Great food that was prepared well. It’s the perfect place to tantalize your pallet not to walk away with a stomach ache. The service was so long — wait staff could be a bit more attentive. They have very limited outdoor seating, which really limits them. Sea bass and FL red snapper was delicious. Overall, we’d go back.

This is a nice restaurant if you are on Marco Island, but it wouldn’t survive elsewhere. The food is some of the best we had on the island, but it was still lacking. The red snapper we has was good, fresh and well cooked. Our Chilean Sea Bass was fishy and not as well cooked. The staff was friendly although slow and inconsistent. The restaurant definitely caters to the older crowd.

Consistently good food and good service, even during season at a major resort. Had the crusted snapper and the loco Coconut mojito! Seared tuna app was delicious. Our window table was perfect for a partial view of sunset and another lovely evening on MI.

When i went to kurrents I noticed that when we had a appetizer of bread, the butter was very spicy and when I had the salmon it was very, very lacking in seasoning and also plain. It was a very fancy atmosphere and menu. There was music and everything. Besides that, the waiter was TERRIBLE. She never came when we were done and when we called someone else they just ignored us. She took 25 minutes just to give us the dessert menu. I’m definitely not coming back here again. I wasn’t impressed by the salmon. I also was not impressed by my moms dish of chicken. It was blah. Important note: DONOT get salmon at kurrents.

Prawns & Red Snapper dishes were delicious. The bread was soft on the inside, crusty on the out… just the way I like my bread(I’m a bread lover)! Our server, Rob, was awesome, ask for him if you go here. We had the Chocolate Soufflé which was amazing, came with homemade vanilla ice cream… absolutely delicious!

Of the 9 days I stayed at the resort I visited Kurrents twice for dinner. I must say this is thee BEST place to eat at the resort if you can dish out at least 80 for a dinner for 2. But it’s cuisine elevated to a totally other level than any other food option at the resort. First visit I have the«X-rated» martini which was really good. (Side note: I can’t believe drinks are only 11 bucks when the crappy poolside ones are the same price and even more if you want to actually have some liquor in your drink) They bring out an assorted bread basket which is lovely. I had the pancetta wrapped shrimp which was delicious grilled smokey to perfection. For my meal I had the chicken which was also very very good. The potatoes were to die for! And the crème brûlée was exceptional. The sorbet trio was also good but not as good as the crème brûlée. My second visit, I tried the lobster bisque which was the best lobster bisque I have ever had and the highlight for me. Then I had the Chilean Sea Bass which was sooo soo good. Cooked to perfection, the fish cut like melting butter. And I got the crème brûlée again. Plus the app offered a free dessert! Compliments to the chef!

Ate dinner last night here. Our group was in a separate area and we had dedicated staff to make everything perfect from cocktails to dinner to dessert. I had the filet mignon and it was incredible. It melts in your like«buddah». I can’t repeat enough how spectacular the service was. My compliments to everyone at the Marco Island Marriott.

We stayed at the Marco Island Marriott and had a great meal at Kurrents. The meal started with a delicious breadbasket with a flat bread, a slightly spicy cheese bread, and sour dough. We enjoyed everything iand even asked for more to enjoy with our cocktails and wine before our meals. For our meals, my husband and I had the Chilean sea bass and the seared tuna. We also got a side of the brussel sprouts. Everything was delicious. The Chilean sea bass was the best I ever had. The fish was cooked perfectly and buttery. The brussel sprouts were roasted and were just wonderful and flavorful made with pancetta. The tuna was also nicely prepared but was not as good as the sea bass, but I still enjoyed it. Our friends both had filet mignon and both enjoyed it. The service was excellent and attentive. Our server had great wine selections for us based on our individual tastes. Overall, a wonderful experience and I recommend even better it’s in one of my favorite Marriott properties for a getaway weekend! I gave only 4 stars because the meal was very expensive.

The citrus glazed Chilean sea bass was the best seafood dish I’ve ever had. I need to learn how to make that glaze! Crispy pork belly app. Was yummy too. The ambiance is cool– you feel like you’re underwater. Service was very friendly. It’s inside the marriott.

Good food. BUT, way overpriced. $ 20 for a small pour of chardonnay??? That’s robbery.

Have eaten here twice and my hubby holds that our first meal here was the best he has ever had… so we had to come again when in the area. I had potato crusted red snapper with citrus sauce. Light but filling. The sauce definitely made the dish. Hubby had new york strip and almost licked the plate. Service was wonderful both times. Marriott’s hotels do a great job generally but this rises above the rest. Highly recommend!

Extra star here for Enzo… our waiter. strictly old school… used to wait tables in new York City… guided us through the menu… almost over the top. but we liked him. Wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals. if a bit overpriced. Enzo recommended the Snapper for me. and Chilean sea bass for my wife. we both enjoyed. disappointed in our shared Caesar salad… it was only Ok. strange shape.rolled up. with not nearly enough dressing. our cocktails were OK. not potent enough considering the price. cheesecake for dessert was delicious. a three star dinner made a notch better by an entertaining waiter.

We ate at Kurrent’s twice on our recent trip. Our server recommended two seafood dishes from the menu and he was so right. My wife had the Chilean Sea Bass with a citrus flair and I had the red snapper encrusted in potato. Both meals were superb. On our second dinner there, my wife again had the chilean sea bass, which again she loved, but I went for the filet mignon. It was ok but I would not recommend it. I kick myself for not having one of those two excellent fish dishes. Service was outstanding both nights.

While vacationing on Marco a nice night out found us at Kurrents in the beautiful Marriott Resort. Good food, good drinks not great. Was disappointed in the bar, bartender looked bored and not really into creating great cocktails. However food was good but expensive for the overall quality. Calamari and shrimp appetizer was good and worth the try. Service was excellent overall. Resturant is not near the water and does not have any view really what so ever. Was kid friendly however kids meals were expensive as well. An expensive night, and not worth the price but it has potential to be a real winner. Just needs to amp up the menu a bit and get a better cocktail menu. Dessert was a real winner.

Kurrents is located in the Marriott Hotel on Marco Island. The décor is blah and the atmosphere is cold. The staff is nice and inviting. Our waitress really knew her stuff. Any questions we had, she was able to answer. Their menu is basically fresh seafood and a few beef and chicken entrees. We had the lobster and pea ravioli, which was delicious! Homemade pasta, fresh peas on the inside with some lobster meat and bisque on top. YUM! I had the cedar plank salmon stuffed with truffle and mushrooms. It was seasoned well, but a tad bit overcooked. My honey had the snapper. He says it was the best seafood dish he’s had in a long time! His daughter had the Caesar salad and she thought it was just phenomenal. It comes with a crispy cheese ring and homemade dressing. The waitress refilled drinks often, and kept making sure everything was okay. Here’s a tip: get extra cheese sticks in the bread basket. They’re like«fancy goldfish» as the waitress called them!

While many people say this is the best restaurant in the Marriott hotel, it certainly is far behind the best restaurant on all of Marco Island(that honor easily goes to Sale E Pepe.) During my vacation here I tried to go out to a number of recommended places and Kurrent’s was one of them. Unfortunately after going there, I might not recommended it to someone else. The atmosphere was very boring — dark, cold, and almost sterile. The only«wow» factor would go to their light-up menus(like a Kindle’s backlight.) I started off with their X-Rated specialty cocktail which was the best part of the night. It was prepared for me at the table which was a nice touch and the blend of liquors went down so smooth. Quite refreshing. If it wasn’t $ 12 I could have had at least 2 more. I ordered the snapper entrée for my meal which was decent at best. The presentation of the dish made it seem much more appetizing but that all changed as soon as I dug in. It was burnt on the bottom but on top of that the entire fish was very dry. If the actual fish filet wasn’t dry enough, they topped it off with a crispy mashed potato that must have been sealed on with a blow torch. I’ll give Kurrent’s credit for having good service and tipping our table off about a party of 40 coming in while we made the reservation, but the quality of food could be a little better considering the price you pay. Overall if you’re staying at the Marriott and for some reason can’t go down the street and are looking for a decent place to have dinner, check them out. But if you don’t mind a bar atmosphere Quinn’s is a few feet away right on the beach. It’s much more casual and a little cheaper.

We will be on the island for 9 days and we will dine here again. My Chilean Sea Bass was PERFECT! Flan for dessert was nice, hubby didn’t care for his grouper but he is a burger fries guy. :-)

As one of the few long time established restaurants on the island, I was looking forward to my first visit here. Great atmosphere indoors as well as being part of the islands only true«resort». The waitstaff all did a great job and the menu offered several options consistent with a restaurant of this caliber and price range. However our disappointment started when the orders started coming out. We were a table of 4, all ordering appetizers and entrees. It was universal agreement that not one of our dishes met the expectations based on what we have always been told. I’m not referring to little nuances such as under/over seasoned or overcooked. Many of our dishes should not have left the kitchen if there was a discriminating eye in charge. My sea bass had the taste and texture of an Applebee’s attempt at Ahi tuna. So bad in fact the manager took the dish back to show the chefs. The soup was under seasoned, lacking any depth of flavor. The prawns and scallops were just as underwhelming in texture and flavor. I definitely understand not everything is always going to be cooked perfectly for everyone’s liking, moreover, this ENTIRE meal was off. Way off. I appreciate the manager that night listening to our concerns and taking care of a few of the entrees. But after a few hundred dollars spent, then having to go to the beach bar afterwords because we were all still hungry doesn’t sit well with me. I’m hoping this was just an off night with the cooks. Perhaps the empty dining room here, while still packed at top notch places such as fin bistro, is indicative of people finally rewarding quality cooking while not settling for the infinite number of Marco restaurants that gouge the tourists with over the top average quality.

Good food, great service, outdoor seating is a must. Try the steaks they are all very good. Our waitress was great. Food came out right on time and not on top of the appetizers. We will be back.

Marriott Marco Island Resort is a 5 star Service hotel, at least up until we had dinner at their downstairs(upscale) restaurant, Kurrents! They fell short of the mark here, but the food was delicious. Our waiter got off on the wrong foot when we ordered a bottle of wine and never regained rapport with us. I had the sea bass which was delicious, as well as the sautéed cabbage which accompanied it, but their ravioli was gummy and not edible. Hubby had the snapper and said it was okay, but he had order envy with my sea bass. We had an appetizer that is not very memorable and a tasty crème brûlée for dessert.
