collection to look through. The prices are pretty great too, totally reasonable for used treasures!

The store is dirty & their prices are ridiculous. I’m not sure if their under new management or what. Because, it was never this bad. I’ve also noticed that they raise prices on certain items while those items happen to be discounted that day. shame on you HOPE CHEST!

I really like this place. I always find cool knick knacks. They carry a wide range of items and there’s always a coupon in the pennysaver each month. Bumping a star, because the building is very old and it smells musty inside. :-/

Great selection and very clean. They have just about everything here. Very good prices too and always have sales.

This has to be my favorite thrift store and the penny saver always has a 25% coupon in it that I always use!
The staff is always upbeat and very sweet.
I stop in all the time and always leave with something.
Got lucky on one item there for $ 14 that is actually worth $ 300 I later found out ;)

I’m not really a thrift store shopper, however, this place is very impressive. It has such a huge variety of anything you can think of. It was one of the larger thrift stores I’ve ever seen. Great deals and the staff was very helpful!

Lots of clothing and good deals. The coupon in the pennysaver keeps me coming back! Store is a bit on the dirtier side, but jam packed with good stuff! I have found some very unique pieces of art and household items in this store.

Nice thrift store. Lots of clothes and misc. Items. Furniture is WAY over priced. I wouldn’t recommend looking for furniture there. Remember they have coupons online and in pennysaver, so it’ll help if you bring it with you.

My go-​to place when I’m starting a new art project. I love digging through the many used items they have in their show room. The smell is musty as with all thrift stores but you eventually get used to it.
I love how they put all the holiday items for that time right out front so you don’t have to go looking for it, so at the moment they have Easter items right on display when you walk in. Their selection of glassware is pretty good. I’ve gotten whole sets of tea cups that I needed for my nieces tea party for a really good price. Since I am a collector of various coffee mugs I like to make a beeline for that section which is already separated from the regular cups/​glasses. I usually can buy several skeins here for a good price, and various decorations.
The book/​movie section is well managed and it’s fairly easy to locate a book you may be interested in. Workers are always friendly and in a good mood. The prices are good and for $ 10 you can walk out with a lot of items. I unfortunately forget about this place. I need to start making a weekly trip, I would love to score some of their good furniture and refurbish it.

I would give five stars except for the one wall of plastic kitchen ware stuff that is really too jam packed and cluttered to be able to dig through to see what is in there. The staff is GREAT. Very attentive to my kids wanting to see stuff in the cases, very very nice girls. And the cashier was great, really pushed the online coupons and when I said I didn’t even know they had coupons she pulled one out from under the counter for me, so bonus 25% off. She also took the time to subtotal everything between my kids piles so we could keep track of how much they were each spending. Good selection of toddler clothes, very fair priced. Will be back for sure.

My favorite thrift shop! Good deals, great variety of items. They price reasonably unlike goodwill. They have special deals like… Everyday. Absolutely the best in town!

As far as this town goes, we are lucky to have them. They have a very well stocked store, plenty of employees who are pleasant when approached, and there is always plenty of happy chatter going on in the store among shoppers and staff. And, some of the more hard to find dinnerware or glassware, they have plenty. As well as good quality art work, and books, not to mention plenty of furniture pieces. Prices are a bit high, but you are getting a lot for your money, in my opinion.
