If they have it as a special, order the seafood over risotto. It’s shrimp, crab, lobster and asparagus on the best risotto. This is a BYOB so bring your own. Very unassuming restaurant. Do NOT under-estimate it however.

This is a great restaurant for lunch. I ordered the pistachio encrusted salmon salad. It was delicious. I love the pistachio theme of the restaurant. The service was great. There’s a lot of natural light coming into the restaurant. I want to go back for dinner to see what it’s like at night time. I’m glad that my coworker and I stumbled on this place before a meeting in the area.

It was«ok», the fries are AWSOME and the reason for the stars. I had a Reuben, not really flavorful. It was a special… would have had more seasoning or more 1000 island dressing. The burger per my sister was ok(blue burger). Again, the fries are AWSOME.

A great place for a great dinner that feels like you are in the city. Stuffed pork chop was excellent. And leave room for the peanut butter pie… I NEVER order dessert but well worth every calorie!!!

Portions are small prices are high. Service and food are Hit and miss at best, been there before a few times, but not going back.

This restaurant rocks. My review is a few weeks late. First, service was excellent. Waitress and Kitchen were great with 2 allergies at my table olive oil and gluten. The roasted papers and garlic that comes out with the bread is to die for. My app was a seafood wedge. Ok I’m a Chef and appreciate food done right. The seafood was perfectly cooked. Shrimp and scallop was spot on perfect. The dressing was amazing. I usually hate dusted plates But the Chile powder was perfect for a bit of kick. My veal for dinner was to die for. I also tasted a few other dishes of my family’s dinner. Short ribs were excellent. But being I cooked with Gordon Ramsey and know how to cook a risotto. I have to say first time I had risotto out and it was perfect. MY hat off to the Chef, kitchen management and staff. This place is a gem. My favorite restaurant in Montgomery County. Being a native NYER this restaurant would do well there. Thank You

My husband and I ate here last night for the first time; we went with two friends who had been before. We were very impressed and happy to have found the place. I was surprised to read a review about bad service(only one); we thought the service was excellent. I noticed and appreciated the manager and another guy walking thru the dinning room frequently, looking for anyone who needed anything. Another review said they felt just a bit rushed; I understand what you mean but my husband told the waiter that we wanted to sit for a few between dinner and desert, and he was absolutely fine with that, no pressure. I would not call the food«authentic» Italian, but I’m from New York. I did think the food was very good, innovative and very flavorful. Overall we had an excellent experience(love that it’s byob!!). We will definitely go back.

The waiter was rude. The food is overpriced. They up charge splitting a salad. we said we would share the salad from the same plate(the 12 $ Caesar salad) instead of paying an extra 2 dollars to put in two plates. It was 3 $ extra for anchovies. The 12 $ salad ended up being 15 $ with the added anchovies. The shrimp ravioli I got was good but not worth 25 $. The waiter had no table side manner. Last time I go there.

This is a wonderful neighborhood place, not too casual, not too uptight. Generous portions; appetizers and salads especially so. No corkage, attentive service. Might benefit from a minor pause in delivery of courses, we felt just a wee bit rushed. Delicious, inventive, well-seasoned dishes make this a must-visit place in Montgomery county.

Great food. excellent service. Mark was our server and did a great job. Every thing came out hot and didn’t have to wait a long time. We had a Groupon but will be back even without the discount. Soup and salad were enough to share. Lobster Mac and cheese had large pieces of lobster.

Food always very good and service is as well. It’s a local BYOB which is great. Disappointed that they no longer accepted certificate given to me by sister. He was apologetic but one of the reasons I came was to finally use it. Grilled peppers provided complentary are very good. Prices a little higher than normal for area. Ordered fish tacos as appetizer and enjoyed. Also ordered spinach and eggplant ravioli. .homemade and good.

Nice BYOB! We went on a Sunday night for dinner using a Living Social voucher. The menu had a nice variety which include choices that really showcased their culinary versatility and creativity. The service was very good. Our appetizer was a nod to an childhood dish of pork n beans but taken up a notch. I had a scallop risotto dish that was good, not the best I ever had but it was good. My boyfriend had a delicious stuffed pork chop dish, very tasty. For dessert we had a berry cobbler, you could taste the freshness of the fruits. It is located in a residential neighborhood, I can tell that it is a favorite of the locals. I would visit here again.

I have been there before but today t he service was horrible, one waiter. He never came over to see if we needed refills. They had no potato chips so they gave us fries. Skimpy portion. There were several items on the menu that they didn’t have. Bathroom also was filthy. Not sure if I will be going back there after today

I am a big fan of Pistachio Grille! BYOB, very nice décor(recently renovated a little), good service and very good food! Although the prices are a little high, the food is quality so I do not mind! They always have great specials, but some of my favorite dishes are the gnocchis, encrusted filet special and the ahi tuna entrée. If you are going on a Fri or Sat night, I recommend reservations.

BYOB! My friends and I visited Pistachio last saturday night. We were a party of 9 and they were able to accommodate our reservation with no problem. The waitress and staff was very attentive from the time we sat down until the time we left. Our water was always refilled, which is very important to me since I drink a lot when I eat. The portions of the salads and entrees are nice size portions! My fiancé and I shared a salad and an entrée and were satisfied. We ate the spinach salad, which has portobella mushrooms, candied pistachios, dried figs, and goat cheese. This was delicious! For our entrée we at the special, which was a short rib over a cheesy risotto. It was delicious! The short rib meat was so tender and the risotto had so much flavor! Yum!

Had a groupon and went here to celebrate my husbands birthday. I had the lobster/crab bisque which was very good! hubby got the have it your way mushroom appetizer. It was ok but had too much tomato in it for my liking. We ordered the rack of lamb and scallops as our main course. The food was delicious, my only complaint was that it could have been hotter. Our side plate of vegetables were lukewarm at best. There was a separate sheet given to us with the specials listed. No prices were listed only to find out the specials were about $ 35 each. I think we would go back if it were not for the cost. Our total bill for 2 Apps and 2 Entrees was $ 87. We drank water and decided to have dessert at home. The atmosphere was nice and the place was busy. Our waitress was very nice but she had a lot of tables to serve. It’s a nice place to go but I’m not sure if we would go back.

First of all, I loved the food that I had here. The only reason I am giving 3 stars(rather than 4 or even 5) is because of the service. As some of the other reviews I read have stated, this place has a lot of potential! It is a very cute BYOB, with reasonable prices. I had the gnocchi, which was good. We also ordered the asparagus tempura appetizer, also a delicious choice. Lastly, I had the chocolate molten cake for dessert — another hit. However, one waitress was serving the entire restaurant, which was 10 – 15 tables. She was a decent enough waitress… but she barely greeted us and forgot to take our drink orders. We had to order drinks from the hostess, who we also had to ask for our check. Our water was also never refilled, even though we both finished ours before we received our meals — and didn’t have any other drinks(until halfway through the meal when we ordered from the hostess). Not refilling water is my biggest pet peeve at any restaurant. Unless they were short staffed this day, they really need to hire someone other than the hostess to take care of bussing tables and filling water glasses! Basically, I’d highly recommend it for the food, but don’t expect great service.

It started with a reservation for 2 — I was told by the hostess that she had a 6:00 available but we would need to be out by 7:00. Seriously? I took a 5:30 only because my groupon expired the next day. We arrived on time and the place was empty. The waitress was friendly, a few slices of cold Italian bread arrived with a nice roasted pepper and some hard sweetened butter. The food arrived eventually with a beautiful presentation. Unfortunately the taste did not match — in fact there was no flavor at all, I guess the kitchen ran out of salt. The price was outrageous. For one appetizer, two main dishes, and two iced teas $ 85.00 before the tip. Even with my $ 25. Groupon savings I felt overcharged.

There is a lot of potential here. A few things I’d mention, if I thought management would hear them… A laminated menu — with a laminated card of specials — then an audible as to which of those specials weren’t available? Spend the $ 6.34 and print up tonight’s specials 14 times on some 8.5×11″ as hand outs. Service was attentive, just what I want, but it’s things like… why was my coffee cup on a china saucer — and my dinner on a plastic plate? simple stuff like that — easy to fix. Oh, srsly — Mini Moos? Irradiated coffee creamer? What’s a quart of half and half cost? and a few mini pitchers ? simple details — make so much difference…

I went here with my husband for a recent date night. We are always looking for a good byob. We made a reservations for 8pm on a Friday. We arrived and the restaurant was 90% full. We were greeted right away and only had to wait a couple minutes to be seated. We were greeted a little under 10 minutes later. Thankfully our wine was screw top. :) We both ordered items that were specials of the day. I ordered the swordfish topped with crab and my husband ordered the tilapia topped with crab. Both were served with roasted vegetables. The vegetables were lukewarm but had some good flavor. My swordfish was bland. I enjoyed my husbands dish more. The tilapia was topped with creamy crab, where as mine was a little dry. Overall the meal was decent, but with it being about 30 minutes away, I’m not sure how often we would return. The food was good, but not memorable.
