Casual restaurant on the water with very fresh and tasty food. We came here twice during our 5 day vacation! The salad bar is complimentary with an entrée and I could make a meal just from that itself– salad, pickles, pasta and potato salads, homemade bread, etc. However, the seafood is very fresh so make sure you save room! We had the calamari, fried oysters, blackened grouper with black beans and rice. The second time we came we tried the fried lobster tail and shrimp denny. Everything was delicious but my favorite was the blackened grouper! It was seasoned perfectly and very fresh. My family loved the shrimp denny! I highly recommend this place even over the high end seafood & steak places that we went to in Marco! You will not be disappointed.

Our number one ‘must go’ place when we go to Florida! Wonderful atmosphere, right off the ocean with live music, and awesome salad bar(don’t forget your pickle!) and for that makes you happy. Best spot in Marco Island!

The food was great but, we waited over an hour for a crappy water view. And call me old fashioned but I believe the guest should be required to wear shoes!!!

We ate here for the first time on a rainy Wed. Jan. 27. We sat at a table under the covered outside area. It was very busy despite record flooding in the area! Our server was good, and the food was tasty. My grouper was good, but certainly not the best I had on this vacation. We did not see any other places to eat along the water while we were driving around in the pouring rain, so perhaps that is why they were so busy!

I’ve been coming to Marco for over 25 years and have always enjoyed the Snook Inn. In fact, I’ve brought visitors from all over the US to the Snook so they could experience the great food, fun tiki hut and excellent customer service. My last three experiences have been nothing but negative. From a rude hostess to a bus boy yelling explicatives and quitting on the dining room floor and the souvenir shop not exchanging a sweater that was damaged upon purchase, I wouldn’t recommend bringing anyone to the Snook Inn until some improvements are made! We even addressed one issue with the owners, who only offered 15% off in the gift shop. It is a shame that a Marco Island staple has gone so far down for so long!

Drove by early last night and saw the parking lot overflowing, and many people waiting at 6PM. The chickee hut looked like a fun place. We continued on deciding to try this another night. Went back tonight for dinner around 7:30. Given the heavy rain, there was no wait. We had the petite filet and one of the shrimp dinners. Found the drinks reasonably priced(a relief after spending resort prices at the Marriott) and the salad bar a delight. Very pleased with the entire experience. Waitress was great — as was the food and value. It reminded us of Woodmans, in Essex, Massachusetts. A venerable establishment with great food, and a welcoming atmosphere. Only disappointment was the gift shop was closed. Really fun place with good food. Highly recommend to visitors.

Disappointing at best. The clam strips were gobs of breading with very little clam. The scallops were fake. The crab stuffing was overwhelmed with green peppers and onion. The salad bar was a joke. The meal made my wife ill. The service was slow. All this cost us $ 45. I’m amazed this place is so popular. We won’t go back, ever…

This is a fun place. Grilled grouper and a baked potato = gluten free. However, there isn’t a lot on their famous salad bar that appeared glutenless besides lettuce and some veggies. The bar had Tito’s vodka, which is gluten free.

Back in town and headed here first — not disappointed! Very busy as usual for a Saturday night — had Duncan playing which I was hoping for. We were given a pager and waited along the side just like last year with a cocktail. When our table was ready the hostess walked us back and threw our menus on the table — glad she wasn’t serving us! We shared the fish spread which was amazing as usual and split a dinner — fresh fish of the day — blackened red snapper — it was out of this world! Love this place. I’m certain we will stop here again this week. I could come every day! Maybe we will!

I’ve been coming to the Snook for almost 10 years. Every vacation to Marco in the winter as well as the spring. Every time it’s been fun with great service and tasty food. This past visit, however, was less than mediocre. We began at the chikee bar and faced down right rude service. With only about 8 – 10 people in the bar, we being 5 of them, we didn’t think there would be any problem. The bartender started out with an attitude when we ordered out drinks. Trying not to crowd the bar, two of us ordered the drinks. Sitting at a table 5 feet away from the bar, two of the members in our party handed their IDs to me to bring up and the bartender freaked out and stormed out from behind the bar and gave an aggressive lecture about how he can’t be sure they are the people in the IDs(they are 25 and 26.). Had he just asked us to all be at the bar and order our own drinks, there would be no problem. He then lashed out at the older adults in our party, poured our drinks out and told us «if we didn’t like the way he made drinks we can go find another bartender». I’ve never been so appalled by service. We spoke with the manager and she was incredibly apologetic and bought us our first round of drinks, made from the bar inside. 10 years of great service ruined by one rude, argumentative bartender who had it out for us the second we walked up to the bar. The managers are great and should look for a new bartending staff.

Great place to eat. Food was good – don’t let the fact that they’re busy fool you, groups of 6 or less will get seated easily. Make sure the whole group is there, they won’t seat you until they are. Fish was awesome – table had grouper and mahi-mahi, all were done really wonderfully. Salad bar and fresh bread station included with your meal. Outdoor bar and seating area also a plus.

There is nothing special about this place, yet it was quite crowded. Reminds me of the Yogi Berra line, «this place is so crowded, no one goes there anymore». The food was average, and the salad bar, fair… at best. Staff and service were fine. Music was great. All that said, I would not go back.

My family and I lived in south Naples a few years ago and The Snook Inn was a favorite to bring guests. We returned to the area for thanksgiving and were all pleasantly surprised that this place had gotten even better! The table had the blackened mahi mahi with black beans and rice, the shrimp burger with sweet potato, a hamburger, and coconut shrimp. We all agreed…“ours was the best”. Excellent service and by the dock vibe. Definitely worth doing!

This place is fun! The vibe is great. The crab legs we’re amazing and the conk fritters as well. My husband got the shrimp Burger and didn’t enjoy it. He said it was very crunky a seemed like there we’re shrimp shells in it. He did like the mahi mahi sandwhich though. We loved the view and atmosphere! I suggest going here.

The location is a huge draw for visitors like myself and my husband– but the absolute must go to is that out last name is Snook. That said, the vibe is super chill– the beers are seriously cheap, and the food is solid. I recommend the fish and chips, the oyster po boy and the shrimp Denny– major yum! The salad bar is decent enough to not need an appetizer but the steamers are among some of my favorite anywhere. The local musicians play beachside tunes for all generations and I’ve seen everyone from toddlers to baby boomers get up to dance. The gift shop has been a lifesaver for my husband and I– we buy a ton of «Snook» branded gifts for his family and they go nuts for it.

I love the Snook Inn! There is always a crowd, but it’s always a good time! What’s better than east coast seafood? East coast seafood served on the water, under a tiki bar, with mojitos and live music! :) The tiki bar is actually a bit smokey for me but I love sitting at the sunny tables overlooking the ocean. Snook in is accessible by car or boat on lovely Marco Island. Since I haven’t eaten at too many places on Marco, I can’t quite compare how the food stacks up, but the food is always good for a nice lunch or happy hour.(Very casual fare) Free salad bar with every meal! Salad bar is packed with fresh pickles, green salad, pasta salad, bean salad, tomato salad and many others, Yum! I always leave here stuffed. At $ 10-$ 20 a plate, I also find snook inn to be very reasonable! They are usually on a wait so I love to grab a drink at the bar and head to the upstairs deck for some sightseeing while I’m waiting for a table. Wish it was closer!
