Marco Island Lakeside Inn

Okay,
The Hotel itself is excellent. The rooms were well equipt with refridgerators, TV’s, Stoves (the list goes on). I however am not really concerned with all that on a tropical island. Location is everything and this place is not located nicely on the «corporate island.»
Let me explain,
Marco Island really has only one place where you can pay to park and walk over to the beach. It is a very narrow strip on south beach and it takes you to the water. This means that unless you are in a hotel on the beach you have to get into your car and drive to this parking place to park and go to the one section of the beach that’s crowded. The parking lot closes at dusk so don’t even think about staying out on the beach late.
The «Lake» that this place talks about is actually a little pond in the back. Granted there is a cool tiki hut with grills by their little pool, but I did not come to Marco Island to sit around by a hot pond during the summertime.
Do not get me wrong. If this place was on the water it would have 5 stars. Service is great and the amenities are spot on. I simply feel that it is not the way to go when visiting Marco Island AKA– overly developed private corporate island…

Love love love this place. Spent my birthday weekend there in May with the boyfriend and had an amazing stay. Our Key West style suite was clean and crisp smelling. The view of the lake was beautiful. The receptionist was very kind and very welcoming. Can’t wait to come and visit again.

This is a place for rest and relaxation, peace and quiet. Lets keep it that way :)
The short version: Absolutely a great place to stay. Well appointed and comfortable rooms with a friendly staff that exemplifies hospitality. Good location and plenty of parking. Great place for a quiet getaway.
The long version: Everything about this place is great! I booked one of their poolside studio suites a couple of months in advance. A couple of days before my arrival, I received and email from Marcia, the General Manager, confirming my reservations and asking if any of the guests had any allergies (feather/​scent). Also asking what time we expected to arrive as they offer lockboxes for guests arriving after office hours.
Check-​In: We were greeted by Marcia herself. She was very welcoming and informative. In addition to giving us our room location, ice machine location etc, she also informed us of the propane BBQ grills available for use, free or charge. She also mentioned that they lend everything you might need during your stay for free as well (bbq grill utensils, coolers, games, etc).
Room: Way more amenities than I expected. It was like being at home. The description for the room said «kitchenette» so I was expecting a microwave, a small fridge and a coffee maker. Instead, I was pleasantly surprised with a full sized stove/​oven, cabinets, kitchen sink, refrigerator, coffee maker and all the necessary kitchen tools (pots, pans, silverware, cups, wine glasses, tumblers, dish rack, dish detergent, etc).
The room was impeccably clean, you could smell the cleanliness as soon as you walked in. Plenty of drawers and closet space. Bathroom had no less than 12 different towels. Not one spot of mold or mildew or stain on anything. Lots of windows with great natural light (bring a sleeping eye mask if the light bothers you in the mornings).
The room had an old school rotary looking phone with a guest book with wonderful notes left from previous guests.
Grounds/​Property: Plenty of parking. Each room had a little patio area with a table and chairs. Tiki hut area for guest use (where the bbqs are located). Beach area in front of the lake with lounge chairs and a hammock. Heated pool that is well maintained (pool lounge chairs with cushions did have a little mold staining but I just used the chairs without cushions and draped my towel over them). Free wifi that works on and off depending on how close to the office you are. Laundry facility also available just around the office.
Check Out: My hubs and I were checking out early on a Sunday when the office was closed. We were given instructions to just leave the keys in the room (express check out). I love that! No waiting in line when it is time to go.
Despite our room being right next door to the tiki hut, it was really quiet and just what we needed to unplug from city life. Overall, I highly recommend this beautiful Inn and look forward to returning soon and often!

My husband and I were on the island doing a guided fishing tour and we were going to be delayed so we looked for rooms last minute and this was available and incredibly well priced. We didn’t know what to expect but once we got there the room was big with a full kitchen, living room, and bedroom. The room was also clean and all of the service we received was incredibly friendly. Even though we were coming in after the inn closed they worked with us to make sure we could get in to our room at 1 in the morning. I would definitely stay there again.

What an absolute GEM!!! The rooms are so bee u tee ful and very CLEAN AND SPACIOUS. Just staying for the night, but would definitely stay here again. Great pool and lake side hangouts. Stayed at the Marriott, and this place is by FAR better. Would recommend this darling place to anyone planning on staying on Marco Island.

I abosutely love this clean, charming, well apointed Inn on beautiful Marco Island. A well-​kept secret that I am sure will not be a secret long. Did I mention the comfortable beds? Ahhhhhhh :)

My family and I decided to stay at Lakeside Inn for New Years weekend. We were looking for a cheap place since we were only going to be there a couple of nights and knew we would be only stopping by to shower and sleep the night. From the pictures on their website the rooms didn’t seem to roomy; however, I was pretty surprised when we finally made it. After all the twists and turns we arrived to a clean and welcoming Inn. Our room complete with a queen size bed, queen size sofa bed, kitchen, large dining area, and balcony was very comfortable and spacious.
A big plus was their price…
I’m sure we’ll be staying at Lakeside Inn on our next visit to Marco Island.
