McDonald’s

McDonald’s. This is. Great McDonald’s. Food is always hot. Friendly service. I go here frequently for play land. Always nice clean place. Also quick.

Seriously, people. The group working at lunch when I stopped for a simple cheeseburger and fries desperately needs a crash refresher course at «Hamburger U». What ever happened to the concept of taking a order and simply filling it? The individual at the register kept taking orders Others would put item on «my» tray and tell me my order was complete — as if! Those items were later transferred to other trays or to carry out bags –or, in one case, thrown in the trash. Granted this was lunch, but mine wasn’t the only order treated like this. In conversations with my fellow patrons, I learned that several had opted to come in since it was faster than drive-​up. I was able to witness the staggering line of cars when I left. It wasn’t like the restaurant was understaffed, there were so many workers they were in each other’s way. Don’t bother stopping here at peak times.

Small McDonald’s right off of I-​57, while filling up on gas, I went thru the drive thru and we ordered mozz sticks and fries, the cashier advised it would be cheaper to order off the 2 for 2 menu so we added a cheeseburger. As soon as we paid the order was ready. Food was fresh and good. Service was pleasant as well. Definitely a decent McDonald’s to hit up while traveling on I-​57.

My girlfriend and I drove all day, and finally stopped to get something to eat. We needed wi-​fi to finish a college a paper, and that was due online shortly. We came to McDonald’s because first, we expected good food, and second, wi-​fi, as is written on the door! But the wi-​fi didn’t work, and the manger I asked was rude, blunt, and didn’t reslove it. I’m Extremely annoyed, and mad. Proves that you cannot always rely on consistency of McDonald’s. My trust is broken, my GPA is broken, and the wifi is broken. Thanks for nothing McDonald’s.

As far as McD’s, this location made the chili chicken wrap better than most. It was very tasty. They also made the ice coffee just right. Tables were clean and I like the children’s play room which is light and airy. The bathroom actually had paper towels. I cannot remember seeing paper towels in a McD’s in ages. Just the blow dryer.

Ah, yes, Highway 57 can be a long and brutal drive. Luckily, one can find a McDonald’s conveniently located right off the highway, along with a 24 hour drive thru.
We all know that McDonald’s are not 4 and 5 star dining establishments, but they can definitely be 4 and 5 star businesses. This particular location had a lady working the drive thru who made my drive and pit stop off the highway a little brighter. So polite and pleasant, at 3 AM nonetheless, that I debated sucking down my iced coffee just to circle around for another. I probably should have. I needed the caffeine.
The only thing you’ll really see me pull into a McDonald’s for on a road trip is a coffee beverage of some sort or their breakfast, which I find hard to say no to when given the option. If you decide you need a McDonald’s to exit for, this is a good one. Pull off for some coffee and an Egg McMuffin. After all, you do need fuel to keep on driving!

It’s McDonalds… if you have been to one you have been to them all. Cheap and easy but it will leave you feeling like poop later. :(
