Consistently delicious food, every time I order out. Tony’s is a great, fast place to grab lunch, and I find myself ordering a sub or salad, and am always pleased. The vegetables in the salad are always fresh, with the lettuce nice and crispy– you can tell it is freshly made. I love the chicken kebab salad($ 7.49), as the chicken is lightly marinated but enough to give it a nice flavor. There is plenty of chicken on the salad, and the feta cheese in addition makes it a filling meal! My other go-to is the turkey sub($ 5.79). The sub rolls are always soft and fresh and I enjoy that they use shredded lettuce with diced tomatoes on the sub. The turkey deli meat is tasty and not slimy as it is at some places. I recommend Tony’s as a great lunch spot! There is booth seating for those looking to eat there rather than take out.

I eat here at least once every two weeks sometimes once a week. Food is always the same which is fresh and tasty. Pizza reminds me of the pizzerias i ate at growing up in a city where they have one every other block or so. Tony is always hard working making pizzas but never to busy to say hello from his cooking area even coming up to us. Keep up the good work! By far the best place in town.

A fantastic local place. This place is hard to beat on any level. I travel way out of the way to come here for the pizza, calzones, and meatballs. The pizza is in my top three(with Regina’s and Engine House). Thin crust, light sauce, fresh ingredients, and not super greasy. The calzone is fantastic especially with the sauce on the side. Tony and his staff(some family) give a real welcoming and authentic atmosphere here. They take care of you. I only wish they were open on Sundays but everyone needs a day off I guess. A real asset to Marblehead.

Solid pizza place. It’s the best pizza in Marblehead according to my children. Usually quick and the food is always good.

Tony, I owe you a big apology. I’ve been here a few times since my first review and the pizza was MUCH better than the first time. I must have hit you on an off night with a new chef who was on drugs the last time I reviewed you. I went back reluctantly, because I was not a fan, only to be pleasantly surprised. You serve up some tasty thin-crust pie. I’ll definitely be back.

Tony’s is the finest pizza restaurant in Marblehead. Thin crusted delicious dough and fine ingredients are the secret. The sauce is never acid — sweet with that authentic Italian flavor, complemented by tasty cheeses and friendly, efficient service. It truly is a family restaurant. Just being there is a delightful experience. I have had pizza in Naples, Italy and Tony’s pizza is like the ones there. We have been going to Tony’s for about 28 years, except for the time that the fire destroyed the building.

As a local I have choices in Marblehead but with Johnny D’s closing I was going to try Tony’s for a calzone. I like it plain– just cheeses. I now know why they don’t have a plain calzone on the menu. It was so bland with just the ricotta mozzarella. Very disappointing. I read the other reviews and I won’t give up but just on the calzone.

I’ve been going to Tony’s sence it first opened, not sence the reopening following the fire, The food is always what you’d expect from a 5 star sit down restuarant, Fresh, Delicious, and Plentiful. Excellent Thin Crust«To Die For» Pizza with many tasty variations, excellent parm’s, Pastas, Salads And on and on. A must Try if you have not been to Tony’s and while your there, your only a minute from the Old Marblehead Waterfront, Take your pie to the wharf and enjoy a Sunset. Mangi!!!

I love this pizza, and have been living on it for 30 plus years! I love visiting and eating the cheese pizza, and my kids also love it. The booths are a bit hard to sit in(no padding) but that doesn’t stop me!

Wow, surprised to see so many negative reviews for Tony’s. Although I must admit, I used to not like Tony’s. Back before the fire, I never went there. Since they re-built my husband has taken me here many times and it is always amazing. He grew up on Tony’s. The only item I didn’t enjoy was the BLT sub I got. Their pizza is amazing. Of course you get the best quality food when Tony is working.

I was looking forward to eating at this place because we walk by it all the time, and it looks friendly inside. Unfortunately, I found the food extremely subpar(cheap, cafeteria-quality), and the service was even worse:(1) they mis-charged us for the special, and, when asked, said they had actually just tacked on the $ 0.50 per cup charge for tap water!, and(2) *they* dropped our credit card between the counter and case, and we had to drive back later that evening to pick it up. For the inconvenience, they offered us nothing — not even free tap-water. We have no reason to return to or recommend this place.

I always enjoy a chicken parm sub and a place to sit and enjoy it. Quick service, decent prices, and a good location in Marblehead. You can even look across the street at all the Caffe Italia diners paying over $ 20 for their chicken parm — ha! Recommended for hot subs — I haven’t tried anything else.

so far i’ve only been there once, so when i go back i’ll try something different and maybe change my rating. i got a meatball sub there and it was the most disgusting thing i’ve ever eaten. i didn’t even finish the other half i threw it out it was that bad! the meatballs were just horrible! i kinda wonder if they were really made of meat. the grinding was so fine it was like eating balls of sawdust! and the sauce and lack of didn’t help either. i’ve had better meatball subs at Subway and those are pretty bad.

I really like this place. The food is really good and the family who runs it are really nice as well. The pizza is delicious, but it’s also too thin. That’s the only reason I gave Tony’s 4 stars instead of 5. For pizza I’d recommend Marblehead House, for anything else go with Tony’s.

I was happy to see Tony’s Pizza decided to rebuild after a 2003 fire destroyed their business. Tony’s has a few advantages over rival Marblehead House of Pizza across the square: 1. Delicious calzone 2. A sit down family atmosphere 3. Entrée choices The pizza is good. It’s a great place to hang and hide from the cold. Glad to see they are back in business.
