Very fresh shrimp and fish seasoned perfectly. Loved the rice and beans. Would highly recommend this hide-a-way treasure!

Hidden deep in Marco Island and worth the search. A small, laid back, locals favorite with great service and a reliably good meal. The grilled basket with shrimp and snapper is a great deal with a large portion of well seasoned fish that just falls apart as you eat it. You can’t go wrong between the rice and beans or fries, both are great. If you’re the beach bum type who appreciates a great, fresh meal this is the place for you.

If you can find Lee Be Fish Company, it’s like finding the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. It’s in a small area of shops that’s very quaint and has limited parking. The hours are not that great on Sundays. 11 – 9 most days and limited hours on Sunday. Once you get there, though, it’s a great experience. The place is not white table cloth. Don’t expect table service. There’s some seating inside and plenty of picnic tables outside on both sides of the joint. You go up to a small counter and you order based on a laminated paper menu. Fairly simple menu. Fish and shrimp in different flavors. The fish is based on what’s fresh. When I went, they had grouper and red snapper. Freshly caught the night before. I ordered the grilled blackened grouper combo. It came with shrimp and rice and beans or fries. I went with just the black beans. The beans came with onions and cilantro. Excellent beans, I’d say. The grouper was fantastic. You can taste the freshness. It came with 2 sauces that I couldn’t exactly place as anything typical. One was tomato based. A little like cocktail sauce with some kick of horseradish. The other was a bit yellowish green. Both were good but not necessary since the fish was so fresh and flavorful. The combo also came with shrimp that was blackened and grilled. The shrimp was good as well. Finally, I had to go back and order again. This time I ordered their homemade key lime pie. It was fantastic as well. The crust seemed like it could have been store bought, but the key lime filling was soft custardy and limey! Excellent place for lunch or dinner. If you find yourself on Marco Island and want fresh seafood without setting you back a lot of money, this is definitely the place to go!

I’m torn between«meh, I’ve had better»(because I have) and A-ok(because it really was) and I’m a fan(because, given the location and clientele, it really won’t get much better), so I’ll settle on A-ok and let you as the reader decide after your own experience here. Lee Be is a very casual fresh fish restaurant and seafood market in a cute little square area on Marco Island. It’s across from a gelato place so if you still feel hungry(which if you have a normal appetite you will), you can easily head across the way to indulge your sweet tooth(or just eat key lime pie at home as I prefer but either way, guarantee you will have plenty of room for dessert). Lee be owns two boats that go off shore each day to catch fish for the same day so it truly is fresh. Grouper is always available for an extra $ 3, as is shrimp(no upcharge). On my particular visit, the fresh catch was red snapper and ahi tuna was also available. The menu is straightforward– you can either get a sandwich(fried or grilled), a basket(fried or grilled), «tacos»(fish, shrimp, or combo), or Island style platter(fried or grilled). The sandwich is fish, whatever the fresh catch is or grouper, with either fries or black beans and rice for $ 11.99. One member of our party had the grilled snapper sandwich and enjoyed it. The other member that got the same sandwich thought it was very bland and not worth finishing. The basket is either fried or grilled fresh catch, grouper, or shrimp(you can do a combo or just shrimp for market price) with either fries or black beans and rice. This is $ 11.95 for fish or $ 14.95 for a combination of shrimp and fish. The island style platter is either fish, shrimp, or a combination, served over black beans and rice with cilantro, salsa, sour cream, cheddar cheese, and onions priced between $ 12.95 and $ 15.95. The member of our party who ordered grilled snapper island style enjoyed it, commenting how fresh tasting this fish was to him. The last three, myself included, ordered the«tacos». You either do fish, shrimp, or a combination priced between $ 8.99 and $ 9.99. «Tacos» came with either fries or black beans and rice. On the«tacos» was salsa, cilantro, onions, and-allegedly– sour cream and cheddar cheese, neither of which ended up on my «tacos». I keep saying«tacos» in quotations because A. There was only one and B. This was a rolled burrito, not an open taco. Flavor wise, the fish(I had snapper) was quite fresh and tasty and the taco was decent enough but terribly small and unfilling. The rice and beans had a nice kick and was topped with cilantro and sour cream. I added some of these to my taco to up the flavor quotient. Drinks are fairly limited– a couple of beer options and soda. The kid working the front was pretty rude, particularly when responding to a member of my party who was questioning preparations and separation of food due to her shellfish allergy. To elaborate, if you have a shellfish allergy, you can only order fried fish as the shrimp and fish are grilled on the same grill. Also, beware of the entitled old folk who don’t understand the concept of queuing up and feel it’s their given right to be in front of you because they have more«life experience». I understand it’s 7:00pm and past their bedtime but, seriously, it’s called politeness which seemingly is nonexistent in South Florida. Also, there are like 3 – 4 inside tables which will, naturally, be commandeered by those retirees who do nothing but golf and Go out to eat, so unless you want to sit outside, you will need to do take out. There are plenty of tables outside but no lighting. We ate in the dark besides the small light we Could gather from our phones. If I return to Marco Island, I would have no desire to return here. I was thoroughly unimpressed with everything, however, given the limited options on the island, I can concede three stars.

This is a top notch casual restaurant. They have fresh fish everyday. I love their fish tacos. My husband lived the snapper sandwich. We were pleased. The beans and rice are tasty. We continue to go there every year.

Second time for us… Love everything. Flavors marry well together. Don’t usually get fried anything but the fish was so delicate and not soaking in grease. Will be back. Keylime pie is less than average.

If you’re looking for fresh fish look no further, this is your place. Would recommend getting their catch of the day grilled and island style(it’s atop beans rice cheese sour cream and cilantro). Also, the sauces they give with the fish are really great. Don’t miss this place

Best prepared fish I had last 2 weeks in Florida. Great combo with rice beans. «Fish for the people» — they should have Bernie Sanders for a spokes person!!!

Wen with my girlfriend. We got a fish sandwich and the fish of the day platter. Reasonably priced fresh fish. One of the best fish sandwiches I’ve ever had. One of the best meals we have had on Marco. Casual and very quick. Go check it out.

Freshest fish on the island– caught daily! So many places on Marco/Goodland claim to have fresh catch but this place is for real. We usually go for lunch to get a quick break from the sun. You might have to wait 20 minutes but that’s a good sign of steady business and happy repeat customers! The ambiance is lacking a bit but just take it to go! Fried shrimp, tacos and grouper is worth the trip for this little hidden gem. My bf used to live on the island so he knows his seafood. Trust me on this one!

An out of the way restaurant, this place was definitely a great find. As soon as you walk in there is a case of fresh fish just to your right. There are several small menus located around the restaurant and at first it looks like there is no indoor seating, but you just have to go a little from the left. The food is absolutely outstanding! The fish is either same day caught or from the night before(so we were told) and the portions are good for the price. The only downside is that beverages come in cans only so there’s not much in the way of refills. Still a great stop though!

We weren’t impressed with the food for a local fresh fish place — the shrimp was the best. However, we were impressed with the honesty and integrity of the lady who worked there! I had left my purse and she found a card with my cell phone # on it. She called and I reclaimed it with everything in it!!!

Wow! If you want fresh, delicious seafood, this is the place to come! We were on vacation and stumbled across Lee Be’s. We liked it so much, we came back in the same week. Restaurant itself is no-frills. You order at the counter. You can take your food to go or eat outside at the courtyard outside(and listen to some pretty good live music). The menu is limited but the first night we had grilled grouper, mahi mahi and shrimp. The next night, they had ahi tuna cooked to order and we also had the peel and eat shrimp. Everything we had was fresh, seasoned well and cooked perfectly. We had both the island platter(served with rice, beans, cilantro, etc) and the basket(with fries). The prices were extremely reasonable. I highly recommend this gem!

Ate there twice in the last week. Fresh fish catch of the day. If you are picky about the fish you eat it may not be for you. Food was very fresh and fairly priced. Nice local establishment. Definitely worth a trip.

I really should give this little place with a limited menu only 4 stars but any fish shack that offers GRILLED fish(and shrimp) along with the fried versions deserves a special«Attaboy». The grilled grouper and grilled shrimp were terrific. And it was a pleasant surprise to find a nice beer selection. Nothing fancy about this place so lower your expectations for ambiance but raise your expectations for delicious off the grill food. The rice and beans were a little soupy but you’re not coming here for the carbs.

Looks can be very VERY deceiving… This small little quaint shack is tucked back into the corner of a small little strip mall on Marco Island. You walk into the shack and just see a small window where you order which is connected to the kitchen. Even though there are only a couple things you can order(which pretty much all include the catch of the day) you practically can’t go wrong! The«Catch of the Day» is legitimately the catch of the day, everything they serve is caught by the staff that morning. You literally couldn’t get any fresher unless you ate on the boat! The prices are extremely fair for the quantity and high quality that they are able to produce. With the normal meal you get a massive filet of the catch of the day(which was Amber Jack that day) along with a side. I would recommend this to any fresh fish lover.
