Called the restaurant this evening to ask about some weekday special/events/happy hours and and not so politely demanded I check the website. Super awesome customer service. Thank you for human connection guys. She muddled her name but I believe it was Kelly

Mediocre rip-off margaritas that claim to have more alcohol than they do. Save your money go somewhere else.

This place is totally underrated! We had a great happy hour here to celebrate our friend’s «back to cali» party. Our margaritas were great — not at all watered down as other Unilocalers mentioned. Our table’s server, Ellie, did a wonderful job answering our many questions and even warming up one of our friends’ appetizer. I absolutely recommend this place for happy hour, especially the margaritas and potato + cheese + carne asada food thingy.

Save your $ and time! Went here today and was completely disappointed. First, the food was mediocre at best and this was after ordering the servers recommendations. The cheese dip was hardly warm and within not even 2 minutes became cold on our table. The rest of the food tasted like something I could’ve made at home. For the drink, we ordered a blended margarita to split. This had barely any flavor and tasted like pure ice. I also didn’t seem to notice if they even put alcohol in it and if they did it wasn’t a proper ratio to the size of the drink. Definitely not worth the $ 18 it cost. The service was«ok». At first I thought the server was good, but then she started to lack in timeliness of checking on us and fulfilling simple requests like bringing the check. Our dessert took so long to make that we ended up requesting it to go and somehow it still made it to us before our requested check. The dessert was also not good at all and I love both bananas and cheesecake. Personally, I believe the prices are high for the type of food and service offered. On top of this, expect to have an additional 4.9% surcharge added onto your bill for living wage increases. According to the restaurant this is so they do not have to raise prices for their food. However, I eat out on a regular basis and their prices already seem the same if not higher than other places in the area for what you get. On a $ 49 tab for watered down drinks, some apps and a burnt dessert, you can also expect to pay $ 2.40 for the fee, plus tip for your slow service, so expect to add on about a quarter of your bill to be spent on fees and service.

So I was a regular here and other Cabo location for years. But one really bad experience will never allow me to spend money with this business ever again. I came for the happy hour with a group of friends. Long story short, there was a mix up with the bill and I was charged for drinks I did not order. I politely ask the waitress to adjust the bill and she kept brushing me off, ultimately telling me I just had to pay it and«get over it». I then ask for a manager, I was given the run around. Was told the«manager was too busy to speak». What business do you go to where a manager is too busy to speak to a disgruntled customer? When I continued to ask for a manager the waitress sent the security to our table to try and Bully me into paying the bill. I continued to insist to speak to a manager, when he finally came. He basically told me that the waitress was the best employee he has and that I needed to pay without even asking me what my issue or concern was. VERYUNPROFESSIONAL. All which I find very unusual because I never seen that waitress work in there ever and I had been there every week for a month consistently. I don’t remember any names. But the manager was a tall, bald, fit white male Who also worked as a bartender.

Where do I begin, this was the 1st location I went to when i got situated in the hotel. We walked down to this spot that my fraternity brother recommended. Initially I was set back at it being a Mexican food restaurant, I’m not a big fan of much Hispanic food, but a different state, a different mindset so I decided to give it a try… G R E A T Simple and plain with the explanation of the food, I had fajitas and my girlfriend decided on the Cabo burrito. Everything was cooked very well and the sautéed peppers and onions combined with the fajita meat were great. They gave us Mexican rice and black beans also as an add on to the fajitas. My only drawback came from the amount of available space and the speed of service. Of course with tons of people in a small area the waitresses have to divert their attention in every direction so if it’s packed, chances are you wont get tons of service when you want it.

This place kinda sucks. Margs are sugary mixture of mediocre artificial flavor. You know you’re in a certain type of restaurant when the waitress leads with, «Can I have your CC because sometimes people leave without paying.» It’s not terrible, but it’s not good.

I am not big on alcohol, but I had fun drinking the huge blended margarita. Steak fries are nice too; they won’t fill you up, but it is a nice appetizer. I knocked off two stars because of the rude black female server. That girl refused to serve me and my friend, and my friend had to get up every time we wanted something to order. I saw the bartender pointing at us and telling her to come check on us, and she shook her head and walked away, and the bartender came out of her post to ask how were the fries. She would glance at us once in a while or zoom past our table and serve EVERYONE else. I am dark skinned and my friend is Hispanic, so I guess she thought we wouldn’t tip well? Hey black mamba, if you are reading this, my hair is real, unlike yours, and if I were the server there instead of you, I would be making twice as much in tips, because I am much friendlier than you.

Horrible service. I asked for a margarita on the rocks, got it blended. Asked for a piña colada with sugar on the rim, got salt on the rim. Rice & beans that came with my shrimp tacos were cold. Asked for limes… Still waiting on them. My boyfriend’s quesadilla came without steak in it. Twice. Wondering who this wonderful waitress was? You’ll know her by the many times she will call you and everyone at the table«babe.»

This place used to be so fun but has now completely turned to shit. Bouncers and security are extremely rude right off the back. You can tell they hate their jobs. They have a new rule: no fitted hats, no exceptions but only on Tuesdays. That’s fine, so I take it off, but no they make you leave it in the car(we ubered there so I had to go hide my hat in the bushes somewhere) bouncer still kept an eye on us to make sure we didn’t sneak the hat in. Seriously?! Servers are incompetent. They say all you can eat tacos are all night, but once I get my first batch I’m told that I’m not allowed to order refills. Also felt very rushed by server. On top of that she lost my debit card! They now play country music. Just not a great environment. The bar is noticeably emptier than previous years. It seems like they are intentionally driving business away. Soon as we walked in, I felt a very strong vibe that no one in staff wanted us to be there.

Like all cabo cantinas, not the cleanest but you know what you are getting. Drinks are cheap and the t.v.s are on sports. A great place to take a rest from the Venice shenanigans and maybe grab some sloppy nachos.

False advertising, they intentionally screw over people. Spoke to the manager and he left mid conversation and never came back. Nice. Two for one happy hour special? They advertised it for Saint Patrick’s Day– literally advertising on every table and when I asked for the deal they said, «it was canceled» talking to other people at the bar and it seems like a common occurrence. So frustrating

Met up with my cousin from Texas here for dinner and drinks before heading to a comedy show in Santa Monica . Awesome Margarita selection, good food and friendly service. We got to watch a beautiful sunset on the beach and its a great spot for people watching

I always have a good time when at Cabo Cantina. Sure-it’s a bit touristy for locals, but its ambience guarantees a fun time. There’s indoor/outdoor seating and a rooftop outdoor bar. It’s the perfect spot for grabbing strong margaritas and watching football games. Awesome place to hangout & the waitresses are always so friendly. Parking will be tough-so I suggest Über. It’s first come, first serve seating. So I probably wouldn’t recommend for larger parties, but if you can find a big enough table, go for it! Overall: cool vibes. Sunsets are awesome. Located right off the boardwalk, I would bring any of my out of town friends here.

This is Disneyland for adults! Well at least for it is. I love coming here anytime of the used. To use to mainly come on Sunday Fundays. But really any day is guaranteed a good time. I’ve been to three locations and this is by far the best location. Parking: Its LA so of course there isn’t going to be any parking. Venice is jam packed and bumper to bumper. Your best bet is to just pay for parking or valet. But even then you have to walk so I can get annoying. Luckily, every time I go I find a good spot right in the front. Just make sure you keep up with the meters. Location: well it seems small inside, but I think a lot of people just like coming here. They have two floors. I like to sit upstairs; you get a better view ;-). They’re drinks are good and inexpensive. Especially during their happy, guaranteed a good time. I would recommend getting their nachos. They are the best I’ve ever tried. If you know of a better spot please let me know because I really can’t find one. Cabo in Venice is very diverse and you touristy. They have TV’s all around for games and such. It’s loud and kick back place. Follow my IG page @FOODGURULA

Came here with my sister to see the Cotto vs. Canelo fight. I will say that as a customer, I did NOT like seeing how Cabo had only one employee serving an entire room of drunks and assholes. Needless to say, the waitress was amazing that night and she held it down like a boss. I was really impressed at how she was keeping it together, even though people were screaming and shouting at her a million things at the same time. We ended up ordering margaritas, and a case of carne asada fries. They were alright — but too bland for my taste. The worst part of the night is when we got this old guy to sit next to us and he started hitting on my sister and just talking non-stop about his life and the old times. Like okay, you old fuck — I have no time to hear your story from the 1940’s. But okay… Needless to say, this place was okay. I would recommend it for sporting events. It’s a cool atmosphere. The only thing that killed it for me personally, were how a group of young people in the back of the room kept screaming and shouting and my ears were ringing by the end of the night. All in all, I enjoyed this place.

This will be quick… Food was ok. Only item I thought was tasty was the steak tacos. Drinks were normal, nothing that blew me out of water. I do like the happy hour prices though. Waitress was horrible in the beginning. She was rude, wouldn’t let us finish our sentence. She would cut us off or give us attitude for asking for napkins and silverware! Towards the end, when it wasn’t as busy, she became nicer! I will not come back!!!

I went to this location for Happy Hour with my friends on a Thursday evening. My friends got there about 10 minutes before me and got a table upstairs where there is a view of the ocean. When I arrived our waitress let us know she was going on break and was going to close out the tab and we would get a new waitress. Probably 15 – 20 min later the new waitress came over after we summoned for her twice and I was finally able to order a drink and food. The service is just slow and inconsistent. I ordered a Rosa-Rita margarita which was delicious and the macho nachos. The nachos were pretty good, but my friend ordered the carne asada fries and they were so bomb. I will get the fries if I ever go back. The downside of the menu is they charge for chips and salsa. I didn’t know this actually occurred at Mexican restaurants during happy hour. I guess there is a first for everything. Lol

Came here after work with my coworkers. We took advantage of the 2 for 1 drinks specials. $ 11 for two double shot margaritas. Coronas were 2 for $ 6. It was on a Sunday night so it was not very packed and there was plenty of parking in front of c&o. Patron El Dorado and the peach margarita(forgot the name) were the drinks of choice. I would give them a B+. Also had some steak cut fries and shrimp tacos, which were surprisingly good. Service was great except for the part where she forgot to bring my coworkers Coke after twice reminding her about it. Would definitely come back, especially for the two for 1 drink specials!

Ok. I will say this. The food(at least the tacos) are really quite good! They were All You Can Eat for $ 5.95 With the purchase of 1 drink(can be non-alcoholic) so I was really surprised by the quality. Another thing, and I don’t know if this matters to anyone, but the napkins at this place suck. When you’re eating messy handheld food and the only cleaning accessory disintegrates with each finger wipe it is easy to get frustrated. The surprise in quality came from the condition of the establishment. It wasn’t dirty, just that It felt like at any point there’s going to be a Cinco De Mayo meets Mardi Gras inspired frat party. Togas optional. I would maybe go back, but I gotta say that the atmosphere is severely lacking.
