Not the best outback to visit outside of service… Arrived outside of the lunch rush. Place was pretty quiet but we still needed to wait for 2015 minutes for a table near an empty section of restaurant. We were seated at a table with lift up expansion sections even though there were 11 open tables within 5 feet. We asked to be reseated because it didn’t make sense to be uncomfortable. Reseated us after a fairly aloof uninterested manager told the hostess is was ok. Started our order… All draft beers were broken. One of the two wines by the glass we selected was out. Ordered seared ahi salad and the ahi was cold from edge to center. Seared ahi prepared to order would have warm edges. The baked potatoes were ok. The steak tacos were just ok. The chicken fingers were ok. The server, Amber, was very pleasant.

We went to Outback on Friday around dinner and we were very pleased with our service. The waitresses name was Lauren and she more than deserved her tip. My issue with the meal was that my flat iron steak was lukewarm. Yes, it was cooked correctly, but it wasn’t hot. I know it wasn’t her fault, but the kitchen’s. Also, how is a restaurant going to have a Happy Hour during the slow part of the day? Just doesn’t make sense.

Wait staff does not tell customers about hidden up-charges. Management was non committal about it when brought to their attention. Service was extremely slow. Food quality was fair at best.

Ordered 9 oz sirloin and shrimp with blue wedge salad and sweet potato. The steak was overcooked — twice. I ordered it medium, understanding that it could be a little too rare or a little too well. Neither of those things happened. Each time I was served a well done steak, not even a touch of red. Disappointed with the steak, I ate some of the second one because I wasn’t waiting around for another recook. The service was okay. Nothing was recommended nor were specials mentioned. We had to ask about the running specials — that we were emailed to us. It also took the manager 10 – 15 to come over and ask about the steak. She only came over 5 minutes after it had been redelivered. Best thing about this is experience was the salad. I’d come back for that not the steak.

After going to the gym. I was in the mood for some really good takeout that’s not fast food. So as I was getting ready to leave the gym I called curbside at outback steakhouse off Baratarria, Marrero. Well they told me 20 minutes and it took me about 15 to get there. As soon as I pulled up the young lady came out and brought me my food they wasted absolutely no time for curbside. It makes it easy when you don’t feel like getting all dressed up and having to wait to dine out.

So today I used the curbside takeaway & it was awesome! They bring everything out & even offer to load it into your car! The girl who delivered to me was very friendly, and very pleasant! Great job! The menu has been updated since my last visit. I love it! The new items are delicious!!! We tried the chicken tacos & they were scrumptious!!! Seriously the best tacos I’ve had in a long time! The herb aioli was amazing! My only negative review was on the chicken tortilla soup. I didn’t care for it. But that’s just my opinion. Overall GREAT experience! Keep up the good job y’all!

Wait staff and cooks are slow so a one hour lunch is almost impossible. Food never seems to be right, always inconsistent with portions, steak tasted old.

Horrible service, not even good food. Management didn’t care to inquire why I had to get up from the table and go to the hostess station to get my bill.

Meh. I don’t like chains. Call me a snob. I just don’t. A friend of mine was having a good bye dinner here so we stopped in and I brought my open mind. We sat at the bar and it was what it was. The good thing about sitting at the bar is that the beers are a plenty. For an appetizer we ordered the buffalo chicken dip which came with chips and celery(???). It was pretty good and had some good flavor. I got an order of mac and cheese because pasta and cheese is always a win. This was the highlight of the night. Seriously, the mac and cheese was amazing. As an entrée I got the Outback burger, medium-rare with cheddar cheese. It was decent, but I have definitely had a better burger elsewhere. I don’t want to sound snooty– I liked it, but I’ve had better. The burger was cooked medium, which isn’t a huge deal, but when I order medium-rare, I want medium-rare. Also, I think my big complaint with the burger was that the bun overwhelmed the meat. The bun was a little too fluffy and bready. When I have a burger, I want the burger to be the star of the show. I took home half of the burger, and after taking it off of the bun, I could really appreciate that the burger was at least juicy. I will say that the bar staff was on point. They were extremely attentive and quick to get us our order.

Food was amazing and our waiter was even better. Unfortunately I can’t remember his name, but he was great. Made date night perfect. Will absolutely be back!

We had a party of 6, and our waiter, William, did an excellent job! He kept the fresh baked bread coming, and our food orders were correct the first time. Good service will keep me coming back to this restaurant.

Poor food and poor service. As an avid steak lover, Outback used to be my go to spot for steak dinners on a budget. The quality has gone considerably down. After being burned several times with subpar food and service, I refuse to patronize this place.

Food came in as ordered! Not like other places where there is always something wrong!

As far as Outbacks go, this one is pretty terrible. The food is a little below average for Outback, and the service is horrible. I have been here quite a few times, but only out of convenience and the reliability of knowing I’m getting Outback.

When I tell you the food here is good. He only problem I have is with some of the servers don’t smile enough to the customers. Besides that I love bringing my family to this place to eat.

My wife and I went celebrating our anniversary. We ordered the onion mum and it was sp greasy and nasty after the 3−4th piece. My wife ordered the Victiorian Fillet(Medium) and it was cooked very well. I ordered a ribeye(Medium Rare) and it came out somewhere in between blued and rare. I sent it back and it was burned to a crisp. They took it away in hopes of bringing me a fresh perfectly cooked medium rare and it was so rubbery that I could not even cut it. I then ordered a NY strip and I think out of mallice it was seasoned with so much black pepper on one side of the that my mouth and throat tasted as if I had swallowed battery acid. I WILLNEVERRETURNTOTHEMARREROOUTBACK I will drive across the river to Metairie for one more chance.

After giving this place a few chances I don’t think we’ll be back. On one occasion I ordered the«fall off the bone ribs» and literally could not even cut through them with a steak knife. The last time we went my husband ordered a burger special that had double patties. Each of the patties could not have been any bigger than a McDonald’s patty. They were clearly cheap, frozen burgers. I ordered the outback special medium and got a tough medium-well steak. The onion mum was also very greasy, like they put it straight on the plate from the fryer instead of letting it drain a little first. Too expensive for the quality, but at least the service is usually good.

Last November I left a review for Outback on Urbanspoon, seeing as no reviews since I feel it better suited for Unilocal. The overall experience this visit was quite dismal, very little to any good things to speak about. It didnt help the table we were seated in leaned quite a bit as my son’s crayons kept rolling towards the floor. Service — We arrived a little after 7 fully expecting it to be busy, we waited but were sat ahead of same size parties that were ahead of us, I asked about it and was told«oh don’t worry about it». Our waitress was friendly but quite absent minded, we finished our appetizers before getting silverware, after asking twice. She would come stack up plates at the end of our table but then walk off, later to return with a 3rd refill after just receiving a full one. Every instance of seeing her was at least 10 minutes or so even after giving money to pay for our bill. Lastly what was bothersome was walking out to have the host open the door for a couple walking it but immediately walk away when we were to walk out, all the while making eye contact with myself, sure I can open my own doors but quite nonsensical. Food — My wife ordered the outback special with the lobster mac and green beans while I ordered the outback special with caesar salad and broccoli, both of us requested medium rare. Our appetizer came, son’s food came, finished both and still was a 20 minute wait before receiving our food. The caesar salad I received had wilted lettuce as was completely swimming in dressing. The steaks had to have been the worst steak I have ever eaten at this location when their steaks are usually their high note. The steaks were both medium-medium well instead of the requested Medium rare, I made the comment to the waitress that it wasn’t cooked correctly but we didnt wish to wait longer and she might want to just say something to the kitchen before more steaks are cooked improperly. She didn’t offer to remedy the situation, take my comment into consideration but instead told me that my steak was medium rare and thats the way it should look, now I wish I would have taken a picture. Also, the steaks seemed to either be old or lack of marinade/seasoning as they were extremely bland and had a quite discerning taste, not fresh at all. On a positive note, the broccoli was cooked perfectly and tasted great but the same could not be said for my wife’s green beans which were an oddity of textures with no flavor whatsoever. Long story short, with their ever increasing prices and the inconsistency from the kitchen and waitstaff I think we will be skipping outback for a while until we muster up enough courage to give it another shot. I feel I have given this place too many chances but have come up short every time.

Our sever was Sally(well, that’s what it said on our check). She was an Asian girl with blue colored contacts. She got two out of three orders wrong and blamed me for my order being wrong.(when ordering, she said the default dude was French fries and I said that would be fine). She also heard my boyfriend order some sort of chicken sandwich, he wad really specific about it, but he received the fillet focaccai sandwich. Which is like a steak sub you dip in nasty juice. She a wasn’t very polite and it just really got to me when she blamed me for me not getting the thing she offered me. She didn’t even offer us dessert before giving us the check. We might go back, but only to get food«to go».

In a pinch, Outback is a lifesaver. Full disclosure — it’s about a 10 minute drive from my house, so it’s one of very few eating options for dinner nearby. I may be a little biased due to lack of other options. This location is always ridiculously crowded, so we usually choose not to eat in. Typically I’ll go online(they have a mobile website too), place an order for pickup(fully customizable if you have any special requests), and then swing by in the 15 – 20 mins that it estimates for it to be prepared. Also, they have curbside pickup, so you never have to leave your car. Yes, it’s a chain, but it’s extremely convenient. It’s a good alternative to other takeout in the area(«do you want pizza or Chinese food?»). They have an extensive menu, including kids’ options. There isn’t anything that has ever really WOWed me at Outback, but I’ve never had a bad meal.
