Overall this hotel was nice. Room was updated and clean but smelled like an ashtray. Lobby area is small. Also no elevator that I saw. Parking lot/entryway could’ve used more lighting. Was good for a one night stay.

4-star review for a super 8? no mistake here. easily the nicest(of the bottom shelf) hotels i’ve ever seen. such a steal for $ 61 a night. you don’t book a room at a super 8 expecting to stay at a sheraton, but for what it is and what you pay, it gets the job done better than the surrounding hotels. they offer free wifi(a tad slow), all day coffee, and continental breakfast which includes a legit waffle maker, yogurt, apples, pb, etc. they’re also pet friendly for $ 10 a night. defintely your best bet if you have a quick stopover in the beautiful town of marion, il.

Stopped off in Marion on the way to Memphis(instead of driving all the way) and went with the old Super 8 based on all around decent reviews. Not sure if I’ll ever be in Marion ever again but would certainly come back to this perfectly pleasant, no-fills motel just a couple of minutes off the I-57. The room is pretty much what you’d expect in terms of décor and comfort, although I actually was quite impressed with the quality of the mattress: not only did we get two queen beds as opposed to the usual double, it was much more comfortable than I would have expected, which was a nice surprise. They’re either splurging on quality mattress or had recently changed them, so either way I was happy after a long drive. Bathroom was also fine and didn’t have any problems with cleanliness or anything for that matter. Refrigerator worked well, had a slight issue with the Wi-Fi(which was resolved by April, the very nice girl working the front desk) and all of the other little assorted things(A/C, shades, noise level etc.) weren’t an issue. The breakfast was pretty basic and a step down from what you’d get at a Holiday Inn, Best Western et al. but that’s probably to be expected for what you’re paying. It ain’t The Ritz and I don’t know how comfortable I’d be if I were there for an extended period of time but if you’re just passing through and need a place to rest your head for a night, you certainly can’t go wrong for eighty bucks a night.

Very friendly, clean and convenient. There’s free wifi and coffee available all the time. I would totally stay here especially since it’s clean and doesn’t have any bugs at all.

Vey clean and comfortable. Renovated in recent years. I was concerned about the adjacent truck stop but it was still very quiet. Clean room with nice shower. Free continental breakfast with proverbial waffle maker. For the money, this is a good stop and I would stay here again.

Friendly staff, clean room, quiet night’s sleep. Basic hotel breakfast a nice extra. Rooms very spare and dated but very clean with comfortable beds. For the price I can’t imagine a better stay. Recommended!

Friendly front desk. Clean Room. Microwave, Mini-fridge and coffeemaker in room. Room included 2 queens and was quiet(though It is likely a bit more noisy on the side of the Motel that faces the truck stop) Low price included a basic breakfast and free WIFI. At the price I paid, this was much better than expected!

We got the«suite» since we were traveling with an extra person. The room was plenty large, although it wasn’t divided into two rooms. Even worse, it came with just one king bed. There was a roll-away next to the bed which was way too uncomfortable for an adult to sleep on. We had to sleep on the couch. No, it didn’t pull out to a bed. The hotel shares it’s lot with Vern’s 24-hour truck garage and the vehicles woke us up in the morning. They do offer a basic breakfast and McDonald’s is next door.
