I love this place. Great staff– Extremely knowledgable and helpful. Great rates for renting boards/​wet suits and know the perfect times to get out in the waves.

This shop lacks retail knowledge and basic professionalism. Inventory is mostly old items and everything is up-​charged. Look up any item in the store online and you’ll see you’re paying more than double the price for old product. The store itself is dirty with dust balls around the floor and on the shelves, I wouldn’t be surprised if this place had dust mites. Lastly, it is not a coincidence that multiple people have commented on the rude behavior of the staff.

I agree with the people above; straight up rude. More importantly, this is not a surf shop, but a women’s clothing boutique. They use the location to front as a shop, but in reality, not even close. They belong in Beverly Hills, not Venice.

Very rude staff. Made us feel very uncomfortable and was making accusations about us in front of us to each other about shoplifting. We’ve both worked in retail and would never do such a thing. We even bought a dress and they continued treating us poorly.

Such great customer service… helped us purchase our first gopro! Couldn’t have done it without them. Thanks to the owner David! Check out the shop has great stuff to buy and rent!

Great surf shop. Great selection. the owner Dave is a really fair dude. I had to return a shirt and he gave me no problems at all. I don’t know what’s up with the one reviewer who claimed all kinds of issues with this place. The guys and gal there are totally chill. Will definitely stop in again when in Cali. Dave. Hit em straight!

Great local surf shop with a quintessential laid-​back SoCal vibe. I’ve gone there for a wetsuit, wax and even surf lessons. If you’re from out of town they’ve got various rentals whether your plans are for the beach or bike path (which are both a block away). Dave is the owner and can often be found behind the counter with insights on the nearby waves or life in general.

By far the worst customer service i have ever experienced in my life. I hope all of you reading this listen to my advice and never go to this awful store. Everything is extremely overpriced and the owner is one of the rudest people i have ever met.
I had stopped in this store one evening when i had nothing to wear and bought a dress as a backup outfit. I wasn’t in love with it and it was a little big, but bought it anyway just incase. I went into the store yesterday afternoon to return it and the woman working the counter told me it was store credit only. I was a little frustrated when i heard this because 1) they never told me about their store credit policy when i first purchased the dress and 2) this information wasn’t visually posted anywhere. A male employee who was also working interrupted and told me that there actually was a posting about the store credit… (which was hidden behind the cash register and in size 10 font)… again, i became frustrated because the guy who was telling me this was being EXTREMELY rude. I got over it and was willing to take my store credit. When i gave them the dress back the guy interrupted again and accused me of wearing the dress and showed me what looked like a dust stain or deodorant stain on the dress. I swore to him i never wore the dress or even took it out of the bag after i had tried it on at the store. He said they could not accept the dress and proceeded to accuse me of lying while he was laughing at me. I couldn’t believe it. He was such an a**hole. I’m getting worked up just thinking about it again. What happened to the customer always being right? or showing a little respect? I wish i could give this place zero stars. Hopefully karma comes back to them.

Great place to rent or take lessons! Their instructor has TONS of know how and is fun to be around! We rented both surf boards and bikes neither of which broke the bank! Thanks to VB Surf we had an amazing weekend in Venice!
