Gross. The epitome of American Pizza. To say it’s glutinous is an understatement. Their portions are absurd and a huge turnoff just looking at it. I’d rather eat a small piece of quality pizza than a giant piece of hot garbage. Had a slice and almost barfed. I don’t know why anyone would pay money for this crap. Go across the street to Papa Gino’s(no I don’t work for them). I’ve been going to Papa’s for 35+ years and have NEVER had a bad meal from them. Half the price, twice as good(or more).

Solid Boston north end pizza, the cheese and sauce are delicious in particular. The crust is a bit thicker and more bready than I enjoy but still a very good choice if you’re looking for pizza in Marlborough

Went in for lunch, the food looked amazing! Ordered my slice to-go– when I got to my car and tried to sneak a bite before I started driving it wasn’t heated thoroughly and was soggy with very little sauce. I absolutely LOVE Sal’s Pizza but this was extremely disappointing and I don’t think I’ll take the chance here again.

Good tasting pizza and the slice is huge! They have many different toppings to chose from, you just need to find your favorites. I recommend the chicken, bacon & ranch Bring your appetite.

Tried Clockwork, Pizza 19 and the new«Bruno’s»; all are ok, but this pizza was so much better. Fresh ingredients, tangy sauce, crispy crust. The hours are a little strange(an 8:00pm close is a bit early, no?), but we’ll definitely be making this our regular go-to pizza place.

Good pizza, huge slices. Sauce tastes like fresh tomatoes, not very spicy or thick which is fine by me.

The pizza is a hell of a deal. The cashier staff(not the cooks) are a bit wayward of par. The girl gave my order to a different customer and her excuse — as hollered from the back — was that she didn’t check the name. Seems like a day one practice, but I don’t work registers. The girl’s more competent colleague offered me a complimentary dessert and said she felt bad. I felt bad for her. After all, I’m not the one who has to work with a frightfully dim young girl. Luckily, I’ve never had a bad pizza in years from this place. Consistency deserves mention.

I’m with David T on this one. Bad reviews here are weird to me. The ingredients are always fresh, the dough is always perfectly cooked, and the staff always pleasant. The BBQ chicken pizza is very very good! But I really haven’t had bad slice. Only downside for me is that they don’t deliver. But I have had take-out on numerous occasions. I would easily recommend Sal’s and actually order from here when I have guests over and pizza is the preferred food my my guests.

Night staff is very sad, they need an understanding of what customer service is all about. Walked in with family at 7:45 to be told the dining room closes at 8:00, thus a$ 55.00 tab went to Papa Gino’s so we could dine in. On top of everything, the food at Papa Gino’s was very good so it all worked out for us…

Dine at other locations and have been satisfied with the food. Eaten here twice, ordered a calzone and a pizza, both were undercooked. The calzone was cold in the center and still had raw meat in it. The center crust of the pizza was raw dough and inedible. The kids working there are very apathetic and unprofessional. I shouldn’t know who you and your coworkers having relations with.

You come to a pizza place for pizza. Lesson learned. I ordered a salad with grilled chicken. Bad move. My chicken seems to have been reheated :(not fresh off the grill… BIGBUMMER!

I have ate at several sal’s pizzas and can easily say that this location by far has the worst quality out of all of them. The pizza here just taste cheap. This location never runs promotions that are advertised on there website. I tried ordering there super-bowl sunday deal and was very disappointed that they refused it. That was my last chance to try this place again but it’s a good thing there are so many other great pizza places in the area.

Wow… did they just have a huge price increase? We ordered 2 pizzas and it was $ 47 !! Yikes, wish Bertucci’s was still around.

I like this pizza. But the hours are retarded. 8pm on Wednesday? Lame. Worse, though, is this is the THIRD time I’ve called 20 minutes before closing and there’s just been no answer. A closing time for a restaurant is the time they stop seat or stop taking new orders. Not the time you can expect the door to be locked and the lights to be off. Our house orders from Sal’s at least once a week. Or did. I plan on introducing alternatives until they get their act together. If they ever do.

I am shocked by the bad reviews. This is what pizza should taste like. The crust is a dough crust and the sauce taste’s like pizza sauce(not to sugary). The cheese on a regular pizza is perfect. Never had a bad pizza from them and have ordered at least a dozen. Bottom line… Sal’s tastes like good New York pizza.

Ok food. Nothing special. My big problem with them was that they have a very small selection of subs, and they cant even make a damn steak and cheese!!! What kind of sub place is this? Better idea is to go to classic pizza folks.

I have been a fan of Sal’s since highschool… we used to get it every friday and it was awesome! So, I went here after a many year hiatus and I was pleasantly surprised with all of the flavors they had going on at this location. I got a bbq pork«slice» really its ¼ of a pie and my friend got something chicken… both were good, but I liked mine more and would get it again. You order your slice, and I wish they had you pay right there as you are ordering instead of when the food actually comes out, that is my pet peeve… other than that everyone was delish and there was plenty of seating.
