These guys should know my name by now. With good food, correct orders and delivery every time, and coupons galore on the iphone app, I really jive with this place as far as pizza delivery goes. On top of that, there was a day that I called up to be sure my driver recieved his tip(these are just things that drunk me tend to do). The next day there was a knock at my door. It was the dominoes delivery man, who printed off an extra copy of my receipt just so I knew what I had payed. So super nice of them. Awesome service through delivery, five stars for sure in that one. I never pick up in store.

Domino’s I used to think you weren’t half-bad — it has been several years since I have gotten pizza here… The husband picked up two mediums for under 20.00 and brought them home. I ate it like a demon possessed me as I was that hungry… My main problem is the crust was just a little soggy on the top half right under the cheese so I think it needed to be cooked just a tad longer or perhaps they were a little heavy handed with the sauce that evening on my pizza… Overall the crust and price and flavor were okay…

True to my word, we went with their deep dish this time. When I think deep dish, I envision over and inch of toppings, cheese, and sauce… this was not that. Domino’s deep dish is rather miss leading, they need to call it pan pizza because that’s what it is. The biggest difference from the hand tossed to the«deep dish» was the crust was super thick all the way to the center. The amount of toppings was about the same. The super thick crust is seasoned pretty well, it tastes like their garlic bread with pizza toppings and cheese. Not a half bad PAN pizza, but I think I’ll stick with their hand tossed crust.

So Dominos has a new pizza recipe. Of course you already knew that, because you don’t live under a rock! Personally, I think it’s pretty good. Is it the best pizza I’ve had in my life? No.(Giordano’s in Chicago gets that prize!) But it’s pretty damn good for delivery. I ordered two medium, 2 topping pizzas and cheesy bread last night, and the total, including tip, came to under $ 20. You really can’t beat that. You really can’t. Okay, so the cheesy bread was free(thank you, Dominos reward points!), but it’s still really cheap. If it’s a snowy night or you otherwise don’t feel like venturing out for food, Dominos is a pretty decent option.

First, let me just say that for the most part I’m not a fan of someone reviewing a chain restaurant, particularly one as prolific as Dominos. So why am I reviewing this one? Glad you asked. First, Dominos pizza is pretty much the same wherever you are so this is not a review of their pizza. What it IS a review of is this particular location. Out of 5 completely separate orders spread over a period of several months, guess how many actually went off without a hitch? One. That’s it. Just one. From being completely forgotten, to the wrong toppings, to a pizza that left the store and didn’t arrive to my house for over an hour, it’s just a constant stream of issues. So much so that I felt the need to post this review. OK, done, I’ve vented now. p. s. — I appreciate the fact that none of you stopped to ask me why my stupid ass continued placing orders with them after the first couple of mishaps. Or why I was ordering from them in the first place since I can literally walk to Racanelli’s. That was mighty decent of you.
