Pictures don’t do it justice. What a beautiful beach for mental and physical detox. The walking distance isn’t too bad just be ready to do a little walking but it was so worth it. We enjoyed paddle boarding and kayaking in lagoon where wild life, fresh air, and amazing views are available. Than walked trail to the beach. Spent all day here totally entertained

Parking is $ 8 which seems to be standard parking fee around West Coast/Naples area. I initially read a review about how long of a walk it was to get to the actual beach once you park but I thought some people were exaggerating on the walking distance. Well I was certainly wrong for thinking that. We parked at the Tigertail Beach Park and initially walked into a lagoon area. A nasty & gross — full of bugs — non beach-laying area. We asked an employee of the kayak stand how to get to the beach and he told us we could either cross the lagoon and it was a 3 – 4 walk or walk 10 – 15 minutes around the park to get to beach. Being pregnant, carrying with two beach chairs, an oversized umbrella, a lunch bag, a towels bag and a beach bag we were considering just leaving and wasting the $ 8 parking fee. The lagoon was full of fish(which I am terrified of) and the water mid way across came up past the men’s waistline that were crossing. Think of all your electronics and items that can’t get wet & having to carry them over your head across this lagoon… not the best idea if you ask me. We saw on the park map that if we parked at the end the parking lot(#6) it was a shorter walk. So we re loaded the car with all our gear and went to check it out. Only a minute of a drive down we were at walk path #6 and figured lets just give it a shot since we were there already. I want to warn everyone that YES it is indeed a 15 minute walk. My husband was NOT happy whatsoever about carrying two big beach chairs & an oversized umbrella all of that distance at noon during the middle of Florida’s hot & humid summer. The walk definitely took a toll on us. The beach is nice but out of all the beaches on the West Coast I don’t recommend having to walk 15 to a beach carrying all your belongings.

Unless you are staying in one of the condos where this beach is directly behind you… don’t go! They charge $ 8 for public parking and it is, easily, a 1.5−2.0 mile walk to the actual beach. No one mentioned this when we paid for parking. You have the Beach café and cabana rentals pretty close to the parking but the«beach» there is a joke, its actually a lagoon. Extremely shallow water full of seagrass. You have to walk passed all the shrubs to then see the beautiful ocean still another mile away or so. Not fun if you are carrying a cooler, beach chairs, tote bag, etc. If you enjoy the walk, be my guest! They do offer lots of rentals like paddle boards and kayaks which are much easier to navigate from the lagoon but the whole«beach» situation is out of hand with all that walking!

Can’t recommend these guys enough. Tigertail is a special place, made better by the folks that run this shop. My little guys love getting a paddleboard when we go, and the staff always do their best to try to get them the right fit(a board for two, letting us downgrade to a board for 1 when they start to bicker, etc.) They’ve also got helpful amenities like suncreen and nice hats/shirt that aren’t wildly overpriced, and help protect from the sun. Half of the SWAG my kids get from our trips to Marco have been bought from these guys. You’re missing out if you’re not taking your kids to Tigertail, and planning to spend some time with these guys.
