Trip to Marco is not complete without spending time at the Flamingo. We have been eating their wings, burgers and fresh fish for 25 years. Clam Pot, garlic bread, check their special board … All good. Servers are all well trained and work hard. Rose And Danny make us feel welcome every single time we go. They have a great happy hour and when you need that late late night burger or wings they are ready for you.

This place is great. Love the laid back atmosphere and beachy feel. Food is fresh and fast. Drove down to Marco from Bonita Springs the other day just to come for lunch. Clam strips and grouper fingers are among some of the best around.

Great little seafood shack. Clams are good, so is the grouper. Very casual. Prices are good and staff is friendly.

My go to casual. Great raw bar, but the fish selections are out of sight and reasonable. Try the grouper mesquite grilled or get the Tai Fish. Steak a la mama is meat with heat. Fries are good but Zi like the saffron rice. Back for the grouper… Yumm 2−1−16 having the Mahi tonight m

Good, not great, food. Had the Kathy’s seafood marinara and was picking shell fragments out of my teeth throughout the meal. The concept of everyone ordering and picking up their own food at the bar just doesn’t work especially when ordering appetizers and entrees at the same time, everything comes out at the same time. Recommend this place for only for parties of 2, more then that and they’ll screw up your meal.

Tried to get take out, was rudely and deliberately told they are too busy to do takeout orders, been ordering for years, too busy for takeout… wow…fry the wings i buy them… guess not… update …sandbar took my order right away, their wings are just as good if not better

I don’t know if this place is off lately or not(it may have a high overall average, but look at the reviews lately) but there needs to be some separation of its ideals and/or what others have experienced, and what I saw and experienced. Some of the photos here on the page look great, but it was baskets galore, and unless you’re getting fresh seafood, be prepared for a LOT of batter on the fried items. M’lady’s chicken sandwich was OK, but the chicken on our shared salad saw better days as a truck mudflap. Now, the atmosphere in this place is fun: a tropical dive, complete with well worn characters galore, and that’s cool. A tad frightening to see such day drinkers so early, but that’s no fault of the restaurant. The problem, in sum, was that the food was… well, it wasn’t good.

We were incredibly disappointed with all the food! Do not waste your time or money going here. We had the conch fritters, fried ravioli– tasted like fried in same fryer as fish, oysters– horrible, steak sandwich with meat that was very grizzly, conch chowder, and grouper tasted very old and fishy, her caeser salad with chicken tasted like fish. I’ve never written a review but thought I should to let others know our experience.

Excellent! Delicious fresh raw oysters, great conch chowder, and stone crab claws. Outstanding friendly service at a reasonable price. What more could you ask for?

Love this place, great food and wonderful people. Very very relaxed but fun and laid back. A great way to wind down a fun day at the beach. Great fries and coconut shrimp and the buffalo shrimp was yummy.

Despite its humble location in the strip shopping center on Marco Island, The Crazy Flamingo has a lot going for it. Super relaxed atmosphere, excellent food, and moderately low prices(compared to other dining/bar options on Marco and in Naples.) Lots of locals and people who knew each other. Family friendly, even into the evening. Just be wary that smokers tend to hang out on the patio and take a table indoors if that sort of thing bothers you. All ordering and most food pickup happens right at the bar. Grab a menu and send someone up to put in your order as soon as you all know what you want. We had wings(awesome), clam strips(hey, it’s a guilty pleasure), and a couple of draft beers, one of which was free because we checked in on Unilocal! There was a one-man guitarist/singer set up in the corner, lots of Buffet, Cash, Eagles kind of stuff: pure Florida. I’d definitely come here again just because it was a comfortable, laid-back atmosphere with no pretense. No gorgeous view, but no island price gouging either.

This is the perfect place for Godilocks — everything was not too good or too bad — it was just right for middle of the road dining in the south gulf coast FL area. TCF has a good selection of fresh fish and land-based mammal/fowl food, with reasonable prices and über-friendly service staff. Corona Light on draft was a welcome sight. Unilocalers who comment that the TCF is a «dive bar» need to get off of Marco Island and visit some of the true dive bars in the area. TCF is the Disney version of a dive bar. If you are looking for the best tasting food on the Island, keep looking. TCF won’t win any culinary awards because everything was just ok — steamed shrimp & grilled tuna steak. Not bad, not great, just good(thank you Goldilocks). The black beans & rice were another matter. They are prepped with chopped up green olives. I loved it; my wife hated so «Eater Beware!» Order and pick up at the bar was fine for me but for those who believe table-service is a key component of your meal, bring your own wait staff.

The food was also great. My wife decided on the Vinny’s steak sandwich, which was perfect! So tasty and juicy. I decided on the same. I ordered the Conch Chowder as I have never seen it on menu and it was excellent. We were told conch fritters were delicious but we didn” t try them. They have a pretty good selection of beers on tap: Bud, Bud light, Miller light, Amber Bock, Guinness, Michelob ultra, and Yuengling.(12) oz draws of domestics are just $ 1.75. While they have table seating they also have small picknic style benches. If you are a big person, you may have trouble sitting in the chairs as they are small. Plenty of TVs to watch games also a game room and pool table

What a great dive bar that serves tasty seafood! My wife and I wanted to go somewhere where we could get fresh seafood and drinks at a reasonable price. Crazy Flamingo is just that place! While they have table seating and outdoor seating, all orders are taken at the bar. They said it is to help keep costs down. We didn’t mind at all, and ended up eating at the bar. They have a pretty good selection of beers on tap: Bud, Bud light, Miller light, Amber Bock, Guinness, Michelob ultra, and Yuengling.(12) oz draws of domestics are just $ 1.75!!! We both decided to try Yuengling, which is apparently from Pennsylvania and is the oldest American brewery. It was pretty good: like a light Amber ale. The food was also great. My wife decided to switch from seafood and get the Vinny’s steak sandwich, which was perfect! So tasty and juicy. I still wanted seafood so I got the combo steamed bowl of muscles, oysters, and clams. It seemed a little pretty at $ 25; however, it would have probably been double at another restaurant. I guess that is the price you pay for fresh seafood. The combo steamed bowl came out in a huge stainless steel bowl with the sea critters. I got some long tongs to get the sea critters. Btw, don’t touch the bowl because it is d@mn hot! I made that mistake. The sea critters were great. Very tasty! Overall, an excellent place for food and drinks in a chill environment!

Apparently, I spaced-out big time after my chill-out weekend last year in Marco and wrote the wrong review for Crazy Flamingo. I got it mixed up with another place. Thankfully, I recently returned to the Flamingo so I can make it up to them by writing an accurate — and glowing updated review. This place has great, fresh seafood and bar food — far above the average for a beach resort-town type of joint. Their raw oysters and clams are consistently high quality and so satisfying. Everything is prepared well and served up quickly and efficiently from an always cool and totally«on-it» staff. I have eaten at the bar both times and the service was friendly and swift. There are tables as well if you prefer. I think you order at the bar and they bring your food over, but don’t quote me on that. Just know that the food is very good, the brews are cold and you must stop here on your next visit to sleepy Marco. It’s probably the best casual place to eat and drink on the island. You can quote me on that.

Reviews for this dive bar are all over the place. Marco Island is without a doubt a(gasp) Trip Advisor town. With the exception of Konrad’s however, we liked all the places we ate at – even though most of them were 3.5, 3 stars at best. Let this review be the final word on The Crazy Flamingo: It was the best food we had on the island, –especially– for the price. Hands down. Go here. Food and service were great. The details: My husband and I came in for lunch after a long morning of walking on the beach(about five miles!). My man was starving, but I was still too hot to really have an appetite, even after a cool shower. However, some of you will remember I am an absolute sucker for fried ravioli. You hardly ever see it on menus outside the fly over states, so I went ahead and ordered it with a Stella(free with Unilocal check in!). My boo went all in and ordered a steak sandwich with fries. His beer was on draft and was… $ 1.75. That isn’t a typo. It’s not. It’s cheaper than water. It happened. Now, see here – the devil’s in the details. We sat at the bar, so naturally, we got the best service in the house. We talked to the waitress, cook, and owner – all of whom were pleasant and conversational. The beers we ordered were cold and services in a chalice(for my Stella) and a frosty mug(for my hubs’ Yeungling). If you are a huge fan of say, Olive Garden? Say, Denny’s? Say, TGIFridays? I can see how this food might be too much for you. A place like the Crazy Flamingo SEEMS like a place you could get some generic fries and a generic pre-frozen burger. The kind of food this kind of diner is obviously used to and expecting. Instead you will be served glory. Of course their food is sometimes charred. Those are grill lines, you idiot. Of course their food is sometimes well-done. If you like your fries or mozz sticks pale you’re a crying fool – they have. to. crunch. If you are a foodie, this is your bar. My husband’s steak sandwich was served on GRILLEDGARLICBREAD. Let that really sink in for a minute. Because I was chowing down on deep-fried pockets of house-made pasta and seasoned ricotta cheese(with a heavenly side of homemade«probably too chunky for Ragu fans» marinara) and even I was super jealous. The steak was a very red medium, but oh so delicious. It melted in your mouth. My hunger had awoken, so I ordered a half dozen oysters after I polished off the ravioli. I waited in suspense, to see if their oysters were as great as the rest of the fare. The cook came out and helped our waitress shuck them herself. I overheard them talking about the shipment. The oysters had just come in from the DAILY shipment. Straight from Louisiana. They tasted like a song. I devoured them without any condiments. Our bill was under $ 30. Even after a second round of beer. We left satisfied and a bit surprised at how great our experience had been. Later that evening we ate at Konrad’s, and after we left my husband was little disappointed with his dinner. Walking out, we held hands and he looked at me lovingly. He said, «We should have eaten at the Crazy Flamingo again.»

My girlfriend saw the Crazy Flamingo earlier in the week while we were out and she thought we should stop in for food one evening during our trip, I was a bit unsure as it looked like a dive from the outside and figured we could go somewhere a little less divey. I’ll admit she made me eat my words after our dinner at the Crazy Flamingo. We arrived at 7 pm on Friday night and there was a table right by the bar for us to eat at. The bartender/owner explained that you order and get refills at the counter and that they would bring our food out and call us when it was ready. The place was definitely a dive but everyone there seemed to be having a good time including the employees. There was a gentleman playing guitar(Jimmy Buffett, John Mellencamp covers) who was actually pretty good and the beers were priced well. My girlfriend, my son and I all felt like getting fish on our last night in Marco so we all ordered the grouper finger basket. Although the fried grouper they served wasn’t the best or freshest I had all week it was up to par and tasted great. The french fries were crunchy and a good portion and surprisingly they may have had the best tartar sauce I have ever eaten. I have to say I really enjoyed my meal as did everyone else at my table. Props to the bartender/owner who stopped at our table to ask how everything was as well. My 3 year old son saw the motorcycle arcade game they had inside and the owner took a dollar out of his own pocket so he could play it. To make my kid smile, really shows that the people there care about their customers, what a class act. I’m glad I listened to my girlfriend and that we stopped in to this place that has caring employees and good food. Stop in!

We were overdue for lunch and hit The Crazy Flamingo for a bite at a local favorite. You could tell the place could be a lot of fun(think happy hour, or as dinner turns into drinks in the evening). But, at 3pm, it was a little more sedate. That being said, the service was just fine — the girls behind the bar were quite pleasant and peppy. Flamingo doesn’t do table service, so you have to go up to the bar to order, then later to pick up your food. We were two steps from the bar, so that was no issue. I’m not sure what folks outside do! The food was alright. I had the hamburger. The flavor wasn’t exploding, which I cannot explain. With onion, lettuce, ketchup, mustard and cheese — something should have popped. I mean, it was decent, but I expected more. The fries were good — a good crunch on the outside while hot and steamy inside. I’d much rather return here for appetizers and drinks than have a meal. I think that would be a lot of fun.

Echt cool dort.
