Gone down hill big time. Soups used to be good, now they are just plain nasty. Got the chicken stew and the chicken was fatty and gray and the soup was cold. So gross.

It’s rare that I would rate a sandwich shop because I realize there’s a lot of subjectivity involved. But this was perhaps the worst sandwiches I ever purchased. I wish I could cit d one thing to commend it, but every element of a good sandwich were poor — the bread(sub roll), meat(where was it) and then it was smothered in such much horseradish it was nearly inedible. In a town with so many good sandwich shops(I live here) I cannot understand a rating of 4 stars.

I love manhattan sandwich! They have the best sandwiches! Mickeys #7 and the veggie melts are my favorites. The sandwiches are big maybe a little pricey but much better than any other sandwiches around!

Like most people on here, my go-to is a Mickey #7. Other than that I’ve never disliked anything I’ve had. Great sandwiches and friendly service. There are only a few tables to sit at but it’s never felt over crowded. Good choice of chips and cold beverages too.

Nice portion sizes, delicious meats and breads. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is the dressing on the Reuben’s etc is a tad too sweet.

The food is actually pretty good. Good sized sandwiches. However, I’ve had multiple experiences where my order has been incorrect. They’ve added ingredients when they shouldn’t. Ingredients have been left off. They once completely lost my order. I’ve given they many tries because the sandwiches are good; however, I will be getting sandwiches elsewhere unless they can learn how to get orders correct.

Great place. Fresh, tasty sandwiches. Current home of the $ 9.95 lobster roll & chips special. Can’t say the roll’s the best I’ve had, but it’s more than enough for the price. The one sandwich I’ve had, a turkey and swiss on pumpernickel, was packed with meat and condiments, and made for a filling lunch, best consumed on a boat in Beverly Harbor. That said: I miss Marblehead Munchies.

Chicken salad is out of this world. Great staff, fresh creations and reasonable prices. Check this place out for a great meal.

Yummy! I would come here from home just for lunch if I am craving a real sandwich. None of that premade chain crap, this place has a lot of different kinds of sandwiches to choose from, are quite large and quite delicious. Their coleslaw was also delicious. Oh and they say they use lite mayo in their«salad» sandwiches which is one of the VERY few places I know that does this. Thank the good lawd for catching on finally! Very friendly and very yummy food.

This hidden gem is an absolute must-try if you are in the Marblehead area. Honestly, I don’t think I’ve had a better sandwich. Fresh ingredients, friendly service, and GREAT pickles. Pickles make everything better. Everything. You can get your typical sandwiches, they always have soups and an assortment of salads. But by far, you must try one of their speciality sandwiches! A few of my favorites: The Urban Cowboy: roast beef, potato salad, melted provolone cheese and russian dressing(are you licking your lips? you should be.) $ 5.79(seriously, who said this was overpriced??) Country Club: Triple decker of roast beef or turkey breast, lettuce, tomato, bacon, mayo. Sm is $ 5.79(you really don’t need a large). Liberty Melt: tuna, veggies, melted swiss cheese and russian dressing. Again the small is $ 5.79!!! Nom nom nom. It’s really not an «eat-in» establishment. Take your order to go, for sure! They do deliver, but only until 2:00PM for the lunch crowd in the Marblehead area.

I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this place yet. We often stop here when visiting Marblehead. Sandwiches are great and prices are fair. The service is friendly and efficient. There isn’t much room to eat inside(nor is the atmosphere for indoor dining very appealing). I recommend taking your sandwich to a nearby park(Crocker, Ft. Sewall, etc) or taking your sandwich home. Always good!

I had purchased a coupon from LivingSocial to go toward sandwiches at Manhattan Sandwich Co. and we were very pleased with what we got. I’d go back again when the opportunity presents itself. It’s a little small out of the way place but clean and bright inside. We picked up a couple of sandwiches, soda & chips and headed out to a beach park bench to sit and enjoy out meal picnic style. Pickles were yummy and the sandwiches … Delicious!

Went here today for lunch. Only heard about it because I got a groupon for them about a month ago. So I dragged hubby over to Marblehead to get some grub. The space is small, hidden in a strip mall of sorts in Marblehead, right off 114/Pleasant St. Staff was friendly– both of them. It was quite busy today– I am guessing because it is the first nice Saturday that we have had and everyone is getting out. I got the Chicken Breast Club Sandwich which came on a bulkie roll. You had your choice of dressing– I went with Russian. It was tasty, just the right size and filling. Hubby got a Roast Beef Sandwich from the menu– on marble rye. Don’t remember the name of it but he thought it was tasty. overall good service and food. Only taking one star off because of having only two people working. I think things would have flowed a little better if they had a third ringing people up and answering the phone instead of the one employee doing all three while the other made sandwiches. And for the price of the sandwich, I think it could have been a little bigger– but hey it is Marblehead :-)

Really great sandwiches! The food is always fresh and delicious. The Mickey’s #7 is my favorite; turkey, coleslaw, melted Swiss and Russian dresssing(also on marble rye as a previous reviewer said). MMMMM They have a great variety of interesting combos plus all the standards. And their pickles are yummy!!!

Mickey’s #7, period. This place has the best sandwiches in Marblehead and maybe the entire North Shore. I have been going to Manhattan for a couple of years and the quality is always good. My favorite is the Mickey’s #7 on Marble Rye — Basically it is a turkey Rachael. I would recommend going with the small sandwich since the whole is pretty large. They used to have a location Swampscott also but it is now closed.

Great sandwiches! I have become a full on Rachel(Reuben with coleslaw instead of sauerkraut) addict, and this is easily one of my favorite places to get them. Staff is friendly, and they are *not* skimpy with stuffing their sandwiches — my guy and I sometimes split one and it’s more than enough. They also get bonus points for serving really tasty pickles with their sandwiches. There are a few tables to sit at, but the restaurant is small and cramped with not much atmosphere to speak of. I recommend placing your order to go, and eating your delicious sandwich either in the comfort of your own home, or having a little picnic at one of Marblehead’s many scenic spots.
