This is a great little gem in great harvest bread company. It smells so good in their from the bakery and coffee. The coffee is high quality and they have a really fancy looking roaster. They did a special brew that uses french press and drip style called clever drip.

Less hype, less pretension, better prices, and locally roasted coffee that is as good as you will find. La Cosecha is where I’ve been going to buy beans since they opened more than a year ago. They roast in small batches on a no nonsense Diedrich drum roaster. They cover the spectrum of flavor profiles with around five regular roasts(only one of which tends to be a blend) and one decaf from which to choose. Most of the time the first cup you brew when you get home was roasted within the week. The complexity of the flavors comes through, not only because of freshness, but also because they keep the roasts medium or lighter. You can have a clear conscience about drinking coffee that tastes so good because LC compensates all their farmers at Fair Trade certified prices or better. The space is small and unassuming.(They sublet from Great Harvest bakery.) There are a few tables available, but if you’re looking to set up shop somewhere for a few hours this is not the place. Also, I cannot speak to the quality of the espresso drinks as I have not tried them. I can only observe in passing that the baristas put on less of a show than those at places like Blueprint or Sump. Lastly, be sure to grab a punch card with your purchase. Every 7th pound is free. Also, every pound comes with a free cup of coffee for the road. That’s how you secure loyalty!

Great café au lait and you can’t beat the smell of fresh baked bread from great harvest wafting through the air. Friendly service

Fantastic coffee and friendly service. The coffee shop is attached to Great Harvest Bakery which is also delicious. We always have a great experience when we go here. I got an iced mocha and it was very well made. Always worth the stop. The only issue is sometimes they are closed(after work). But I just work it into my schedule when I can.

Excellent coffee, great prices on beans, and its one of the few places that will sell you green beans(for roasting) at a discounted price. The employees are very knowledgable and extremely friendly. There isn’t a lot of space to work but there is some, the coffee is worth the stop even if you are just getting it to go.

I visited La Cosecha Coffee Roasters on a Sunday afternoon to meet a friend for coffee. I ordered the«Buddy the Elf Mocha» which was a seasonal specialty drink. It was an espresso drink that included maple syrup and was very tasty and creative! It also sparked quite a bit of energy in me that I was able to get all of errands finished later that afternoon! Staff was SUPER friendly as well! Can’t wait to visit again and try their other drinks!

Friendly staff gets them 3 Stars, the weak coffee gets them a 2. I ordered Buddy The Elf Mocha and it was the most flavorless and bland coffee drink I have ever drank. How can an espresso drink with steamed milk, dark chocolate sauce and maple spice syrup topped with whipping cream have no flavor? Not one of those flavors came through the entire drink. They either forgot to add ingredients, or they were using old stale ingredients. There are many other places to get a latte or mocha on Manchester, so I suggest you stroll up or down the road and get your caffeine fix elsewhere.

This place is really great. They have some really delicious specials and they are always fast and super friendly. My go to coffee spot on the way to work!

We Maplewoodians are blessed and highly favored when it comes to coffee shops. From the Kuva brew at Strange Donuts to the absolutely genius frozen coffee ice cubes at Foundation Grounds to whatever the hell goes on at Stone Spiral… it’s easy to find a good cup of coffee in the 63143. But my Excellence in Caffeination Award has to go to La Cosecha. This itty bitty, unassuming little shop churns out some of the best basics and some more fun creations when I’m feeling like Starbucks, but don’t want to admit I like Starbucks. Today’s creation was called«Buddy the Elf». Two shots of espresso, maple syrup and chocolate syrup. 4 stars for the reference. 5 stars for keeping me sailing through meetings well into the afternoon on a 28 degree Wednesday. I like this place because it’s not snobbish. It’s all good. It’s all quality. Everyone’s friendly. The whole place smells like cinnamon rolls. Just the way the Good Lord intended.

Great coffee and even greater staff. Everyone is super friendly and they know their beans. They are part of my morning routine. Look for the blue awning. They are inside great harvest.

I ventured here with my wife when we needed to kill some time and just grab something to drink/eat. The coffee shop is connected to the Great Harvest Bread Company, which is a perfect compliment to the coffee shop. The coffee shop is on the smaller side, there are about 5 or 6 small table and small bar area in the back. It looked like this was more of a quick pit stop for the regulars. They came in, knowing exactly what they wanted, and left immediately after getting their coffee. I got their normal latte and really enjoyed it. I’m not a coffee connoisseur by any means, but I felt like the flavor and quality of a good cup of coffee was there.(They also used fair trade coffee which is a plus!) Definitely would come back again if I was in the area.

This adorable little coffee shop shares a space with Great Harvest Bread Company, which other reviewers pointed out(and helped me find the place!). They’ve made great use of the space and seem to really complement each other(and the smells that hit you walking in are amazing). Our barista was friendly and I really enjoyed my mocha. I love that the coffee beans are fair trade and that they roast everything themselves. That big metal machine behind the counter isn’t just an awesome piece of décor, it’s actually functional! You know, I would rather come here than Foundation Grounds(just up the road) because it’s quieter here(the louder it is, the harder it is for me to think/discuss/read/write/study/etc.). If I lived in the area, this would probably be my go to spot for coffee with friends.

no complaints. nothing to rave about either. if a basic requirement for you is fresh roaster coffee, go here. dont expect much else. for some that just want a good black coffee, you will be pleased. if you want a place to hang out… meh. ++ for carrying african beans. those seem to be their to go-to brews.

This place is really a fantastic find. Is it dripping with mustached bearded dudes that know too much about coffee? Yes, but seriously if you like coffee that is what you need to get it right. Believe the hype this place is awesome. Additionally they have a bread shop in the back which lends to a cool community vibe.

Ridiculously smooth almond milk lattes. Delicious! This is a great place to get some very well-made coffee and do some work on your laptop. It’s pretty quiet and they have free wIfi. Although there is not much in the way of a meal here, it is much more comfortable than the other coffee shops along the street. They let you work in peace with your cup of Joe. I will definitely come back here again to do laptop work in a comfortable, relaxing atmosphere and drink great coffee at a great price.

This review is overdue. You should check this place out if you love coffee. Greg knows his stuff, and makes an awesome latte. Their coffee is excellent. They roast their own beans, and you can even buy some to take home. The other great part about this place is it shares the space with great harvest bread, so you can get a free read sample to go with our drink. I recommend buying a cinnamon roll to go with that latte. You cant go wrong.

Great for coffee, but lacking in atmosphere. I went in today to do some work but I didn’t last long. It was a bit drafty and they were roasting their beans fresh which made my cup of coffee exceptional but my productivity poor. However, I love that they are attached to Great Harvest Maplewood, because the biscotti I purchased to accompany my coffee was awesome! Also, the staff was so friendly. I may return when I just want coffee, but I don’t think it will be a regular stop for me.

It’s easy to miss La Cosecha Coffee — the storefront awning and décor is primarily Great Harvest Bread’s, and it’s located between two long-established coffee joints, Stone Spiral and Foundation Grounds. However, this is the place to go in Maplewood/Richmond Heights if you’re craving an exceptional cuppa. Their flavorful roasts are sure to please aficionados and casual sippers alike, and their espresso bar menu follows suit, with solid, classic espressos and lattes consorting with more worldly offerings like mochas and chais. The folks behind the counter are also super knowledgeable, passionate about their product, and always easy to talk to about, well, just about anything.(My only bone to pick is that I wish they were open later for an afternoon pick-me-up or an evening coffee date. Alas!) Don’t make the mistake of passing this place by! Additionally, with so many coffee+pastry places nearby, La Cosecha/Great Harvest easily has the best combination of both worlds. GH offers a delicious variety of sweet and savory items, baked in-house, and with LC’s stellar coffee, they’re a team not to be beat.

La Cosecha coffee is on my table every morning at breakfast. La Cosecha finds the best beans then roasts them in small batches. Each bag is hand-labelled with a roast date. The Maplewood location has already become my office annex when I’m in between appointments in the area. Of course having Great Harvest bakery 10 steps away doesn’t hurt! Try the European Dark Rye bread and Huckleberry Raspberry Jam with a cup of La Cosecha. Friendliest staff and clients! Everyone talks in there, as if our impersonal, high-speed culture doesn’t exist within those walls — refreshing!

Great place to stop before work to get my coffee & cinnamon roll fix. Love the aroma and the look and feel of the place. The bar by the roaster a great spot to site and catch all the action. Staff is very friendly and knowledgable on all things coffee, especially the topic of fair trade coffee.
