This is a good little taqueria with reasonable prices and good food. I had some carne asada tacos with beans and rice. The meat lacked much flavor, but the tortillas held together well which is a big deal. I always try salsas with great anticipation and maybe a little fear. In this case, no need to fret, the hottest salsa was still quite mild.

I have been here 3 times since I discovered this joint last week. Best AUTHENTIC Mexican food in the Venice/Santa Monica area. You can’t go wrong with this joint. On my first visit I played it safe and had the Carne Asada, Al Pastor, and Lengua(beef tongue) tacos. They were on point! 2nd visit I had a wet carne asada burrito, and on my 3rd visit I ordered the carnitas plate. I haven’t been disappointed yet with this place and really doubt they could mess up. Prices are very reasonable. There is parking in this small strip mall. Only downside is that they close at 10pm. So on weekends when you want great Mexican food late at night you’ll have to look elsewhere

I’m a regular here. Basic, quality Mexican favorites delivered hot and fresh. The staff is always friendly. Burritos are first rate and really filling(I often get two meals out of one). The line can be long and the customers are overwhelmingly Mexican(a really good sign). You can eat in or take out. The seating is limited but rarely all taken and you can eat at outside tables if you don’t mind listening to Washington Blvd.

Good food, but the cashier stole my sister’s phone when she was paying at the register! We have reported Leticia to the police and want her phone back. We are also reporting this to the news. My sister was not feeling well and the cashier took her phone. When I called and the police called, Leticia hung up on us. What kind of business steals from their customers? We are 5th generation from Los Angeles and reporting this to all agencies. Give back my sister’s phone that you stole Leticia. That is horrible and unacceptable. Give her phone back.

My husband and I come here every Saturday after kickboxing religiously. The breakfast burrito is fresh, full of flavor, and filling! I’ve also tried the tacos, chile verde, and carne asada fries, and each meal delivered! I would highly recommend this restaurant.

I came here with a friend who gave it rave reviews. I wanted to like it. I was disappointed. I ordered the«all meat» burrito with al pastor, which explicitly and redundantly said that meat was the ONLY thing inside the burrito, and nothing but meat. Seriously. I then got it «the pancho villa» style, which came smothered in enchilada sauce, sour cream, and jack & cheddar cheese. So I was surprised(unpleasantly, in my case) to discover that it was also topped with copious gobs of guacamole. I told the cashier that nowhere in my order’s description was guac mentioned, and the picture was likewise without the distinctive green clumps. They dismissed me, saying«that’s how it(The Pancho Villa) comes» and I begrudgingly accepted their error(and apparent illiteracy, as they couldn’t adequately convey through the written words of their menu) and said I would just manage myself, not wanting to inconvenience them by forcing them to waste an otherwise perfectly fine burrito simply because I’m one of the few Angelenos who doesn’t appreciate guac. So I take the meal to my seat, scrape off the guac, and make the best of it. Well, it turns out that«all meat» means — at least in the case of al pastor — «mostly onions» in practice. Seriously, I couldn’t taste the meat, or anything else, because the overwhelming onion taste. This was not what I expected, and had the onions not been overpowering, I would have soldiered on — I was hungry after all. But alas, the prevalence of the onion flavor spoiled what had been a considerable appetite. I brought the burrito back to the cashier, and expressed my discontent. They just told me that — unlike every other al pastor I’ve ever had — their take on the meat involves copious amounts of onions integral to the preparation and a suspicious lack of a spit. Curt, and dismissive, without even a token effort to see me satisfied, I discarded the remaining half of the burrito and left. Since 1 star is the equivalent to zero, I gave them 2 stars because their complementary chips, good salsa bar, the decent value, and quality of preparation and ingredients

Super clean & the staff is very friendly. I had just sat down & my food was already ready. Might I add, it was delicious! I did the carne asada burrito with both red & green sauce. They also serve tortilla chips. I topped it with a Mexican bottled Coke.

I come here all the time, never disappointed. Bomb eats for the price. Can’t go wrong… the asada fries are easily my favorite item on the menu.

I’ve come to the conclusion that sometimes the best food you can find is in the most unassuming of places. I’m serious, I was not expecting to find delicious, and authentic Mexican at this divey looking strip mall hero. Not the most glamorous place to eat by any stretch of the imagination. But to me, there’s nothing better than getting delicious food at very low prices. And man, is this place cheap. It comes equipped with a salsa bar(that could probably benefit from adding a little heat) but I digress. I had the pork chili verde. Pork was not only surprisingly tender, but also tasted incredibly fresh. There’s probably not a whole lot that goes into these dishes, but there’s no need to. They are simple and they are good. If you’re a fan of these things as well, I’m confident you can find your fix here.

The best Mexican food! The prices are very reasonable. The chips are always fresh. We get the chicken enchilada dinner every week and we just love it. Guests who have visited just love the food. This place is not your typical MDR tourist restaurant and you will love it.

I was reasonably optimistic when I walked in to see a small unpretentious taco joint packed with dozens of hungry and happy-looking men in work clothes. And indeed the results are delicious. The carnitas and al pastor tacos both had good flavor and basic toppings and particularly excellent corn tortillas — substantial yet pliable and perfect for the bite. Nice salsa bar too.

Good place for a fast bite. The good is good. It’s not too expensive. It’s good for a quick lunch or if you just want to hang out. The owners are very nice and courteous they explain well and the food does give you an authentic Mexican food.

Just an avarage Mexican fast food joint. Nothing special really. Cons: No restroom or even a sink to wash hands. Dining areas are totally neglected and filthy at times. Makes you wonder how clean the kitchen is. Pros: Were not found yet.

¡Ay Chihuahua! Me encanta Lengua! Long before Taco Bell taught a small pup to speak English, I’ve been a fan of Lengua Tacos and Lengua Burritos. I’m all about the silly soft Beef Tongue meat when done right. A mighty Lengua Burrito from Taqueria Chihuahua was filling though not fabulous. I’d definitely get it again when in the area. It comes with a scoop of Tortilla Chips. I grabbed some spicy Salsas and Jalapeño Slices from the small Salsa Bar to round out my one course meal. Taqueria Chihuahua is a tiny and convenient local fast food Taco dealer. With free parking and relatively easy in/out access to Washington, there’s no reason I won’t stop in again for a Lengua Burrito or Taco. ¡Dios Mio! ¡Ay Chihuahua!
