Happy hour walk in, stopped by to let rush hour die down. Good location awesome patio great service. We had $ 5 happy wine and $ 5 happy beer, very good quality for happy hour drinks. Limited menu for food, including happy hour. Overall great service, location, & ambience but lack off menu selection and happy hour selection gives it a 3 star.

I liked the place a lot. You can sit outside, the staff takes care that you feel well and that everything is to your satisfaction. The burger tasted good, I got some help choosing the right beer. All in all, a very satisfying experience.

Stopped in for happy hour on a Friday night. The beer special was very good, a Mexican blonde that I hadn’t tried before. Big pints for $ 5. The highlight was the fish tacos tho. Tina tartare, not the standard you might expect with fried fish. They are delicious! It’s like a spicy sushi roll in a hard shell taco. You get 3 for 8 bucks, but they are excellent. Gonna order another round now!

Nice quiet place just off the beach(I might be lucky, it was Wednesday at 2PM) but service was fast and friendly. Nice selection of IPA beer and even though the menu is a little limited. Four people including myself split two sides(fries and sweet potato fries) and a burger. 1 friend got a margarita pizza, which was a little greasy for such an easy pizza. 2 of us got the Joe(?) burger which was amazing! A friend got the Larry and couldn’t finish it(to which they let us box so I could steal it later) The prices weren’t super cheap but that’s not to be expected from what looked like a place that could be pretty happening when it’s summer and or a holiday. So Minus one star for the greasiness but I’m back in a week or two so I’ll have to try again ;)

The service was slow and the Pizza over baked, nice looking place but no sense of urgency serving the customer :)

The food here made me sick. The hamburger buns are disgusting and stale. They don’t have anything with cooked lean meat on the menu. It’s all either extremely greasy, or vegan, or raw.

Had so much fun here. Ruairi was very helpful and would come back just because she was attentive and hilarious. I love Larry’s and I will recommend this to all my friends — and the taco pizza.(It was a-may-zing). Casual, well priced and tasty. Do it.

Pleasantly surprised. I didn’t expect too much here because their menu was kind of limited. We decided to just share a couple things between three people and eat again later(restaurant hopping, it’s a thing in my world, OK!?) The pizza was actually pretty decent. Shared the Margherita pie. They didn’t do that great of a job with the mozz though, there was a lot of liquid dripping off the slice. Other than that, it was good. Also tried the fish and chips — fish was good although not salty enough. Fries were really good. Decent beer selection. Good atmosphere. Very friendly waitress.

Very casual atmosphere. Big bright red comfy benches was warm brown wood tables. Multi colored chairs makes it just a perfect place to sit on the beach and have one of their many IPA and/or spirits. The décor matches the concept of celebrating local artists and artistry. But back to the food. I had to Larry’s burger medium well. It was cooked perfectly. Caramelized onions and red onions really did the trick. In short a great burger. I have a top shelf margarita made with some local tequila. I forget the name. I’m on round number 2. Got no where to be for a while so we might do that again. For dessert sticky toffee pudding pretty straightforward absolutely delicious caramel sauce is awesome but no ice cream creamy and fresh.

I truly wish there was a zero-star option. This place is an absolute joke. We arrived on a Friday afternoon and the place was dead, but it still took about 15 minutes for a waiter to actually approach our table to ask us for our drink order. After receiving our lukewarm beers, we placed our food order. I ordered the arugula salad and my boyfriend got a burger. The portions were small and unsatisfying and still cost more than I’d ever want to pay for a crappy bowl of wilted arugula and some cheese. My boyfriend said his burger is «fine» but he’d rather have gone through a drive-thru if that’s what he knew he was being served. TLDR; Bad service, embarrassingly overpriced food, warm beer. Don’t waste your time.

Thumbs up! Wasn’t expecting much. Figured it was a tourist spot so went in not expecting good service or good food to be honest but service was great. They were attentive, friendly and quick. The drinks were okay. I ordered the Moscow mule but it wasn’t served in the traditional copper mug and seemed watered down. The fish tacos were crispy, fresh and flavorful. The mushroom pizza was good, the crust was a little thick for my liking but flavor was good with the arugula and cheese. The mushrooms were very minimal though. Loved the outdoor seating area. The weather was perfect, the lighting on point and good décor. Nice place to relax after a long day at the beach.

Came here with some out of town guests because it is right next to the boardwalk and other Venice Beach attractions. They have a very nice patio space with good lighting, a fireplace and good chill music playing. It is pretty difficult to find parking nearby unless you are willing to pay. The service was quick and friendly. It’s mostly a burger place. One issue I have with them is that they charge about $ 15 for a burger and give no side with it. You have to order fries separately. Such a rip off! Everyone at our table ordered burgers but since I do not eat meat and they do not offer veggie burgers I went with their mushroom truffle risotto special. Sounds good right?! NOPE! It came out like milky gross porridge. I am one who will eat just about anything and I tried to! I asked for sriracha to drown out the grossness, but I still couldn’t do it. When the server came over and asked how our food was I let her know. They took it away and apologized. Of course they did not charge us for it, duh! But by the time they took it away everyone was half way through their meals so I did not order anything else. I did have some of the sweet potato fries which were good. It’s a nice atmosphere and everyone enjoyed their burgers but a total tourist trap considering the cost.

Yum, yum, yum! I’ve been dreaming of this place since we went. I must say that’s a rare thing for me these days so you know it’s good! I love this small beach side restaurant. They had several amazing dinner specials, but their regular menu was just as awesome. I wish we lived closer then Vegas so we could try all the things! After much looking over the menu my mom decided on the Larry Burger which had dry aged beef, cheddar cheese and grilled onions. It was the best burger I’ve ever tasted. We also shared a side a fries that had a trio of dipping sauces. Joel ordered the Meat Lovers Pizza. It had tons of meat chorizo, bacon, sausage, and prosciutto. I have trouble eating pizza now days and this pizza I could eat. It’s cooked in a wood fire oven and the sauce had such a fresh taste. Really a perfect pizza. I ordered the Fish Tacos. It’s a twist on a taco because it had a wonton chip as a shell, the filling is a tuna tartar, it had avocado and a spicy mayo. You get three tacos and it was a perfect bite of food. Really great spice and the tuna quality was excellent. Our waiter was very helpful when explaining the specials and menu items. Extremely friendly too. He was very quick to fill up our drinks and get our bill out when we were done. Next time I’m in Venice I’ll for sure be hitting up Larry’s! I’ve made myself hungry just by writing this review!

First of all there is nothing wrong with the food, the food is fine! What’s really bad is the service. They are friendly but really slow. We waited like ten minutes before we could order some drinks and again like a ten minutes before the drinks were served. The food came quite quickly, and tasted well but not really special. I ordered a second orange juice as well(which was too expensive for a non-freshly squeezed juice and no refill) which came after we had asked for our check! How ever the waitress was really nice, no bad talk about her. But all the services could be more faster.

Checked in here on Unilocal and got a free order of Sweet Potato Fries as a starter. I ordered the Joe’s Burger, medium cooked. It came with a huge pickle on the side. I also had a slice of my friends BBQ Chicken Pizza. The pizza was delicious. It’s not like other places where all you can taste is the BBQ sauce. Each of us had a drink as well. Because of the drought, water is not given unless one asks for it. The service was great. Food came quickly. Our waitress had our free fries out first which was good since we were starving. Our waters were filled without having to ask. There was someone walking around collecting empty plates which kept the table clear. I’m not sure about the parking situation. It looked a bit crazy in the area. We parked in one of the garages on the Santa Monica pier and biked over.

I come for the pizza and to people watch on the patio. Larry’s, I think, is better for tourists. Those from Los Angeles know there’s better food and better pricing. Monday’s service was pretty bad. Rest room was beyond gross(and on a Monday afternoon?) Beer list is good. I’ll continue to come to Larry’s when down that way. I just know what to expect so I don’t get disappointed.

Great place for a drink and some food… Love the outdoorish seating area. Great for big groups and office happy hours. They make a strong whiskey sour and the big pretzels are delicious!

I came here after seeing this place featured by Andrew Zimmern for their squid ink pasta. It was happy hour though and I couldn’t resist the Larry’s burger since it was discounted to $ 8, instead of the normal $ 11. I received a free side of fries with a Unilocal check in. They initially brought me the sweet potato fries, but they quickly swapped them out. The fries turned out to be nothing special, but they came with 3 dipping sauces, one ketchup, one cilantro sauce, and one that looked like chipotle sauce. I didnt really like any of the 3 sauces. The burger did turn out to be pretty good though and cooked to my specifications. A juicy medium rare which turned out delicious with their dry aged ground beef they use. Only thing I didn’t love about the burger was the bun! The restaurant wasn’t very busy for 6 pm on a weekday during the summer, but it probably gets busier later on. Service was very attentative.

Larry’s is a great spot right in the heart of Venice Beach. The ginger curry mussels are ONPOINT! I also tried a squid ink pasta dish with seafood and a red sauce. I wish I could remember the name, but it was also really tasty. There is a full bar and when I went there was also a seasonal beer menu. That scored a brownie point cause I LUHBEER. Only problem was the service. It took a really long time for someone to drop by and give us menus and whatnot. But it got better throughout the meal.
