We were looking for an outdoor option for dining. Top notch service, ambience, and menu. Accommodations for those with specific dietary needs. If you desire incredible views of the sunset, an extensive wine and cocktail selection, and fine dining, you will not be disappointed. Enjoy! Additionally, not a pedestrian experience.

What a terrific evening gazing at the Gulf of Mexico! I called ahead to let the place know I would be in a large party, and had a birthday girl. The woman on the phone asked for any food allergies right off the bat, what a nice surprise! Upon arrival, everyone knew about the celiac people at the table and made it known they would create anything on the menu possible with GF ingredients. Holy Sh! t! I was address by my last name, and was made to feel very welcome and special. They have a gigantic wine selection! The bottle service was perfect, down to a crystal dish for the cork to reside in. As dishes were walked by you had to turn your head, as an artistic creation was served, not just food. All courses of dinner were superb. Crumb service included. The terrace view was breathtaking! The landscape around the hotel was lush, architecture stunning, and valet service was spot on. Epic dinner, I can’t wait to return!

Absolutely wonderful food. Everything was delicious and the presentation was perfect. Our server was extremely accommodating and helpful. Such a delightful dining pleasure. Atmosphere was lovely also with views of the ocean. I will return every time I visit Marco Island!

Absolutely FANTASTIC! May 25th, 2016 Party of 6 from California(restaurant snobs), Michigan & Florida. Food was fantastic, waitress/waiters were impeccable and the beautiful décor was eye candy! Loved this restaurant. Highly would recommend it to my charity girlfriends in Los Angeles!!! Linda N.

If you get a chance to visit the Island… this is by far the best Italian food, the staff doesn’t miss a beat and the sunset is awesome on the terrace. I raise my glass to the Chef and staff… Salute!

Hate to disagree with everyone, but our meal was not good. Let me say first that the service was terrible. Yes they were busy, but we got there at 6:30 and we didn’t eat until 8:15. My husband ordered salmon, and out of all the dishes that was the best one, and he really liked it. I ordered a pasta with Maryland crab, yellow tomatoes, olives, bourraga. Totally unremarkable, needed salt, and the table was not provided with salt or pepper. I ordered a glass of super Tuscan wine, which was delicious but I believe the pour was about 3 ounces. My girlfriend had some sort of green pasta with meat sauce, tiny serving, and they did not warn her that it was very spicy. Our friend ordered the steak, for $ 45. It was a ribeye, half an inch thick, very dry even though he ordered it rare, which it was. It came accompanied by a sauce which was truly disgusting, it tasted like dessert wine mixed with beef bouillon. We were seated at a table facing the sunset which was painful to my husband since he was the one staring right at it. This restaurant used to be my very favorite on the island, but boy has it fallen in my estimation. Very expensive and very pedestrian now.

My wife and I had dinner at the terrace. The food was ok but overpriced. Service was poor. Our waiter spent most of his time talking with 2 young women at the next table. Our table was right by a door where the staff walked in and out of — very annoying.

Very good food, beautiful setting overlooking the beach, with very very good wine list. Definitely suggest going«three courses»(starter, pasta, main) and getting the fettuccine with truffles if available. Delicious very light crème caramel dessert. The saltimbocca was the only disappointing element of the night — my friends who had the branzino fared way better.

Wants to be a high class restaurant but falls short. Mediocre service, iffy food preparation. Beautiful views, but not worth the prices. We live on Marco Island and have written this place off. DN

Delicious! Homemade pasta was divine. I had linguine with clams, and it was wonderful. The chicken Marsala was great, as well. Great service, friendly waiter. Romantic and fun atmosphere. Will definitely be going there again.

Absolutely the most authentic, creative and delightful italian restaurant in Southwest Florida. Nobody should miss the opportunity to try a top notch restaurant like Sale&Pepe.

We had dinner on our first night in Marco Island. I chose a three course special and everything was good. In relation a previous bad review is Christmas Day and they had fixed menu for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day that was 79 dollars per person and i found it too expensive and from what I read they were slow also.

As an Italian NY’r I recommend this place — great service, food and views. Had the Spaghetti con Vongole and it was perfectly made al dente with toasted breadcrumbs and hot peppers. Definitely going back. Great find on Marco Island and in Naples area.

This place is special. Super good food, super good service, and a great ambiance and great sunset view. You feel like you are in Hawaii yet eating high quality Italian food. The only reason it doesn’t get a 5 star review is the outdoor area needs some bug protection — we all got eaten alive and had mosquito bites all over the next day. It was too dark to even know we were getting chomped on while we were enjoying our entrees and dessert. Put in some screens or citronella or spray around, or cut away some of the growth, or do something please. Food: Top notch, I recommend the Saltimbocca for sure, delicious with a poached egg and great sauce. The Garganelli pasta was also really good, made from spinach with a white bolognese sauce that was delicous. Best part — their bread and homemade ricotta cheese spread with oil and chili flakes — friggen delicious and addicting, beware and don’t fill up. Service: 5 star for sure, the staff was super attentive, constant water refilling when needed, plate clearing was spot on, they were informative and nice and cheerful and entertaining. They went above and beyond to make us feel at home and well cared for. The one glitch was we couldn’t get change for a $ 20 to tip the valet driver, which was really weird — we had to go to the hotel bar down the way(which actually looked pretty cool, even though it was empty — I guess they don’t get crowded on a weekday night). Ambiance: Beautiful sunset view on Marco Beach, great for picture taking, and the décor is really well done inside and outside. Again, the mosquitoes were a problem, so wear long pants even if it is hot, and a long sleeve shirt would be a good idea too. Great view, but super itchy as a result! Definitely worth checking out!

This place gets a 4.5 overall. Heres the breakdown –5 for food! It is succulent and delicious. The soups are really yummy. The prosciutto appetizer is really good. The bread is fresh and warm. The halibut entry was to die for! Also had a really good lemon drop martini! Yum. –4 for service. They are a bit pretentious and not super warm, good service nonetheless –4 for price, very pricey, however the quality of the food is appropriate despite the cost.

Excelent views and service just make sure before sitting that you have an unobstructed view of the sunset. The patio has wide columns which could block your view.

Sal e Pepe’s is a must if you are in Marco Island. It is a one of a kind experience. The interior décor is over the top opulence. This is a great place to come for just a cocktail to hang at the bar and take everything in. The sense of opulence carries over into the whole experience. Our waiter was extremely patient and professional. If the weather permits, I highly recommend eating outdoors, especially at sunset. Our server was extremely knowledgeable and professional and the entire waitstaff was on the ball. Our waiter was patient with us and made sure we were happy with our wine/drink selections before he moved on. My wife had the Scottish salmon which she enjoyed. I had the fish of the day special which was Branzino fileted in half. It was cooked and seasoned perfectly, very light with classic Mediterranean flavor. My father had the frutti di mare pasta which he enjoyed thoroughly. We had a little room left for dessert so we got some chocolate mousse and gelato. It was fantastic. We walked out feeling very satisfied, but not stuffed, which is a good feeling. Once again, I would highly recommend Sal e Pepe’s if you are looking for a 5 star experience.

Great Italian restaurant located inside a beautiful resort on Marco Island Beach. Great ocean and sunset views. The hotel staff and service was outstanding and the food was absolutely delicious. I was lucky enough to go to dinner at Sale E Pepe with a group of my family members, so I was able to sample and taste a little bit of everyone’s dishes. I was not disappointed with anything I tried. Their Bolognese was absolutely delicious. Probably one of the best I have ever tried. Their salmon was amazing, as was their whole branzino. Very fresh and juicy fish. My favorite dish was their ricotta ravioli — so creamy and delicious! I loved that they serve their coffee with a stick of rock candy to stir it with. As for dessert, I tried their assorted gelatos which were all delicious! If you’re looking for a fancy, romantic, beach front restaurant to have a delicious dinner(and not even have to break the bank) — Sale E Pepe is the way to go!
