Some of the best pizza I’ve had, I’ve been there 5 times now, tried a new special pizza each time, and each time it was amazing

Great addition to the Marlborough pizza scene. I’ve only ever gotten the cheese pizza, but it’s so good I want to get it every time! Great balance of cheese and sauce, crispy and chewy dough. Clean, inviting location. Owner is very friendly and personable. It’s right down the street, and I will be frequenting them often.

Wood fired pizza is fine and they warn you it might be a bit charred and that’s ok. Unfortunately, the garden pizza with eggplant, garlic and red peppers had huge pieces of eggplant and whole garlic cloves which made it a bit of a mess. Mine was also way more charred than the other one we got.

Excellent service the owner was very friendly and shared some pizza knowledge with me and my colleagues from Ohio. The pie was even better than the service! It was an outstanding pizza, I lived in Chicago for 5 years and this pie would stack up against the best. Highly recommend.

This is a simple pizza shop, but simple in this case means simply fantastic. Excellent wood fired brick oven pizza, very nice owner(friendly with my kids and patient with their questions), and pretty quick. Not so much a restaurant, more for take out, but it’s hard to find better pizza anywhere! Good gluten free pizza, too! Wish they served tap water for dine in,(they have only bottled) but otherwise right on!

This place is wonderful and Dave was extremely accommodating to our large party — and allowed us to bring in a cake for my son’s birthday. Great pizza, attentive service!

Good pizza, but he should clean the oven a little. It was late in the day and our pizza had a lot of burnt corn meal on the bottom. I know it’s a wood fired oven, but the bottom of the oven could use a little scraping during the day. I’m not talking about a little char which is ok on wood fired pizza, this was thick burnt corn meal. I think it was an accumulation of corn meal from cooking all day. Also they should get bigger boxes so the pizza doesn’t have to get folded on the edges to fit in the box. Besides that it was good pizza, but I don’t get the sliced sausage thing and not chunks.

ordered for the first time todsy, Got a pizza a Flatbread & onion rings. t The pizza was good with mestbell, mushroom & Carmelized onions but thought $ 15. was a bit pricey for a small pizza. crust was a bit too thin. also got a balsamic chicken Flatbread & onion rings. The Flatbread was good but lacking the balsamic sauce and the onion rings were not good. Too much breading & too thick so almost raw. The whole order came to $ 32 which was too expensive. The p, scene was very nice as we’re the staff but will have to really yin about another trip thrr.

When I first walked in I was warmly greeted by the owner. I’m a very picky eater, so naturally I opted out for something I’m comfortable with(penne with marinara) and he actually got my to try something different. I got Roasted«Vegetables, Garlic & Penne Rigate» as the menu calls it, and it was delicious. A friendly owner and good food, I’m there !

Small portion and prices are a little high but the pizza is excellent. Very fresh ingredients. It’s not for everyone but if you like this style pizza you won’t be disappointed. Can’t wait to try the wings.

We moved to the ‘burbs and are on the hunt for new local spots. We stopped by Kindles with a hungry toddler in tow. There are 30 unique pizza offerings with interesting ingredients as well an option to make your own unique pie. We had to order a more traditional cheese pizza(red sauce, chopped garlic, fresh basil, olive oil, balsamic glaze, provolone, mozzarella, sliced tomato) for the toddler to eat; my husband ordered the Hot Diavolo(pepperoni, chipotle honey, chopped cherry peppers, sriracha, buffalo red sauce, fresh mozzarella) Pizzas were good and baked in a huge wood-fired oven. The pies were a bit on the small side(about 12″), with a thin cracker-y crust. I prefer the more substantial crust of our old go-to coal-fired favorite pizza place in Newton Corner, Max and Leo’s. It would be nice if they sold some small slices of cheese pizza for the kiddos. Otherwise, nice place and we’ll certainly be back for more when the pizza cravings hit.

Great pizza!!! Not the best atmosphere and the service wasn’t that good. It seemed to be more of a take out place but the food was really good.

Kindles is a great concept, run by good people. They focus on fresh and homemade, even making their own ketchup. The pizzas come out well-done(as they should), and bursting with flavor. We’ve loved nearly everything we’ve had there. That being said, a few things do need some refinement. The menu errs toward the sweeter side too often. Sometimes just savory is good, y’know? Also, I got way too much of that aforementioned ketchup, as well as mustard, on my «All American» pizza. It was good, but in many bites the condiments overwhelmed the other toppings. Ketchup — less sugar, more cloves and onion, guys. That and calling anything a «Kalzone» makes me cringe. It smacks of kombat, komrade. Ugh. Once again, awesome, fresh, homemade… I’ll be back, often. They just need to work a few kinks out imho.

Tasty pizza on a crispy crust fired in a wood-burning oven. Was taken to a place with a similar offering in Boston and assumed I’d never find something like this in Marlborough. Then I tried Kindles. Go. You’ll be as delighted as I was. Delicious. And as others have noted, run by a really nice fellow,

I took the family here last week to see if this place was as good as all reviews I had been reading. It did not disappoint. If you are in searching for an alternative to the hundreds of Greek style pizza takeout places in the area, you’ve come to the right joint. This place is legit! Great brick oven style pizzas with a super friendly husband and wife owner duo make this my new favorite spot.

Quality Pizza I am not saying that this the best pizza that I have had lately, but you can really tell that the owner is putting a lot of effort into the product. This small pizza shop has a beautiful stone pizza oven basically right in the middle of the shop. It’s quite impressive. We ordered 2 pizzas, simple roni, and a ricotta and sausage. Quality dough, decent sauce, fresh toppings. 2 issues: They need to make the place bit more inviting when it comes to grabbing a couple of beers and eating a pizza in the place. The product, maybe the sauce, needs a bit more salt. We found the pizza to be a bit bland. Two thumbs up for the effort and freshness. Thanks

I was here for business and stumbled upon Kindles due to the high rating here on Unilocal. This place is off the hook. Truly the finest thin crust I’ve ever tasted. Very welcoming place and I’ll be dreaming of this place when I get back home to Denver.

Just got a pepperoni pizza to try out the thin crust. Pizza was amazing, I ate the whole thing! Honestly the best pizza I have ever had. Can’t wait to go back and try other flavors, of which there are many. Talked with the owner while I waited. Super nice guy, I wish him well with the new venture. Give it a try, you won’t be sorry!

Wow! Wow! That is really all I can say. Words can’t describe this pizza. I had the traditional pep pizza and by far it has been the best pizza I have tried in 10 years. Definitely going back to try something new if the pep was that good, I can’t wait to try the rest.

I just went here for lunch with my father, who was visiting the area. I told him there was a relatively new pizza place nearby that I have *really* wanted to try, but haven’t had the chance to. So off to Kindles we went! The prices may have been a bit high, but I like good, small, locally-owned restaurants so I wasn’t too shocked by them. Around $ 15⁄12 inch pizza seems about right for a well-made pizza(read: not fast-food pizza like many chains). Heck, that’s what is charged for a single mixed drink at some places in Boston so who am I to complain? Dad and I ordered one Hot Diavolo to split, and it was a good size for lunch. The woman who took our order recommended it as a good spicy pizza, which was just what we were looking for. The pizza itself was spectacular. There was a nice thin, crispy crust with a chewy edge to it and slight charring from the wood fire. The toppings were top-notch too. Someone(who I assume was the owner) came over to ask how the food was, and let us know that the chipotle honey sauce on top was made in-house. It’s those careful touches that make this a real gem of a place to go. Yes, while I could of course spend the same amount to get a slightly larger and lower-quality pizza from a chain, I would rather spend the money on *very* good food and support a small locally-owned business. This will be my go-to for pizzeria from now on.

Best pizza in town, no contest. I’m not usually a fan of thin crust pizza, but this is very well done. It comes out of the oven crisp and flavorful, not droopy and sad like most thin crust pizzas. It’s better if you eat in. I know, it’s weird to eat pizza in a restaurant these days but this crust is so thin that it will start to lose it’s crispness very quickly. By the time you get it home the trapped steam in the box will have turned an awesome crisp thin crust into a soggy mess. Eating it fresh out of the oven will be a much better experience. I love that they have non-traditional pizza options as well(like prosciutto, fig, fresh mozzarella and honey — damn that’s a good combination). If you like puffy, greasy slabs of dough covered in heavy cheese and pepperoni, then stick with Papa John’s or Domino’s. This isn’t just good pizza, it’s good food.

Hands down! This is going to be my favorite local pizzeria. I came because my brother recommended Kindle’s. I’m glad he did. . Gourmet pizza, not the run-of-the-mill pizzeria. No way. There is an extensive list of various gourmet pizzas. I want to try them all. Tonight I started with the Kindle’s Special #6. . Fresh ingredients, crispy thin crust, the way pizza SHOULD be!!! Wood oven baked! . I am definitely coming here again and again. I want to try the salads also. From the descriptions, they read like equally gourmet delights. Prices are the same as any local pizzeria.

This is a great new pizzeria with the igloo shaped wood fired oven where the fire is inside the oven. This gives the pizza a unique flavor. They have a blackboard with 30 pizzas, both traditional and modern combos. If you don’t see one you want they will custom build one. They have salads, calzones, and wings, but we only looked at the pizzas. I had a Hawaiian, a buddy had a gluten-free veggie, and another had a meat lovers. They were 10″ or so, thin crusted, that were both crisp and chewy as only a wood oven can provide. We were there late and talked to the owner as he prepared our food. He was a nice guy who explained his cooking technique, fire strategy, and many other things concerning the pizza. His love of the food and business were obvious. All in all it is a great place with a great pizza. I wish I was a local so I could be a regular.

Just ate their number 9 pizza. Basically meatball, peperponni, ricotta, red sauce… look, I went on and read the other reviews. There are a few bad reviews here. I must say though, of course the pizzas are a couple dollars more than you would pay for your Papa Johns or your Dominoes. They don’t hide the fact that this pizza is unique and high quality. Is it as filling? No, it is thin crust and a tad smaller than your average pizza. OK, all this being said, this pizza is freaking awesome!!! The flavor is delicious ANDUNIQUE. Yes, I paid for a unique and delicious experience. The pizza is in and out if this brick, wood flame oven in 4 minutes flat. The texture was very different and you can taste the fact that it was cooked in wood flame oven. There are many different flavors from which to choose and they do offer more than just pizza here as well. If you do decide to eat in the restaurant the atmosphere is nice enough, spacious enough, and well, somewhat unique. The oven is in the front nearest the entrance so you can see how this delicious pizza is made. The staff are helpful, friendly and eager to introduce you to this pizza. Also, they serve beer if you like a cold brewsky with your pizza. My opinion, it’s a Def yes! Need to try it. Oh, and just as an FYI Papa Gino’s charges just about the same for a pizza and it is quite inferior. —- just my opinion, of course.

We ordered take out from here tonight and it was awesome. We had a Perfect Sunset(pepperoni, banana peppers, jalapeños, pineapple, red sauce, and mozzarella), a Margherita, and buffalo wings. The Margherita could have been a little crisper, but such is the nature of that kind of pizza I think. The other pizza and wings were delicious. Definitely will be back!

Well, Finally real pizza in the area, no Greek pizza with greasy cheese and acidic tomato sauce here. Wood oven pizza is here! and with GLUTENFREE pizza to boot. There is only one size pizza, 12″ for about $ 10. You can add what ever you want on your pizza and real good quality toppings. There is a sub menu but I only went for the pizza. The pizza was excellent. I could eat an entire one my self so get 2 if your going to feed the kids too. My gluten free friends loved their pizza as well. Service was great, fast, courteous, they got the order right and fast. I will go again, we all should go again and again. Stop the dominoes, papa Gino’s, all the fast pizza joints. Get a real wood oven pizza, they do serve beer and wine.

This is, hands down, the Best. Pizza. I’ve. Ever. Had. Think, «Oh My God» good. I want this place to stay in business forever — because I plan on eating here once a week for the rest of my life. We had the«sweet pea» last week, as take-out, and the«Smokey Pinocchio» last night, eat-in. We’ve also had the Parmesan garlic wings both times. The ingredients are all fresh and unique, and the flavors — amazing! The wood-fired oven makes a HUGE difference in the taste of the pie. And the fun, funky toppings make this a true eating experience. For instance, when we saw that there were peas on a pizza, we thought, «Hmmm…will that be weird?» Let me tell you — it wasn’t. It was genius! Pure, unadulterated genius. I plan on trying every pizza on the menu. The Truffle honey pot is next on my list. I’ve had fig & prosciutto appetizers in the past and they were awesome, and given the amazing pizzas I’ve already tasted, I know it will blow away my expectations. If you’re not into funky toppings, build-your-own basic pies are just as delicious. My buddy had a bacon and cheese pizza last night, and ate more than half of the pie. It’s a small location, with maybe 10 tables — but they do serve beer and wine. It’s a casual destination with a friendly vibe — so eating in is nice, too. Come winter, the oven will be a great center piece for cold nights. Just go here. I guarantee you’ll be back.

Finally some good pizza in Marlborough! This is certainly the best pizza I’ve had in the area: cooked perfectly with a little char, thin crust, and just the right balance of sweet/tangy sauce and salty cheesy goodness. The wings were great too and definitely the best I’ve had from the surrounding pizza joints. Although, I admit, that’s not setting the bar high, these are still some tasty wings. The Greek salad was also good and fresh. We will definitely be going back to try everything else on the menu. Oh and the prices were certainly reasonable for the quality of the food. No complaints there.
